Ponzu Bourré's Links
Ponzu's known Merida for quite sometime through the shared interest in gacha games. The two of them are in the same guild for the game in question and, due to that, talk frequently in the guild's server.
Ponzu's initial thought about Sunny was incredible concern. Why the hell was someone so terrified of the chasms heading there? Concern turns into disbelief when he sees Sunny's strong potential as a persona user -- but after they felled the boss of that mission, Ponzu curiously wondered where she'd go from there.
The next he hears of Sunny is through rumors. Betraying the party? Working with Lety? And a desire to find despair, to top it off...this was nothing like the meek girl he meet awhile back. His worries outweigh his anger, as he collects more information.
After the fall of Lety, Ponzu finally meets Sunny once more, and learns that she has been raising slimes -- the labeled enemy of humanity -- with the idealized goal of bringing Lety back. Ponzu's quick to realize, however, that when Sunny pits these young slimes against everyone...Sunny doesn't actually want this battle to happen.
For the sake of the slimes, the other crew members, and Sunny herself, Ponzu pulls Sunny away from her dangerous ideals and grounds her -- makes her aware she has something she cares for, something that she shouldn't sacrifice. And when Sunny recognizes that, Ponzu is grateful.
After all of these events, Ponzu's viewpoint of Sunny is overall positive. Despite the things that she's done, he sees the good in what she's doing in the now. With hope, he believes, maybe she can encourage everyone that not all the slimes are bad -- she's convinced Ponzu, at the least.
Ponzu sees Ono initially as a brat, a pain in the ass, and absolutely someone he doesn't want to babysiit -- oh, and, he's not a grandpa, darnit! However, as they traverse the Labyrinths, he grows to worry about his safety and, after Ono goes missing, decides that if anyone's going to keep an eye on the kid, it's him. Ono and him have a shared interest in Gacha games, for better or for worse -- and end up going to cafes and other small hang out spots during the game's in-game events.
He's absolutely a grandpa, and kind of a buzzkill with his whole attitude, but I GUESS he's okay. He's not a top gacha player like I am, but he can stay on my raiding team.
A reliable ally who Ponzu worked alongside to take on the chasm's threats. Capable of handling Pierce's rougher quips with quips of his own, yet respects his desire to work as a team. Sometimes, he's the voice of reason when Pierce's self-esteem drops, though Ponzu's approach sometimes comes off...a bit more curt than he'd like to be.
Ponzu is still a bit of a mystery to Pierce, but he's worked enough alongside him to trust him. He likes to shoot the shit back and forth with Ponzu, but he's still freaked out by the gun. He hasn't seen Ponzu in a while though; ever since they took down Lety, seems their jobs just don't line up.
She's pretty popular, huh? (Ponzu has a crush on her because of her well crafted cosplay, and totally won't admit to it.)
Since Mirin knows Ponzu, Strawberry's willing to trust him. Is definitely aware to some capacity that he likes her, but who doesn't?
Ponzu primarily knows Milana through the chasms incident, and the two of them relate well due to similar work backgrounds. While he's begun to wonder what her workplace has been up to, he trusts at the least that Milana will make sure things don't veer into anything dangerous.
Guinevere is Ponzu's boss, and a respectable one at that - being stern when needed, but kind to those who have put their 100% in, Ponzu finds her easy to work with. Outside of work, the two often play gacha games, and the two (along folks like Ono Merida) often join raids together. During times like this, he'll call her 'Mira'.
Since adopting Ono, Ponzu asks for advice about raising a kid from her - something that is an AWFUL idea but the two are doing their best.
Ponzu is one of her employees, who through his hard work, trusts a lot. She's well aware of his gacha addiction (and even has rewarded overtime with gacha pulls before), but sees no ill harm to it so long as he gets the job done. In fact, his interest in gacha is what got her into playing in the first place - and why she continues to play to this day.
After Ponzu adopted Ono, he looks to her as a source of advice, which is TERRIFYING for her as she's well aware that she doesn't know how to take care of a kid properly. Still, through the two talking...maybe she can learn as well, and provide Cordelia with better care than she's given her in the past.
Ponzu has seen her in and out of the cafe before, and he's definitely seen her online. He doesn't have much reason to talk to her...so why is she suddenly noisy about a guy like him?
While after first she saw him as just a 'grumpy old man' (as Ono might put it), recent events have given her 2000% more interest in wanting to talk to him.
He's still grumpy, though.
