Vance

Vance woke up in a cave underneath Mount LaWouge, face to face with what used to be his skeleton. He had been absorbed and assimilated into a bright orange slime, with no memory of his life prior to being devoured, and only a handful of his previous belongings having survived the acid-like dissolution. Acting on what he believes used to be his lifelong dream, based on a postcard his previous self had carried, he set forth with intentions to become a hit showman. Vance now runs an underground Casino in the very cave system he awoke in, performing shows and networking with patrons in the hopes that one may have a lead on finding his original life.

Slimes are a very simple species. They are numerous in dark, damp places, and come in a variety of colors. Slimes are brainless and lack sentience, until they devour a victim and absorb their personality and aura. They can morph into any shape and color shift, but must stay within the same relative volume of their target form. The act of assimilating a personality completely wipes all of the mind's past memories, and it's not too uncommon for the average slime to be wracked with guilt and anguish
