BIO

Description

Ethan is a pretty young boy whose dreams of becoming a Pokémon trainer have recently come true, although unusual circumstances arrived the same day he chose his starter Pokémon. A naturally compassionate person, Ethan gives off a rather approachable aura, leading to much of his team trusting and respecting him. Like many new trainers, Ethan is rather carefree; he doesn’t quite understand the responsibilities that come with being a Pokémon Trainer yet, and this has gotten him in some hot water. Affected by and learning from his mistakes, his confidence in himself wavers at times, but he always has full confidence in his team. Although being flung into an unknown world gave him the task to solve a seemingly region-wise mystery, his goal is to become an Indigo League Champion, and he doesn't plan on letting anyone or anything get in his way!

Known Past

Ethan grew up his whole life in the peaceful settlement of New Bark Town. Ever since a young age, he yearned to become a Pokémon master, as many kids did. Wanting to learn as much as he could about the Pokémon of the world, he visited local Professor Elm many times, and the Pokémon professor gave him plenty to learn, eventually offering Ethan some opportunities at being an assistant. It took a while, but Ethan became eligible to register for the Johto Gym Challenge, which he did at the first opportunity with Professor Elm's help.

During the Comic

On the day he was to choose his starter Pokémon, Ethan woke up to a world where every Pokémon had seemingly changed. He would later find that none of the Pokémon and most of the humans were not aware that anything was odd. The Johto starters were no more; the three Pokémon at Elm's lab included a Bagon, Hera, who Ethan picked as his starter. After running one last errand for Elm, Ethan met a boy slightly older than him, Silver, who had also registered to become a gym challenger. They battled and became rivals, and both officially began their journeys.

On the road to Violet City, Ethan met and caught a Gorebyss, Archie; an Eevee, Terrence; and a Mareep, Will. After a life-threatening encounter with the first Apparition of his journey, Ethan challenged Falkner, whose Magmortar killed Will, leaving Ethan and his team's morale tattered. Although he lost some naivety, Ethan was convinced by his team not to lose hope and give up. Ethan encountered an Articuno, Sydaya, at the Ruins of Alph, who after testing him, joined his team and bestowed him with a Lunar Wing. In Union Cave, a Mawile, Thia, saved Ethan and his team from another dangerous Apparition, then joined his team. Ethan noticed Silver entering Azalea Well and followed, catching a Mudkip, Clyde, as well as running into Neo Team Rocket and one of their admins, Proton. Ethan and Silver defeated them and chased them out of the well. Now, Ethan nervously trains his team for the Azalea Gym Battle, not wanting a repeat of what happened at the Violet Gym.
