Strengths

His ego is stronger than his swordsman skills. He takes his own beauty to heart.

A clever, clever boy. Also a cheater. Revere knows how to talk his way through a problem... if he doesn't just kill it off in the first place.

Never forget the way he fights. Two handed swordsman and unpredictable when it comes to a duel.

If it's fashion, he's got it.

Flaws

It's guaranteed that you'll get into an argument with him because he's toxic.

Don't expect him to play fair. Its hard to trust him, neither he ever trusted you in the first place.

If you're traveling with him, the problems you will have will accumulate solely because of him. It's not because he has bad luck and he fucks up alot... it's because he literally does it on purpose.

Skills & Abilities

Rosenheim and Hildebrand Beau
Revere's two weapons. He takes care of them more than he takes care of his servants. Revere keeps his two rapiers by his side. He wields them underhanded (the blades are pointed under rather than above).

But the way he fights is as graceful as it is unpredictable; he's swift, quick, and sly with his moves. Some acrobatics may appear here and there if he wanted to show off, but otherwise he knows how to fend for himself.

Playing Fair...?
The way he makes deals are... you have an idea. Trusting him to do a favor is like making a deal with the devil. Anything you do for his benefit, will only backfire and a good chance that Revere will take this opportunity to backstab you.

Asks you to open the gate for you so he can infiltrate a house? He'll claim to give you the most promising rewards. Expect your neck to be sliced in the end those. Having a duel with him? He'll also definitely try to kill you before the duel commences.

He never plays fair.

Summary

Revere was born in a highly regarded and wealthy family within the city of Belvar. Each member had been highly praised with their skill in a profession that Revere couldn't even touch. With the exception of fencing, which Revere excelled the most since he was taught by the best fencer from their large city: his beloved grandfather. And hopefully, young Reverence would believe that he could continue that legacy. His grandfather adored him greatly when he returned from the war as a hero and the head of the whole Hildebrand family - so the riches that his grandfather earned was often spent on young Revere. However, as the youngest boy out of four siblings, Revere was more known for his explicit acts and scandalous behaviors when he grew older. The youngest Hildebrand used his mastery in swordsmanship to duel and fight for the things he's wanted in the city. However, it didn't stop Revere from becoming spoiled by his grandparents nonetheless.
He didn't care of his jealous older brothers and sisters that worked for their parents' and grandparents' attention - but only until his grandfather's passing affected him greatly.
His grandfather's title was the only reason why the whole family was left standing. Once his passing occurred, the rival houses harassed the Hildebrand family to no end and eventually their house falls due to a protest and a failing business caused by his eldest brother's corruption. Their mansion was left with no servants or workers, no guards to keep them protected, and the upperclassmen refused to give them any form of refuge. It gave bandits and thieves an open opportunity to lay any violent actions upon their family and Revere seemed to be the only one who could survive it all. A rival house had hired bandits to take care of the last of the family, and his uncle (being the last Hildebrand) allowed Revere to escape with the family heirloom. It was unsure whether or not any of his siblings or cousins had survived the whole.

After his escape, he took refuge in a neighboring inn and eventually ventured into several places with the last of his money. Otherwise his life turned from a spoiled rich man to a impoverished aristocrat, and then to a wandering duelist. He lived another few years dueling in order to survive and acquire the treasure to maintain any expenses and debts. Even dueling couldn't upkeep the things he wanted his life and the young man would end up resorting to charming men and women, hoping that one of them would admire his lavishing looks and then pamper him for a while before he would grow bored of them and leave.
Reverence believed that he was going to continue to do this for the rest of his life, until he found himself falling in love with a famous and handsome-jewelry maker. Not only he had been all over the man, but he became a fan of his works and the amount of attention Revere had worked for finally paid off when the older jewelry maker finally noticed him - and the amount of affection the duelist had given him had caused him to finally give in and take him as his lover. For once in his life Revere didn't care for all the riches his lover had buried him in as he was used to being spoiled by other wealthy aristocrats, whom now only constantly striving for the other's attention and his heart. Revere believed that he could finally settle down and start new after they bought a mansion surrounded by bushes and bushes of beautiful roses.
Another few years has passed and they lived together peacefully with his lover. Revere believed that he was safe since he escaped from his family home, but instead the rival houses discovered his existence and continued to track him down even years later. Even after several assassination attempts, Revere continues to survive but it was tradedwiththe sacrifice of his husband - who willingly protected him and allowed him to escape again.

Revere, once more, escaped yet again from the hateful rivalry houses that miles away from where he lived in, slowly growing with sadness and rage. Revere hides himself and becomes rouge, as well as changing his name from "Hildebrand" to "Beauregard" (the family name of his former lover). He used his husband's name to take advantage of the fortune he acquired and worked his way to even greater heights. But Reverence took a much different route instead of a more political path. He used his fortune in working with the blackmarket - where his power was growing until it was at a capacity for a given opportunity for revenge.
The duelist sent the rival houses to their deaths, as well as removing their family history from existence. Even after he had his sense of revenge, he continued to work through the blackmarket at ease until he grew bored.

He changes his name again to "Reverence Gaines Hildebrand Beaureguard" and now nicknamed "Revere" he withdraws from any form of underground work and continued to do what he can do best: Dueling. He even comes back to Belvar every once in a while to slowly work his way back up into the nobility once again.
Although, his form of dueling bores him now and he satisfies himself from stealing away the successes of anyone that he believes that they are better than him.

The Heroes of Belvar

Revere never expected himself to go back to Belvar, despite after being chased for so long by his long-term rivals. But once they were dead, he realized that there was no harm at all going back home; he could work up the nobility title once again in the city with the use of his husband's riches and the prizes he's "earned" throughout his years of dueling.

Perhaps it was because he wasn't much of a social star, neither a popular figure back then, but he has not recognized anyone once he came back to the city. While roaming around the city during the time of his original manor being built, he stumbled upon a threat that could have potentially destroy the whole city. Even with the meddling tricks on his sleeves couldn't stop the dangers and harmed himself - hindering his fighting skills temporarily.

With a help of a kind butler of another infamous House that healed his injuries in the long run - who lived in the city all his life and is always kept up with the current events. Discovering that an eventual uprising that was soon to devour the city into flames. He didn't necessarily care one bit about the civil war, but it would be a waste if it the inner turmoil affected his potential home. Him and his newfound ally, Lucien work under the radar to fix the situation. From there he met Lucien's more eccentric friend, an Italian mercenary who saved both of their hides after being surrounded by these threatening soldiers that invaded the city. With his help Revere becomes perfectly capable of fighting once again, saving a few more individuals that joined their side (Jack and Algernon). The most importantly, all five of them were most capable fighters with the fury strong enough to fight against Belvar's biggest enemy.

Per usual, Revere always took the opportunity to betray and cheat himself into glory. Yet, his opportunity was an even better opportunity for his "allies" to help trick their enemy into an unexpected twist thanks to Reverence. Although a little upset that such plans didn't go his way - fame and glory still ensued. His popularity spread quite quickly after the five were happily basking in the limelight of the city. Even his notoriety helped him rebuild the home he missed dearly.
Yet after a year of living there, Revere grew tired of Belvar calling him a hero - annoyed by people's praise and adding onto the unneeded attention. Instead of committing crimes to ruin his good reputation - he left Belvar to become a wandering duelist until he became homesick once again.

From Duelist to Queen

Venturing among the lands winning riches and prizes, he believes that he'll continue his life as the greatest duelist in the world. Until one day, he stumbles in a drunken stupor, tripping over his heels because of his messy his footing down the road. He somehow ends up falling down, his lips touching a frog that had conveniently  been sitting there. This same frog transformed into a stupendously handsome male. allowing him to sweep him off his feet and take him to his kingdom where he now rules. Reverence couldn't be swayed by any man - but somehow this King was able to do so.

Revere swore that whole deal was just a dream. It was one of the greatest nights of his life. There was no way a frog could turn into a prince... or even a king - just like the petty little fairy-tales he was told when he was a child. Yet, he wakes up, finally becoming sober the next day. He awakened in a large bed, in the arms of a familiar green-haired gentleman. Now, Revere has a hard time trying to leave the city where King Balthazar rules - knowing that he'll probably continue to come after him and therefore drag him back to live with him.

As much as Beauregard wanted to be treated as a royal, especially becoming a kingdom's King or Queen, he felt like there was no kingdom that would think of him as a perfectly suit for their nation. He'd know that one day that his King would find a compatible partner, but Revere is now hesitant in letting his Frog King go. Revere denies the fact that he enjoys ruling with his "partner" but he refuses to let any other man or woman take his place. In fact, that it's possible he's tried to kill any potential companions that deemed "suitable" for Bal.

Relationships

Balthazar

[ His Beloved ]

After tumbling down in his heels and then kissing a frog, those unfortunate events turned into something unexpectedly... nice. He finds himself in this King's bed and officially became his lover, though completely dedicated to the relationship and more important: Revere.
Though Reverence finds it nice, having it for too long makes it quite exhausting. At some points Revere even tries to run away just so he can have his own time by himself. With King Balthazar at his side proves to give him an amazing life - but him constantly being there proves to be an annoyance. Reverence cannot do anything so freely like being in the depths of danger without Balthazar fixing such situations before the Duelist could end it.
But in the end he remained. Years later they even had a child somehow (something he can't necessarily explain to others) but he realized he can put his swords down (temporarily) to care for his only child.

Lucien

[ Friend...? ]

The damage control to this clever devil and the Butler that saved his life, though Revere constantly denies the fact. Lucien doesn't mind Revere being in the spotlight and leaving the butler out in the dust, but even Bastion is tired of his deviancy and tries his best to stop it from making the city more of a mess. The butler usually takes action before Reverence could do anything - hence finding him irritable and always has some temptation to kill him on the spot. However, the fact that Bastion saved his hide several times prevented him from killing another victim for a long time.
There are times where Beauregard could ever anger Lucien and whenever such cases happens, the duelist simply runs for his life.

If there was ever a time where people ask him if he ever had any friends... Lucien is the first thing comes into mind. He claims he doesn't have any friends, though but he respects Belvedere.

Hopper

[ Beloved Son ]

Revere has a child and he will gladly show Hopper off whenever he gets the opportunity. There may be some flaws regarding his character, but it's so odd for Reverence to show any affection to anyone. It only makes sense that it will be his child.
Especially at times when he's scared (which may be 90%) of the time, Revere feels like he's obligated to fend off whatever he fears - even if it's the most stupid things. He only hopes that Hopper will get over it.

Revere

[ Himself, literally ]

Who is the one person that Revere loves the most out of anything in the world? It's himself. What did you expect? He brings a mirror everywhere just to look at himself and constantly give himself the necessary compliments that he doesn't get from anyone. Even if he has someone, he doesn't have the satisfaction as getting a compliment from his own self being.

Azrael

[ Ally ]

Even if similar personalities of carelessness and free reign, Revere lothes Azrael's attitude and can't stand him trying to hear. Alezander's attempt of getting his way with him.
Even if he tried stabbing the poor man, the gentleman always has some way or surviving the predicament. This man simply cannot leave him alone at time whenever he's in Belvar! No matter what kind of danger Azrael is in, he manages to survive in the end - which irritated Revere no matter what!
They've worked together to save Belvar together along with Lucien and two other men that joined their team. If Azrael and Revere were paired together, the two of them would become the city's most liveliest and noisiest bunch. And clearly, Beauregard is always ready to strangle him to death if Azrael's flirtatious remarks took a step ahead of the usual.

When he saw him again during the annual balls at Anthea, he felt the urge to kill him until Azrael's new party was in the way of things.

Jack

[ Ally ]

Jack Worthing is a charming man, or at least that's what Revere could agree with. But he can't necessarily talk to him without his partner constantly glaring at him! Not only he's kind to him, but his skill with the blade is almost as good at Revere's.

After Belvar's inner turmoil, he seems to trust Jack with his tailoring abilities. Of course, he'll find Algernon with him and the whole time Worthing is working on his clothes, he'll be debating with Moncrieff for hours. Nowadays, since he's moved, he hasn't seen Jack at all.

Algernon

[ Rival ]

Whatever Revere says, Algernon will most likely be the first one to say anything against him. Reverence wholeheartedly believes that this man is jealous that he doesn't look at good at himself, but in realistically Algy just hates his personality and is rather blunt regarding his honesty. It's like Moncrieff wanted to argue with him all day; what's the benefit of that?

He's even worse when Revere is anywhere close to his partner, Jack.
