Asahi is a 3rd year in Denkouse High, a school that trains heroes to serve and protect people. Asahi excels in every test he takes and often ends up in 1st place, but he's also competing with another student who's in the same level as him. Asahi's hero persona is Kosui and he uses a katana.
Appearance
Asahi has short, spiky, and thick black hair. He has a tall and muscular build. Asahi wears red eyeshadow anywhere, even at home. He has eyebrow scars on both eyebrows, Asahi has them because he thinks they're cool.
Kosui wears a yukata that's traditionally meant for women, and he wears a turtleneck underneath his yukata. He wears long gloves that almost reach to his elbows, and he wears a fox mask. Kosui sometimes takes off his yukata when they feel too heavy on him.
Personality
Asahi is the type of person to get the job done quick when it comes to his hero duties, and when things don't go his way, he's quick to think many ways he could do to defeat his opponent/s. Asahi doesn't give up until he reaches his goals. Asahi is a protective and leader-like hero, but outside of his hero persona, he's a bit childish and gets lost in conversations easily unless you give him candy. Asahi's attention span in conversations is low when a topic doesn't interest him. (For example, what type of girl he likes)
Asahi loves being praised and showered with affection. Asahi never gets tired of being praised no matter what. He also likes it when teachers give him tips and don't just complain mindlessly. He prefers that they tell him what they're actually bothered with. When Asahi's angry, he takes his anger out on training or studying since he's worried he might lash out on others if he tries to confide in them, but he does feel relieved when people are willing to listen to his worries no matter what.

- Asahi is good at taking care of children. He can keep up with their energy and is quick to protect them.
- Asahi is skilled at offense, though he does react a bit late whenever he's fighting at daylight. He gets distracted by sunlight.

History
Asahi spent most of his childhood playing with his father, and after his father passed away, Asahi played by himself or with Mizuki instead of spending time with his mother. Asahi didn't feel comfortable with his mother, their relationship was uncomfortably awkward. Before his father died, his mother would complain about every single thing his father does, like how he cleans the house, how he cooks, and many things. Asahi noticed his father was always stressed out whenever his mother nitpicked on something he did, which made Asahi feel sorry for his father and spent more time with him to cheer him up. After finding out that his father is suffering from an illness, Asahi made a goal to make his father happy everyday before his death, so that he'll keep smiling til his death. Every time Asahi sees his mother's face, he can't help but feel upset since she only comes to see his father when she needs something from him.
When Asahi's father died, Asahi, along with Mizuki mourned for him except his mother. Asahi knew that his mother only cared for his father's money and after the funeral, he couldn't forget his mother's words when Asahi's tears came out. "Stop crying, you're a man. You already spent so much time with him, why would you cry?" Asahi then distanced himself from his mother. However, Asahi couldn't escape from her no matter what, since his mother kept making him do chores even when he's busy with schoolwork. Just like what his mother did to his father, she would nitpick every single thing Asahi did and every time Asahi stood up to her, she would accuse him of being disrespectful and tell him horrible things that stuck to his mind.
"You should have died instead of your father." "Why can't you just be respectful to your mother?" "This is the only thing you're good for." Asahi enjoys school and despite how stressful studying can be, he would rather stay in school than come home to be berated by his mother. Because of the abusive environment he went through, Asahi craves for affection and approval from others, and since his father isn't with him anymore, he feels incredibly lonely.
