Weehaw it's my birthday today, yay. I may not be super active on here today as I'm planning on doing a lot (as if I'm typically super duper active pffft), but y'know! Fun stuff nonetheless!

So! July is coming up, yay! In July almost every year (except for last year because,, y'know,,) there are open class exhibits/contests open. Every year, I always work super hard to produce an art piece and a story to enter into the fine arts category. While I wasn't able to participate last year, I am absolutely ready to get into it this year! I'm so hyped up aaaa. And, as per usual with these July workloads, I will be sharing the story and art here! I guess the story is the more expansive part to it, but y'know haha. 

Thing is, I'm honestly not super sure of what story or world to focus on! I have a few main ones that I'm particularly interested in, and I thought I would see what you guys would be most interested in me working on first? 

Do keep in mind, this is NOT going to be set in stone. Even if something is the popular choice, if I don't feel like I can work on it for any reason, then I'll choose something else. I'll let you guys know and announce what's going to happen, but still haha.

The Butterfly Effect (Working Title)

The story of Lailah Evermore, an Oracle once held captive in the town of Veridis. All her life, she has only known the temple that she calls home. However, when infamous pirate Shepherd Brandt crashes into her world, she goes on an adventure that will show her the true meaning of the world. Joined by the loyal knight Atlas Lambert, the sweet maid Fiora Lambert, the snarky princess Ciel Skycroft, and more, Lailah will find her place and step into her independence once and for all.

This is my fantasy pick for the possible choices! My love for these guys will never be satiated and uh I adore them with my entire being. Lailah is easily one of my favorite designs ever, not going to lie. Honestly, all of these characters have really been favorite designs of mine to come up with. I think they look great, and I love their personalities and how they get along with one another. They're just,, they're just good, okay?? I have the basic plot events all lined out already, so it would theoretically be easy enough to write it? I say that as if getting into the nitty-gritty and the details won't be super challenging, but you know haha. Still! This one would be a big ol' passion project in my favorite kind of fantasy niche!

Ignited

Kero was, in her "past life," an infamous arsonist. After a literal brush with Death themself, she has come back to make up for her previous actions. Now donning scars and a candle in her eye, she has one goal in mind: find her sister and right the wrongs that she had done. Or... something like that.

An oldie but a goodie! This is my "modern day" pick for the possible choices! In concept, I kinda imagine it going down like a road trip story with some extra elements to it. Lots of humor, just the characters having a good time with some crazy hijinks. I have to flesh out the ideas more and really get the plot rolling more, but I've also been missing these characters so I'm very much wanting to get into it all again haha. It would take a lot of development through the rest of June before I start writing, but y'know! It's an option!

The Just Ones

Set in a futuristic universe where the cosmos has been dominated by the rich, famous, and successful. The planet of Neo Opportunus (Working name) has become a place where the biggest, most ambitious people go to truly cement themselves in history. It's also a place full of lies, deceit, treachery, and injustice.

Morrigan Okoyo, son of a late CEO that fell victim to said injustice, is sick of it all. He wants the space that the rich have inhabited to become just and equal for all. And, more importantly, he wants revenge against the family that stole everything away from him and his father. With the help of Ichiro, the Earth-dwelling hacker; Ambrosi, the ruthless fashionista; and Claudia, the youngest daughter of the family he hates, he plans to make sure that justice is truly served in the immoral world...

No matter what it takes.

Bahaha I just stole the description in their folder that I meant to write more of for my other stories but just completely gave up on. Still! These guys! I love these guys! Almost all of them are on horrible planes of morality, but that makes them fun to work with! So, this is one of my two sci-fi choices on the list. I have a lot of the themes, setting, and characters developed hardcore, but not many plot details. Thus, I would need to flesh that out more should I choose this one. I do want to say though, this one is likely the darkest choice on the list. The plot is driven by very dark themes, and it's going to be an emotional rollercoaster. If you feel up for that, then this one is for you haha.

Vanish

Ellie Price has it all. She's the daughter of wealthy CEO Jack Price, lives on his luxury ship known as The Odyssey, and is held as beloved by the handful of people who know her. Despite this, however, she can't help wanting what she doesn't have: the freedom to explore beyond the walls of the ship. When a sudden opportunity opens, Ellie races toward it and finds herself wrapped up in the adventure she has always dreamed of: a treasure hunt guided by the map in her cybernetic eye.

Anyways, her aside haha. Vanish is the second sci-fi pick on the list, and the one that I have more plot thought out for between the two! I still don't have a bunch (just the beginning chunk and the very end), but it's still a lot! I also have the characters down pat (and would be able to write about best girl Sibyl haha), which would make my job a lot easier. And the settings that I know will be included have a lot of fleshing out going on as well! Especially Hedora, I have spent waaaaaaay too much time mentally fleshing out Sibyl's home planet because I love her that much haha. Honestly, I'm kinda slowly realizing that I should maybe have Sibyl be the main protagonist somehow, but that would kinda mess with every plot idea I have for the story haha. It kinda hinges on Ellie being the main focus as of now. I can always do a Sibyl short story of course (which is an option for any of these worlds!! If you have a character you particularly fancy then let me know and I could do a short story for them instead!!), but still. This one would be fun to write! I'd have a good time with it, since I really cherish all of these characters!

Hey, everyone! I'm in a major fantasy mood still, my kiddos Lailah and Shepherd are fueling my fantasy addiction something fierce hahaha. While I'll probably be making more fantasy kiddos of my own eventually, I figured I would offer to make some for other people too! Just because that's fun!

In particular, I'll likely do simple refs with a fullbody, a weapon/combat description (if desired, otherwise I may replace it with other little details if your character isn't a fighter), a color palette, and a basic info box at the top (I can leave this blank and let you fill it in for yourself if you like!!) These likely will NOT be FCFS! I'll work on the ideas that I find the most engaging/inspiring (unless I don't get many, then I may do them all haha, but I'm not promising anything yet.) I'm on my last full week of school and second-to-last week of school in general so I'm somewhat busy, but I'll try my best to do some work! If I get some tonight I'll probably try and work on them hehe. I'm particularly interested in working with human(oid) fantasy designs in particular, so please keep this in mind? If you have an idea for anything that doesn't fit this general genre/species then that's fine! But do know that I'm most inspired for this type of design, so I'll have a higher priority there! I'm also TOTALLY down to do duos! I tend to make a lot of characters, especially of the fantasy type, in pairs first, then add other characters that interact with them at a later time! (I tend to give my pairs very noticeable contrast, so y'know!)

Design-wise, I'd especially LOVE to make some fantasy kiddos!! I'm on a huge fantasy kick right now to say the least, haha. Plus, I find that I have the most fun with fantasy designs? I don't know, something about them is just so freeing. A close second to this is sci-fi designs. Something about these two genres is just very epic. So... Yeah! If you'd want a fantasy design, then I'd be happy to oblige! Or if you want any other kind of design then that's fine too haha.

Weehaw, I'm in a state of creative burnout due to an overload of ideas. I love that, haha. As such, I'm going to try and streamline my new ideas a bit and see what you guys would be interested in seeing me work on first!

Long story short, I have new character ideas that are bouncing around in my head (even though I have plenty of characters haha, my mind is never satisfied ghdakfl.) Well... I say "new," like one of them is based off of old notes that I had once but want to revisit. But otherwise they're all new. I want to throw out a poll to see what concept interests you guys most! I'll also outline some semi-vague notes for my concepts here in this bulletin, so read before you vote so you have context!! Also, if you want to chat with me about any of these concepts further, PLEASE hit me up?? I want to talk about them and flesh them out haha. As far as the concepts go...

Actual Fursona for Once

• Strawberry-themed red panda (because uhhhh I'm a nut for that aesthetic, and I think I could pull it off?)
• I have a color scheme down 100% and I kinda can visualize the markings and general design and such but uhhh... Idk haha
• Round glasses because I'm finally gonna have those in real life and I love the aesthetic of them haha

• Probably my most solid idea design-wise; personality-wise I also have a bit haha
• Sci-fi/fantasy look probably?? Idk which moreso, I got inspired to get into fantasy stuff again by Pyra and Mythra's inclusion in Smash (Even though I've NEVER played Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I just love their designs. Especially Mythra's?? For some reason, she kinda reminds me of Milla from Tales of Xillia, just like sliiightly, but enough that it gets me thinking about talking over the Tales games with my girlfriend, which then gets me all inspired in fantasy stuff, and... I'm getting off track, haha)
• Assassin/contracted killer (most likely)
• Likely has albinism (I think it would work best with the design that I have in mind)
• Color palette is very simple (white, black, pink, and blue; maybe a bit of silver for accents)
• Mostly dark clothes but with some iridescent white bits with a pink and blue shine (boots for sure, probably belts too?? I'm planning haha)
• Kinda revealing clothes? (I have this like... Jacket thing in mind with a big collar they can hide their mouth behind that leaves the front very open?? Then like X-shaped coverings on their chest, some shorts of some kind, belts/boots, maybe stockings of some kind?? It's hard to describe but I have a very solid idea)
• Pink and blue makeup (I have ideas)
• Something to do with guns?? I like the idea of either a sniper scythe or like... Some sort of magic system that allows them to switch between tons of guns at will? Like they got a sniper rifle, dual pistols, shotgun, etc.
• Very quiet and reserved personality; probably a selective mute, idk haha
• Not necessarily a cold personality, but they can be ruthless when they want to be

• Based off of old notes that I had years ago for who was supposed to be an old vent character. She will no longer be that, haha.
• Basically just pink, white, and red edge fuel because I have no shame haha
• Probably updated in concept to be more fitting to my general aesthetic niche (So probably make her fit in a sci-fi setting or something haha, idk)
• Probably, like... A badass, not gonna lie haha

• Very flexible, like contortionist levels
• Looks incredibly elegant and almost ethereal; can probably beat you in a fight any day

• Has haemolacria and sort of hanahaki-like reactions to bad/stressful situations
• Has a white snake tattoo that covers her arm, shoulder, part of her torso, and neck (and possible a part of her face, idk haha)
• Really loves snakes, like a TON
• Probably has corset piercings because I say so haha
• Has more of a reddish-pink mist inside her than actual blood (though she can be drawn with blood depending on the mood haha); she can breathe it out whenever she pleases (and often does so through those long cigarette holders to mimic smoking); it smells like a mix of roses and cherries and tastes reminiscent of... Well, amaretto, haha. I know this is slightly dumb but I'll fight you haha.
• Probably has some sort of position in the criminal world?? Idk yet haha

• Came up with the idea for them thanks to a prompt in my creative writing class, haha
• Huge con artist
• Conned through a ton of the huge-name gangs before reaching the big leagues and getting very rich and powerful
• Sucked into their vices (Mainly drinking, smoking, gambling, and hookups)
• Thrillseeker; they're constantly looking to up the ante in their life
• Probably gets found eventually and has to go into hiding, idk
• Maybe connected to Amaretto in some way?? Idk, my brain went zoom when I thought of that haha.

• Basically zero design ideas, but some vague little ideas for personality/story stuff haha. I want to play around with interesting antagonist ideas okay??
• Probably a scientist or doctor of some kind (Maybe like a neuroscientist or psychiatrist but idk for absolutely certain)
• Has like supervillain level resources probably (fight me hehe)
• Actually a really good person, or at least they used to be; they were just led down a very bad path
• Comes off as being very kind, approachable, and nurturing (even when doing super immoral stuff)
• Forgiving to all, even their enemies
• Really hard to get upset, even when things aren't going their way
• Truly kindhearted, just incredibly misled
• Doesn't really seem to have a bad bone in their body until someone really gets to know them
• Believes that they're the hero, even though they're not; they think that they're doing good and bettering society when they very much aren't
• Probably has some ultimate goal that's easy to sympathize/agree with, but still morally corrupt enough to warrant backlash (I kinda have ideas where they're very into this idea of morality and justice, and their ultimate goal is to create a utopia where everyone is morally pure and just, but they go about achieving this in very unjust ways. Idk if I'll do this for sure, it's just a thought! I find the concept of morality to be really interesting, and especially the idea of like... Finding a way to somehow manipulate a person's morality to a point where they can justify specific concepts and become "perfect" in certain roles because of it? I used to have old story ideas entirely based around that, and part of me almost wants to bring it back here because that'd be cool)
• Does really horrible things, but they believe it's all for the greater good
• Able to justify like... Literally EVERYTHING to themself.
• Pities those who try to go against them
• Probably able to be reasoned with, it just takes time

Anyways! My brain has been in massive sci-fi mode, but I've been having a very tricky time motivating myself to draw anything as of late. I'm not sure what's up, I think I may just be going through a bit of a slump. Maybe I should try taking an art trade or two to see if drawing for other people perks me up.
