Noriel first comes across as very tired and distant, and would rather do things herself, making her very street-smart and adaptable. She doesn't talk very much if at all but is constantly observing and analyzing everything internally. Noriel is quite sensitive to her surroundings and can feel other peoples' emotions easily, being hyper-aware of when someone's getting annoyed or angry, or have ulterior motives has made her nervous of what people are capable of and is part of the reason she doesnt trust others easily. She has a hard time perceiving her own emotions as real, however, but she has figured out when something feels Good and that's all she seeks for now. She just wants to mind her own business avoiding problems as much as possible and will dismiss her personal bad situations, brushing them off with jokes but if you want to bring problems her way she is very firm about her own self worth and will fight back if she really has to.
Once you get to know her, she is very shy and anxious but a bit of a trickster once you gain her trust who just wants to lay back and crack jokes. She seeks for affection but doesn't really know how to ask for it. If she loves and respects someone she wants them to know but because she's not used to talking much she will stutter a lot and panic. Even if she has learned to mind her own business, her empathy tends to get the best of her at times. Her experiences made her hyper empathetic but her social skills are crap so it’s useless lol. Noriel is trying to learn to trust again, but she has grown up to believe the entire world is out for her head and that has made her quite skittish even when she doesn't mean to.
Lots of fears and past memories cloud her mind and judgement, like a constant shadow hovering above her weighting her down.

• Scars: Bite mark on neck, claw marks on upper arm, belly and left heel. Bite and claw marks on both legs, cuts around hands, wrists and face (lip and right cheek) and burns on shoulders.

•Her hands are small… She is small.
Trivia
• Has chronic migraines.
• Noriel has perfect pitch. Because of that she was able to teach herself the lute and can learn new instruments very quickly.
• She has creepy shadows that always follow her around. They are not really there/real, rather more just symbolism for... things. Sometimes she can see shadows that represent other people's fears too.
• Max is the one that gifted Noriel her black binder! Using bandages for that wasn't very good.
• Noriel's favorite place to relax on is the secret garden near the river.
• Noriel has aquaphobia and is deeply afraid of rain and thunderstorms. They are too loud for her.
• She has C-PTSD. This affects her life experience a lot. Certain things make her dissociate sometimes.
• Noriel travels around by walking on rooftops, she likes to look at the view and take naps up there.
• The scars on her hands and wrists weren't properly taken care of so they still hurt sometimes. That's why she wraps bandages around them to protect them.

Kana | Older Sister
They chose each other, Noriel doesn't have a relationship with anyone as strong as the one she has with Kana, it's a unique and special bond that they have both built over time. Noriel finds an unimaginable ammount of emotional security in Kana, they are a lot more open, talkative and affectionate around her alongside the occasional teasing. Noriel would rather die than let you take Kana away from her. However Noriel is also the only person in their entire friendgroup willing to throw something at Kana's face.
Loona | Adoptive Mom
Similar but different in ways that complement each other. Loona's basically the adult figure that Noriel really needed support from. They didn't have the nicest of beginnings but now they stick together like glue. Noriel looks up to Loona, they can get into trouble together and be sassy little shits for fun. Dont try to start shit because tag teaming to bully someone is so easy for them that you will curmble to dust on the spot.
Leo | Ex-friend
She doesn't like talking about him.
And yet she can't help but join the conversation with a remark or a joke every time his name is brough up. Looking at each other now gives her a new sense of dread she has never felt before and it makes her stomach twist in on itself.
Max | Comfort Friend #1
Cool older cousin type of vibe. Noriel admires Max greatly, she hasn't found a person she can relate to this much before and in a way wishes to be like them someday. Noriel is very anxious bb while Max is more extroverted, calm and positive so they become a source of comfort specially when Kana's not around.
Ash | Friend
Ash intimidates them a bit. Not in a bad way but more in a you are my sister's super cool girlfriend and I'm just a lil guy kind of way. Noriel sadly can't remember the situation that made them and Kana meet Ash for the first time. Ash can be a lot and Noriel knows this, however whenever Ash's around her she seems to become unusually sweet and tender and that only confuses Noriel even more.
Bobby | Comfort Friend #2
Noriel finds him very intriguing, he has many varied thoughts and ideas and that spikes Noriel's curiosity, which is honestly something that doesn't happen very often. They like to follow him around and look at what he's working on. Bobby's the only other introvert from her friendgroup at the moment so they get each other!
Wander | Adoptive Dad
Wander gets on Noriel's soft side very easily, he loves exploring and learning new things and that motivates Noriel to open up to the idea of that as well as far as she gets to do it with him. The two of them like listening to Kana's gossip and cooking together.
Chad | Disdain
Would rather not talk about this one either.
Did he care? He seemed like he cared. She never understood his way of thinking and at this point she's too afraid to ask.
