Profile

A confirmed member of the Terror, the player characters know Gabriele Colin from a photo involving them, Florence, and a Stand user they believe to be linked to the city's erased victims (Curtis).  Quentin mentioned their name and appearance as someone that offered him shelter in exchange for "joining them."  They seem a little naive despite their association with a conspiracy; they think the "Terror" name "makes them sound evil."

Known Backstory:

Besides Quentin, they also apparently made an offer to Hansen Orzabal, which he apparently accepted.

According to Florence, she and Gabriele were previously homeless, until "their boss" (later revealed to be Anthony, much to the players' astonishment) took them in and "gave them everything," including their Stand ability.  Unfortunately, circumstances prevented any further elaboration, but it's safe to say Florence is telling the truth about her and them, given they're in a relationship and even live together.

As part of the Terror/Delta Machine, the duo goes along with Anthony's instructions, up to and including assisting in abductions and murders.  While they're aware of the brutality of it, to them, it's just the price to pay for a comfortable life.

In-Game Timeline (Act 1):

Their Stand was used to silence Hansen, but posthumous notes from him led the party to a network of cameras in the city that led to a "vacant" office building stuffed with security monitors...and a desk with a coffee mug that had "Gabriele" written on it, clear as day.  Kind of a weird place of employment, but any lead is a good lead.

Gabriele would correspond via phone to obtain information along with "missions" for them to do, and when the party found their phone number (also thanks to Hansen), Gabriele seemed nervous to talk, instead handing over the phone to Florence.  Florence handled intimidating the party much better, intentionally stating that she knows who they are.  She didn't reveal much besides that, though; she mostly just threatened them and hung up.

Upon hunkering down at the seemingly-vacant-security-camera-monitoring-building, the party encountered Gabriele's shadow person-esque Stand and subsequently kicked it to the curb, with the building and the monitors collapsing in the crossfire.  However, Gabriele's Stand can't talk, so the party had to track down Gabriele themself--unconscious and being ushered to a hospital after their beatdown.

Florence tracked down Gabriele's hospital room around the same time as the party, with Gabriele barely conscious and not able to reveal much information--other than that Anthony's apparently their boss.  Florence was still more than ready to fight, but then the scene was cut short by the reality-warping Stand that controls the city, it seemingly crying out in distress for the fight to "just stop."

In-Game Timeline (Act 2):

A mysterious Stand called「Endless Fantasy」overwrote the memories of parts of the city and characters' relationships while simultaneously skipping time forward a couple months.  The players and NPCs were victims alike, and eventually regained varying degrees of knowledge of what had been reset.  They and Florence had become friends with the party(!) and claimed to be members of a property management firm called "Delta Machine."  The players knew this previously as the name of an organization trying to get Anthony elected...but the player characters didn't remember that anymore.

Suspicion set in anew as Kathy began her investigation anew in this timeline, and Delta Machine itself still seems to be some sort of front, potentially connected to both the Terror and the mafia (or are the Terror and the mafia one and the same?), and definitely connected to Anthony.  Indeed, this suspicion was proven correct when the two of them began to attack the party once more, shortly after they had all broken out of Endless Fantasy's grip.  The final confrontation with the duo happened with the party's effort to save Daniel and Laurent from an attack by Delta Machine.

After a struggle, Florence eventually surrendered, getting Gabriele to stand down as well.  She confirmed a fear about the nature of their previous friendship: Endless Fantasy had influenced them both to be friendly with the party, and they had returned to their duties only after breaking out of it.  This strikes the players as odd, considering Endless Fantasy is thought to be their enemy, assumedly in line with Delta Machine's machinations.  Whatever the case, it's this taste of friendship that created this new opportunity for peace.  Betraying Delta Machine comes with a cost, however: Florence and Gabriele now demand the party's protection, as the rest of the organization will be after them in order to silence them.  Are they up for the task?

Ability: 「Invisible Touch

Long-Distance, Bound, Sentient

Invisible Touch is a Stand bound to Gabriele Colin's shadow.  It can act independently from Gabriele when active and even separate itself from them completely, with the "tell" that Gabriele no longer has a shadow.  It appears to have its own personality, told only through body language, as it apparently does not talk.  IT can interact "physically" with other shadows connected to people and objects, and create "real" things out of shadowgraphy with its own silhouette. For example, if it makes a shadow puppet of a dog with its hands, and then "bites" someone else's shadow, the owner of the shadow will suddenly suffer from a dog bite wound.  In turn, others' shadows and shadow figures can affect it.

While it of course has Gabriele's silhouette, it can have its own change of "clothes."

Other:

  • They were created to be a foil to a player character that also believes they have a greater purpose in the city due to having a Stand.
  • The flower crown they wear was a gift from Florence.  The yellow roses represent friendship, but they're dating, actually.
  • They were my first JJBA fancharacter I designed that really stuck with me!  I tried a few before (on top of AUing some existing OCs) but they weren't clicking until I designed Gabriele.
  • They're named after Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, past and current frontmen of Genesis.
  • They're kind of a spiritual successor to my older OC Juliet, but they're not similar enough that I'd make them tabs of one another.
  • Their abilities were inspired by the shadow people phenomenon and were initially introduced as such in-game.  Making the Stand sentient also gives a Peter Pan air about them; wasn't intended but it works anyway!
