Description

Will was an individual of moderate temperament but strong morals, and while not outspoken or a natural leader, he was never afraid to speak up on his thoughts and opinions. Everything he did, he seemed to do with purpose. The friendships he forged were strong, and he was always quick to defend what he cared about.

Known Past

Will was born in a small Pokémon village, his parents both Flaaffys, and grew up with Isabella the Shinx. The two were practically inseparable, spending their days and nights together. However, one day, raiders invaded their poorly-defended encampment. Some inhabitants were killed, others kidnapped, and unfortunately, Isabella was among the latter. Fortunately, smoke caused by the destruction caught the attention of a group of travelers who rushed to the village's rescue. Some of the villains escaped arrest, and many of the residences were destroyed. Will's parents were both killed, but he and his sister, also a Flaaffy, survived the ordeal physically unharmed. Knowing he would be of no use with the reconstruction of the village and having a strong desire to find Isabella again, he left to search for her. A few years later, he met and became best friends with Terrence the Eevee.

During the Comic

Three years after meeting Terry, the two fluffy friends are attacked by a Magmortar named Brenton but are saved by Archie. Will then joins Ethan’s team mostly because Terry wanted to, but also because he sensed a wholesome quality in Ethan. During his unfortunately short time on the team, Will attempted to form bonds with the other teammates while looking out for Terry’s wellbeing. Thoughts of Isabella never left his mind as he continued to stay resolved to find her. At the Violet Gym battle, where the team reencountered Brenton, Will gave up his life to save Terry from one of Brenton’s attacks; in his last words, he asked Terry to never lose hope.

To avoid laceration, Will may opt to uplift more rounded rocks to launch. A strange energy surrounds these rocks for some reason.

Iron Defense

"The user hardens its body's surface like iron, sharply raising its Defense stat."
Will hardens his yellow wool to protect himself from physical blows more effectively than his fluff naturally cushions him.

Snore

"An attack that can be used only if the user is asleep. The harsh noise may also make the target flinch."
Will is really good at snoozin' while he fights.

I had completely forgotten that there was an Elite Four member named Will when I named this Mareep. Oddly enough, his in-game characteristic was “Strong willed.” Purely a coincidence, I swear
