So! I'm kinda in the mood to do art/design trades, if any of you would be down for that! I don't really know which I'd prefer to do, but y'know! I'm down for either! Hey hello, everyone! So, I'm really uncertain about this, and honestly there is a VERY big chance that I won't trade this kiddo yet. But at the same time, I might as well try just to see if anyone else sparks my creativity more.

Hey, everyone! I'm kinda in a predicament with my creative work as of now? 

I want to draw my characters really badly, but I'm having some art block-esque issues as of late. It could just be stress or burnout of some kind since school starts for me on the 26th (granted, I'll be online but y'know). But I'm having trouble getting interesting ideas and/or executing them in satisfying ways. And I could write/headcanon about them, since I DO have ideas, but for some reason I get discouraged trying to write them? And I kinda wonder if role-playing would be able to jumpstart my creativity again! So... Here I am!

I'd prefer to RP on Discord, but we can do it here if you'd rather! Really any of my characters are open for it, but I'd especially like to use Tox, or anyone else in my Crowns and Stories folders/subfolders. I'm honestly up for whatever plot-wise, so hit me up if you're interested! 

Hey! I'm kinda wanting to clean out some characters that I no longer use from this account, so... I'm gonna have a ton open for offers!

First, I have my actual trade tag, everyone in there I'm gonna let go of easy.

Then, there's these folders here, here, and here. 

The first folder is also pretty easy, ask about whoever and I'll likely trade haha. The only one off-limits is Isano since I'm not allowed to trade/sell her. The second is basically the same, I'm a bit more tentative but y'know.
The third folder I'm a bit more iffy on! A lot of the designs in there by me are old story characters. I don't know if I'll ever return to their stories as they're just that old, but I still DEEPLY care for them nonetheless. They were some of my most-used characters for years, so I don't feel comfy trading them. I'll likely put them in the Retired folder at some point tbh! Therefore, they're off-limits. These include AquaNova, Aya, Calista, Ember, Evangeline, Faine, Hope, Lycoris, Mitsuki, Vesper, and Zach. Hollow and Rain are VERY tentative, as I still have a lot of ideas for them and they're still special to me. Everyone else you can ask about as you please!

Then, I have my CS folders. They are kind of on a case-by-case basis? I don't really use a lot of them, but some I'm still VERY attached to. Those include Ashley and Viola, I likely will NOT trade them. I also don't think I'm allowed to trade/sell Kairos? I'm not 100%, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I am also highly tentative on my Lockettes, Kadri, Suzume, and Katrin. I probably won't trade them either, but if an offer catches my eye I may consider for sure! Otherwise, offer away!

I also have an assortment of characters I'm willing to part with that are in various folders, so I'll link them here! They include Havoc, Mickie, Juniper, Melody, Paris, and MAYBE Pierrot with the right offer. Though I'm stupidly tentative, sorry! I should mention, for Havoc I'm primarily after Star-Stickers SWAPS, but if I like an offer enough I'll forgo it haha.

First and foremost, art! I am TOTALLY up to accept art if you want to offer it! The character(s) I choose for you to draw may differ depending on your style/what character I think would look good where. However, above all, I'm ESPECIALLY looking for art of this idiot sparkle noodle right here, and especially alongside their boyfriend Mercy! (Not linked here but y'know, they're in some art together and such haha, and I can link his ref over if you're down). But again, it may differ. 

I'm also cool with accepting characters in trade that I'll use more than the ones I have now! Designers don't really matter, but I do LOVE designs by Star-Stickers, Mysthetic, CityKings, Oncha, DVCKEE, Kneesocks, etc. Granted, I'm not expecting to get offers of any, especially on those last few hAHA, but still! gjfghrijfirjhfiaw okay hello all, sorry for weird bulletin but like?? I'm active here, it's character-related in some way, and I kinda wanna share with whoever may be interested so uh here have this tiny bulletin.

SO I discovered BeepBox! And me, being a 7-year, going on 8-year, band kid with little to no grasp on actual music theory (Aside from "This sounds good, do this"), decided to do a thing!

It's small, just an itty-bitty thing as of now that's probably slightly flawed in some parts (Which I may fix just bear with me haha). But I mean... I dunno! It's cute! I may flesh it out a tad more, add more verses, maybe a chorus that doesn't just loop back to the start immediately, who knows!

I guess I kinda had in mind, like... A sorta bossa nova-esque thing? Something that my dumb ferret bastard Tox would vibe to and have playing in their funeral parlor. Since it's cabana-themed and all, I thought it'd fit! Who wouldn't love some tropical beats while they try to tackle their grief and avoid an existential crisis?? Like, I don't know about any of you, but having this little loop going in the background as I type this fills me with indescribable amounts of joy haha. 

I also used instruments that I think mesh well with Tox's personality, while also fitting with the genre. Which, I may change some of these around as I continue working, we'll see how it goes? But especially the vibraphone. For some reason, I associate Tox VERY heavily with marimbas/vibraphones. Something about their tones just strikes me as fitting to them. And saxophones, even if the sax sample they have in BeepBox is... nOT the best haha. But same thing, something about the sound of it just gives me massive Tox vibes and uh I love it. Steel drums (or steel pan, whatever it's called in the program I erifhewoifjao) just fit the mood of the piece, but also Tox theoretically so like?? Whoo. The harp has no place, it just,, it just sounded like a good bass. I tried to make a maraca or shaker sound custom and I think it worked out! I actually really like the beat, it works a lot. And the bass just feels so nostalgic haha for some reason.

Anywho! No clue why I'm posting this bulletin, I'll probably just end up deleting it in like five minutes because I'm embarrassed about sharing a tiny loop that I think is cute but like shhhh. I'm not a professional okay,, leave me be,,

Hey!! So, I'm kinda unsure of this, but I think I've finally gotten out of the art block I've been in for a hot minute haha. So I wanna draw things. I have a few pieces I may work on digitally first, but aside from that I'd love to do a design or art trade!!

Exactly as the title reads! I have a new sona that I need to name, and have two options! Help me choose!

Warning: I go on a big ol' nerdy tangent here about a certain boyo of mine. If that isn't your thing then you can skip hehe. I copied this off of a forum thread I originally typed it out from, since I think it sums up his importance to me really well. Without further ado...

Oh man, let's go, I wanna shower this lad in all the attention right now. I realized a bit late that technicallyyyy today was my one-year anniversary of having this lad: https://toyhou.se/3730869.-lowell-carson- And because it's late and I won't be able to get a special piece done of him tonight, I'll write about him instead. So I'm gonna blab about him a bunch hehe.

Lowe is, without a doubt, my most special, personal, and favorite character. He means the world to me, and I connect to him on such a deep level, it's crazy. He's the protagonist of basically the only story I've ever fully written out from beginning to end, Abyssinia. And, while I have to edit it and such, he'll likely be the protagonist of the first story I publish. And oh boy, let me tell you, this lad always brings the biggest, silliest grin to my face to write about and draw. He's got a special sort of charm unlike any other kiddo of mine, which is saying something.

I don't really know why he's so special to me. It could be his design. I absolutely love his looks, that's for certain. I have my boofie to thank for that aspect of him. He was designed for me as a custom because I was having a major design block and desperately wanted him on paper so I didn't lose inspiration for him. Needless to say, my visualization was PERFECTLY translated into reality. From top to bottom, Lowe's design instantly captures my happiness.

Or, he could be special because of his story. This man has a VERY long story to him with lots of edits and changes. See, originally, Abyssinia was going to be a LOT different. In the first basic ideas, the protagonist was going to be a hitwoman by the name of Vegas, who was tasked to kill the leader of this city floating in the middle of the ocean. I... Kinda lost a lot of inspiration for this initial concept, so it faded into obscurity. However, one day I dug up the notes by chance, and the sparks started flying. I don't know exactly how the idea of Lowe himself came to be, and how Vegas became him. Nevertheless, he was born. He actually shares a few similarities with her, mainly through their shared fear of water and inability to swim. The plot also began similarly enough, with Lowe going to this floating city of New Cascadia. That, however, is where the similarities end.

From the get-go, Abyssinia felt iconic to me, in a sense. During the initial drafting, I was able to plan out the ENTIRE plot, from beginning to end. Typically I'm not able to piece a story together flow-wise so well, but for some reason here it all came together. There were some changes I made, mainly to the ending and a few side characters. But I was OBSESSED with the story. I was making notes in school notebooks left and right. I wrote up a cohesive timeline of not only the events in the story, but the entire history of the creation of New Cascadia as a city in lore. I was brainstorming CONSTANTLY. And eventually, I finally sat down to write it. I became so attached to the tale, to Lowe as a character, that I was broken down in tears while writing the ending. It meant the world to me, it still does. It meant enough that I created an entire school project dedicated to the story, one which I treasure deeply.

I think the attachment may be because of Lowe as a character, like personality-wise. It's not often that I feel like I've successfully made a character feel "real." But with Lowe, I felt it hard. I got into "his" head in a sense, obsessed over accurately pinpointing every possible reaction, quirk, and unique characteristic he could possibly exhibit. I got to know him as if he was sitting right in front of me. He starts out flawed, and for good reason. Life was rough for him to start, he was dogged down by problem after problem. And yet, they never felt unrealistic, nor did his reaction. He becomes a jaded man through his past traumas, and holds a flawed ideology of "every man for himself." He's stuck in a crappy situation with a crappy job and family, and he's not a "good guy." However, as he endures the struggles that New Cascadia brings him in Abyssinia, he develops in a natural way. He sees the errors of his ways, and desires to atone for his wrongs. By the end, he's left with closure to his arc, he's become a hero once and for all. His progression is impactful, it's powerful, it's REAL. And that's not to mention his secondary, interconnected arcs about understanding self-sacrifice and learning how people change people! I put months worth of work into perfecting him for his story, of making sure he'd be a lovable protagonist that people can really connect with.

Which reminds me: The work. Oh my God, I put SO much time, effort, and work into him. I've probably put more work into him than any of my other characters. From fleshing him out to examining his developmental paths to getting the right feel for him, it was all a huge process. And it was a process that was well worth it, I think. It brought me closer to my boy, helped me love him even more.

I should probably wrap things up now, this is a lot hehe. But... Yeah. Lowe is the most special character I've ever had the pleasure of creating/owning, by far.

Happy one year to Lowe. Now to look forward to the eventual one year anniversary of Abyssinia in its entirety!!
