APPEARANCE

Maddie usually wears 1960s or 1980s inspired or dated attire along with self-created pieces somewhere between those eras and modern ravewear. she is often seen wearing her favorite accessories which include a blue woven cord choker and many plastic bangal bracelets. She also owns a gun for self defense purposes, but advocates for proper gun safety.

She does not leave the house often, if at all, other than to grocery shop and go to Brad's studio. She does photoshoots there, and always signs autographs when people come up to her wanting one. She's made a name for herself with the residual fame from UFOGirls and uses it to boost her solo work.

PERSONALITY

Maddie is a nice, charasmatic vintage clothing enthusiast and somewhat well known rapper. Her fanbase consists mostly of other trans people. She loves the positive attention and validation she gets from her empowering music in a fuzzy kind of way. She has a wall in her bedroom full of fan art people have made for her. Maddie is a genuinely nice person with a heart of gold. While she is very strong, she can break under pressure easily in arguments due to her past experiences. Maddie often worries about Avril, the head member of her past band UFOgirls, running into her and threatening her to rejoin the band. It's not entirely clear whether this is a founded fear or not, Avril has definitely used fear tactics to get her way in the past.

HISTORY

Maddie was an honest person all throughout her time alive. She transitioned at a relatively young age and changed schools, and because of that she felt as though she'd never be subject to the atrocities committed on other trans folk which made her angry at society. She spent most of her living adult life advocating for trans rights and spent most of her free time and money protesting under the guise of being a cis ally (despite just being stealth)in fear of coming out publicly. She was okay being alone making art and punk music with her friends and roomates in college. Due to her closeted transness she never felt the need to pursue a relationship out of fear of rejection. Maddie struggled a lot with her feelings of being invalid for not wanting to get surgery during her living adult life. Being alive meant fearing death, and that meant living in constant paranoid fear of anything that could hurt you.

At 26 she met Brad Korps, a weird college nursing student in her area with nothing to his name but a couple instruments and a dream. He spoke with an Australian accent and dressed like the human personification of Brit Rock. After knowing him for around a year and moving in with him, he was caught in a tragic hospital accident in which a nuclear reactor destroyed the entire place and a several mile radius around it. While she wasn't in the blast, she felt the radiation heavily and eventually passed in her sleep a few weeks later in their shared apartment, too fast to process her friend's death.

When it happened, she woke up the next day like any other day and got ready like any other day: except when she looked in the mirror a bright pink zombie looked back at her. She justifiably started to freak out until she got a minor grip on what was happening. That's when Brad, now half skeleton, walks in the room and tries to comfort her. It does not work right away, but in the next few weeks she grew to understand her situation. They were still on earth, still breathing oxygen. Nothing had changed yet at the same time everything felt so different. She was now in the plane of the dead.

When she died she realized there was no harm in living the way she wanted now that any and everything she feared was gone. She first, after death, joined a band asking for members she saw a flier for on the street and quickly shot to the top with her charasmatic personality. After about a solid year of being in the regionally acclaimed band UFOgirls, she told them she'd be on her way to make her own music. That was not very well recieved, as the lead singer of the band Avril sent another member (Kristen) to "talk" to Maddie about it which resulted in Maddie's massive facial scar. Seeing how absolutely disgustingly petty her bandmates were was what made her book it home that night and leave forever. Brad, now a registered nurse, treated Maddie's wound and talked to her about what was next. After a few months of flying under the radar, she released Her first album NO PAPARAZZI. it detailed her experiences with catcalling, men, making music, drugs, sexuality, and common trans fears among other experiences of hers.

Unlike her music when she was alive, this music was all rap and pushed an agenda- she even had a few songs in there about radiation and war. With help from brad, they took the state of Kentucky by storm and soon started making money. In death, she became an extremely important icon of trans women empowerment and is finally living the life she'd always wanted for herself free of fear like many other zombies.

RELATIONSHIPS

Brad

Brad was Maddie's best friend before her death and joined her afterward to create their own studio and brand for trans empowering music. He works as a nurse in his spare time due to him finising up his nursing degree post mortem, and always wear a clean white suit and skateboards as his main mode of travel. He was of a human-mimicing alien race when alive so that's why his bones are green and his teeth are weird.

Avril

Avril is the main member of Maddie's past band UFOgirls, and she is quite the ringleader! Maddie wants nothing to do with her after she split from the band and would like to keep it that way going foreward. While Avril has never done anything physically abusive towards her, she was always putting her down verbally telling her things like "i have no idea how you're our most popular member!" or "maybe if you could play an instrument like Guitar i'd treat you better". she is also the mastermind behind orchestrating Maddie's facial scar.

Kristen

Despite how much she hates Avril, Maddie definitely dislikes Kristen even more starting out. Kristen was the one to give Maddie her facial scar. She took a swiss army knife to threaten her, cutting her across the face. She may be the puppet of Avril, but according to maddie: she didn't need to agree to the malicious thing she asked of her. Later on it is revealed how Kristen got into the situations she was in with Avril and she is tentatively forgiven by Maddie.

Lizzie

Lizzie is the lesser of three evils, although she could definitely be seen as a complacent bystander to the verbal abuse. She has no ill will towards Maddie and even confides in her, but she is too used to Avril's tyrannical reign to be opposed to it outwardly.

Maggie

Maddie's UFOgirls replacement, paid to be boring to the masses as to not threaten Avril's queen status. It does not really work, Maggie makes the band's new album bomb. everyone wants Maddie back, not her fake dollar store replacement. Maddie is pretty indifferent about her, although she just thinks its stupid they cant even seem to replace her correctly.

Alia

Alia is an industry plant alien girl who falls into the path of Brad, as they are the same species of alien amoebas. Maddie does not care for her much but does not dislike her either. just boggles her mind that things with UFOgirls have spiraled so out of control since she left.
