Was always a clingy child because of his powers, the boundaries he saw always tempted him to push them. he's also the first brother to be sort of babysat by Viscon and thusly clung to him as well, and even though he thinks Vis fucked up by not listening to the family more and focusing on a job that he's just being *given*, he volunteered right away to be watching over Maia while Vis was being talked to. He didn't want to see the severing of the bonds, and besides he's a good pick for positions like that - his powers let him recognise what relations the subject has with pretty much anything, and what buttons should absolutely be pushed (and which ones to leave alone). he's probably got rag's family's facebooks pulled up somewhere in his open 50 tabs on the phone, just to keep an eye on her
