Warm Body

Ava is a being of fire, and is constantly generating heat. Because of this, she doesn't feel the cold, and is immune to hypothermia and other effects of freezing. Eating ice cream is a bit of a problem, but if she eats it fast she can maybe still get a brain freeze.

Flare Up

A technique that cannot be called on command as of yet. When Ava becomes overcome with rage, the fire builds up inside of her, and releases wherever it can. While Flaring Up, she can spit fire as far as 30ft in front of her, and her hair can literally catch on fire. Once a flare-up occurs, it is very hard for her to stop, making it problematic for friend AND foe...

Flame Sphere

A defensive technique, Ava summons and manipulates the fire from her hands, and weaves a sphere around a target. This keeps an enemy at bay, hampered by the extreme heat. This also gives her a chance to take a brief time out to recooperate if need be, as only she can stand the flames. She has to concentrate the whole time on this technique for it to hold, and if that focus is broken, she's vulnerable.

Personality

There is no one in this world that cares more than Ava Ottlinger. What she feels, she feels loudly--be that joy or pain, anger and sadness, excitement and fear. Ava carries a deep empathy within her, and with the power entrusted to her, she'll protect everyone in Holloway City to her dying breath.

On the outside, Ava looks confident and well adjusted. She's a good listener, easy to talk to, and lights up the room whenever she speaks. When the situation calls for it, she can take charge, and make hard decisions where others would waffle. When it comes to her friends, she'd fight fiercely on their behalf...but fighting for herself? Well, she can be a bit uncertain.

Ava is easily the most maternal of the group, often looking after the others to make sure they're alright--emotionally and physically. She's incredibly intuitive, and often will go out of her way to lend a hand to a stranger, even if it hinders her goals in the end. She lives like a literal flame--she can be warm and nurturing, but in extremes, she can become far too much...

Unfortunately for Ava, she is known for her dangerous temper. While she has almost completely mastered her pyrokinesis, when her anger gets the best of her, Ava can become a danger to others around her and herself. Due to a past experience, she fears her abilities, and has tried her hardest to limit her powers--even in battle. This self-imposed pressure builds and builds inside of her, until one day, surely, it will burst into flames...

Although she is so outwardly generous, internally, she views herself in an opposing way. In her mind, she feels she must always make up for who she is, and what she's done...how can she face her parents now, when she's changed so much? Burning steadily, she works herself to the wick without realizing.
