"Avery, you're still so young. Kids might think different, but you're a growing boy, you know. You're not sick, trust me. Now drink your milk, and I'll take you to bed."
- Father
Avery was born from two hardworking parents. Most especially, his father - a proud scientist and his biggest role model at the time. Despite he was born prematurely and was considered 'frail and weak' by his peers and other parents, he still was a happy, pampered child who loved his parents.
However, the peace in the household didn't last that long. As Avery got older, the time spent with his father was less. Despite that he didn't mean anything bad by it at first, there was a point where his father would almost never be home. Everytime he did come home, it was only for a short while. Regardless, he listened to his fathers words and continued to become obedient and a well-behaved child... hoping that his dad would come home sooner.
But it came from a day, to several days, to weeks, and even sometimes a whole month. But after the third and fourth month, he grew concerned.
His father disappeared off the face of the Earth and never came back.
"Avery. I want you to come home early from practice today, alright? We're going to have dinner with Richard tonight! I reserved a beautiful restaurant!"
- Mother
After his father was considered 'MISSING' for the past two, three years... his mother grew tired of waiting and often seeks company from other men. And more likely she would be out and about during the evening, leaving Avery with a hired nanny to take care of him until he was in his teenage years.
And every time his mother came home, it was almost always a different man. Sometimes he would anticipate and watch how far the relationship would go between the new man and his parent. But every new man that she brings home, the variations of 'dad' or 'father' came to a point where he was confident that he never had a father in the first place.
But he was a dedicated child and remained a good, quiet child. Nothing else really remained a problem aside from the strain in the relationship between him and his mother. And every time they thought they were short on money, they were helped by a mysterious patron. Avery eventually didn't pay no mind to it... not until after his mother passed away due to health complications. He was only in his second year in highschool when this occurred.
The guardian who was taking care of him was the last man who married his mother, who went by Richard Sandoval. He paid little to no mind of his existence, but rarely did he think of his as a father in the first place. However, Sandoval was a kind older man who had no child to call his own. And despite Avery had very much the financial support from a mysterious patron, Sandoval was a close figure that Roselo got along with and often sought him for support or a parental representation in school or in other legal cases.
But Sandoval was older than he typically was and also died due to health complications. It wasn't until Richard's death that he realized that he was the closest person that he could call a father. After his death, Avery decided to legally change his last name to Sandoval.
"Kids are pretty contagious, y'know? They're definitely rascals, but their happiness are like a disease. If they're happy, you'll just end up smiling along with them. It's crazy, isn't it?"
- ???
And since elementary, Avery was a gifted child. He was talented at first and then a physically gifted as well as he grew older. Him being a star athlete in highschool granted him more opportunities when he reached college but... Avery didn't seem to be so enthusiastic when people suggested that he'd take up sports professionally as his career. In fact, he spent most of his years in college aimlessly taking classes until he discovered what he wanted.
He wanted to teach. Children, more specifically.
After graduating, he spent his young adult life being a teacher of all grades. But as experience came and how popular and enthusiastic he was among the staff members, he was given an opportunity to become a principal of a small elementary school.
- Avery was born with wealthy parents. His dad was a successful scientist but he disappeared one day with no notice.
- His mother often came home with different men and she married and divorced many of them before she passed away from her poor health.
- His mother's last husband was the one who took care of him during his highschool years before he also passed away from health complications.
- Avery changed his last name from Roselo to Sandoval, which the name belonged to the last husband that his mother married - and the one man that could closely resemble a father.
- Went to college and became a teacher for a several years. Then he became a principal.
