☆ Puzzle Solving; Location loves solving puzzles, especially if they are ones he hasn’t encountered before. Due to his terrifying memory recollection ability, he remembers the solution to every puzzle he’s ever solved- so he doesn’t enjoying repeating the ones he has already solved. The Rubix cube is the only exception to this, as he likes to think that the cube represents his life; no matter what happens to it or how mixed up it seems to get, it always turns out to be the same, boring cube with a preset pattern.

ғʀɪᴇɴᴅs:

☆ Adrian; biological older brother. Location doesn’t like talking to him, as he believes that Adrian is extremely mentally unstable. As children, Adrian used to test his healing magic on Location by brutally damaging his body over and over again, knowing that Location’s body could handle it due to the magic it possessed.

☆ Sesshō; technically Location’s nephew. Sesshō is currently staying with Location, as he refuses to stay with his creator, Adrian. Knowing how scary Adrian can be, Location doesn’t mind the inconvenience of Sesshō’s sudden company.

☆ Alder; closest friend. Alder is what Location considers the one good thing in his life, as Alder is completely unpredictable.

☆ “Unnerving Dislocation”

☆ All of Location’s joints, tendons, and muscles are made of a magic, elastic-like substance, allowing him to dislocate them and stretch them around in ways they aren’t originally supposed to.

☆ Contrasting with his brother’s magic healing ability that causes immense pain throughout the healing process, Location’s magic allows his body to defy normal anatomy without harm or pain. He lacks pain receptors around his magic-affected areas, so whenever they are stretched or dislocated from their positions, he does not feel pain in those areas.

However, the spots that aren’t affected by magic, such as his skin, bones, arteries, veins, and other such important parts, CAN be damaged and feel pain.

As all of the body’s systems are interconnected, and affecting one affects the others, it basically means that even if Location pulls out his shoulder joint from its socket and feels nothing, he would feel pain somewhere else in his body that isn’t protected by his magic from the action.

His brother experimented on him ruthlessly during their childhood to find out these details upon discovering his younger sibling’s magic. Adrian wanted to know exactly what ticked in his brother’s body; what areas could resist pain and could be messed with, and what areas were less than interesting.

☆ Location is a very neutral Alkarnabi, refusing to spare mostly anyone the time of day, nor the simplest of expressions. Nothing seems to surprise him, or even interest him in the slightest. Most would say he acts like a nihilist.

☆ He doesn’t hold himself with an air of superiority, but he definitely acts like everyone around him is not worth his time. He doesn’t like meaningless conversations, nor does he care about being polite whatsoever. The only thing he seems to care about is finding new things and learning everything he can about it.

☆ When something does interest him, he gets hyper-fixated on whatever peaked his curiosity until that interest eventually dissipates.

☆ An important aspect of Location’s personality revolves around him being diagnosed with hyperthymesia, also known as “highly superior autobiographical memory” (HSAM). For more information on his syndrome, please see Location’s backstory. But in quick summary, the definition of this illness is “the ability to accurately recall an exceptional number of experiences and their associated dates from events occurring throughout much of one’s lifetime”.

☆ With his incredible memory, he remembers everything with excruciating detail, even being able to recall moments going back YEARS when he was first born... so, it’s gotten to the point where life has seemed too predictable to him. His friend Alder is the only wild card in his life, and Alder’s sociopathic tendencies often catch Location’s attention most of the time. Alder is unpredictable and pretty dangerous, but Location admires that sense of recklessness. He is desperate to make more interesting memories with Alder.

ᴇᴍᴏᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ᴡᴇᴀᴋɴᴇss:

☆ There are many, many things wrong mentally with Location. But the main issue is that his mind is severely overstimulated. Since he remembers in great detail almost every single event that has happened in his life, his mind is constantly overwhelmed by all the details surrounding him, no matter how small. He’s always scrounging for new things, since repeating details keep pounding in his mind over and over again. Please see backstory for further information on his mental instability.

ᴘʜʏsɪᴄᴀʟ ᴡᴇᴀᴋɴᴇss:

☆ None; he is actually pretty physically strong, considering the fact that his body has been put through the ringer, both figuratively and literally. Even with his magic, he’s been broken and put back together again so many times, that his body has built up its own version of a callus.

☆ Location had a rather normal childhood... except for the fact that he had a scarily good memory. And I mean SCARILY; to the point where he could explain to his parents remembering what it was like being in the womb.

☆ At first, they believed it to be his Alkarnabi magic manifesting as he was getting older, gifting him with incredible recall. But that theory was quickly debunked when Location and his brother Adrian were play fighting one day, and Adrian pulled Location’s arm just a bit too far back, dislocating it in the process.

☆ His parents were freaking out, but Location just shoved his arm back into place with the help of his brother and kept playing. After a long conversation with the two brothers, his parents discovered that his magic had everything to do with his body, and nothing with his mind.

☆ Upon discovering this realization, they took him to many doctors and scientists for memory tests, MRI’s, and so many other types of exams until he was finally diagnosed with “hyperthymesia”, also known as “highly superior autobiographical memory”. As mentioned earlier in the personality section, this syndrome means that the person can instantly create long term memories in their mind and recall them with insane detail. The syndrome is very rare and very hard to diagnose, so his parents had no clue what to do.

☆ Meanwhile, Location’s brother Adrian was discovering his own magic. He found that he could fix any wound by creating new cells and stitching them into said wound, however, he also found that it was very painful for whomever he tested his magic on. His magic didn’t work on himself, so he went with the next best test monkey; his brother.

☆ Over the years, Adrian tested the limits of his and his brother’s magic, causing Adrian’s love of anatomy to grow alongside Location’s hatred. Adrian put Location through so much pain and torture, all for the sake of putting defining quantities on their magical abilities.

☆ The years grew long, and eventually Location was able to free himself from Adrian’s constructive grasp. However, he left broken and traumatized. He remembered every single experimental session with his brother down to the memory of the slightest twinge in each muscle as Adrian cut, sliced, and yanked on Location’s body.

☆ At that point, life became boring in Location’s eyes. He begged for new memories to cloud his mind, to force out the recollections of pain he suffered over the years, but no matter how much he wanted to forget- his mind wouldn’t allow it.
