"I won't lie to your face and say I don't feel a certain type of way about you picking up shifts at the Porodise Lounge but I get it; we all owe somebody some sort of favor. You're a smart guy, Ray. You more than deserve to be seen by the whole world cause you're one hell of a star. Just don't forget about us down here in Zaun, kay? You know we're always here if you need anything. Also! If that damn tiger lays a single finger on you... just let me know. I'll put a couple bullets in him to teach him a lesson."
"Magno's great! I love working at the Golden Poro, but... I don't understand the beef with her and Aldaun but I'd rather stay out of it, I'm just here to DJ, make friends and make drinks! I just hope she's not mad about me taking shifts at the Porodise Lounge"
"So, what kinda treasures you guardin'? Gold? Ancient relics? Art?... Why are you lookin' at me like that-"
Bata raised his blade, a snort escaping his nostrils. It seemed like Korune had one chance to turn around and leave. “Come any closer and I’ll tear your fins off. Mark my words.”
"Lookin' at you again always makes me wish I'd gotten out sooner, wasted all those years being a prisoner, but now I'm just... I'm just happy to be here with you. I promise I won't let 'em take me away again. In the meantime, I think we still have some catching up to do, big guy" Faaron's very loud complaints were ignored, he deserved to spend as much time as he wanted with his partner.
"Keroth? It has been some time. It almost baffles me that you still journey all the way out here every so often for something so trivial. Ha, but do not twist my words. I do appreciate your visits." Upon hearing the strange demon's voice, Bata's eyes narrowed. He spoke to it."I can do without a word from this one though."
If Korune regretted anything, it was leaving her behind. "I can go wherever I want, they don't own the docks... or you. It ain't too late to turn around and start anew" He knew she wouldn't listen, but it didn't hurt to try.
“What are you doing here?” Maz’s eye twitched at the sight of him. It was hard not to feel left behind, especially with his successes outside of the Shellbacks. There was bitterness in her voice, and perhaps, some melancholy “Go away. You’re not one of us anymore, so LEAVE.”
"Definitely not one I've seen before but.... heh, I'll consider givin' you a discount if you let me pet that cute lil' critter of yours, how does that sound?" Korune felt a bitter taste in his mouth after saying that cursed word, but it'd be worth it!
"Dhaval, I don't care what you have to say... I'm buying a necklace from this guy, he looks trustworthy." The cobra groans in protest and reminds her of her funds. "Anjali! You don't have enough to buy anything!" She smacks him lightly with two fingers and rolls her eyes. "Shut up! We're buying a fucking necklace."
Keroth looked at the duo "Is that....?" Faaron had the same thought "𝘏𝘢𝘩, 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘶𝘰 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴"
"This guy looks like he gives good hugs. Do you think he's huggable, Dhaval?" The demon scoffs and stares at her with his beady eyes. "Do you take me for a constrictor? I am so clearly a viper, my dear Anjali." She scoffs and tilts the demon's head to look at the dragon-like duo. "Just shut up and look at him!"
"Not that I know of! But I haven't even tried doin' any dragon stuff now that you mention it..."
“Wow, you're one big guy. You sure you aren’t some sea dragon I’ve never heard of?”
"Can't say I'm interested in buyin' anythin', but I accept donations!" He let out a hearty laugh "Do you uh... want like, a ride on my shoulders or somethin'? I guess I can charge you for a few minutes"
"Oh. Oh, goodness. Goodness gracious, even." Cyran nearly choked on his own spit at the sight of this...large and delicious creature. He sauntered over toward the huge Vastaya's stand and looked at his wares; but not just the ones on the counter... "You are...a sight. Tell me, darling... Do you like jewlery? Or perhaps carrying smaller, beautiful men like me?"
"We're not the same captives we were all those years ago, it's only a matter of time until you get what you deserve"
Cyran was appreciative of the man’s form as he studied him, but there was something rather off-putting, not to mention familiar, about him. Then, something clicked. “Ah… I think I know who you are…and I’m certain you know who I am. Make no mistake, I’m not as weak as I appear. You may know that first hand.”
"Two souls living in one body... it sounds almost romantic if not for the threat of losing control of oneself. I feel sympathy for this one. If I can assist their cause, I will do what I can."
“There’s something almost… comforting about her, I can’t say I mind bein’ around her”
"Ah Keroth, he's definitely more than just a customer to me, he's more like the brother I never had. I know I'm in for a good time whenever I find him while I travel. Maybe I should introduce him to Zako! I bet the three of us could have a lot of fun"
"Oh this guy! He's bigger than me and strong as hell, and still he'd rather work on his shop and stuff, he's also a damn good drinking partner. Whenever we find each other we do a few rounds of sparring, and then we go out for some shots! 's our tradition"
"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭. 𝘏𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳... 𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘥. 𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘺𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘮"
There was something strange about this one, Korune could tell. For now though... he'd play it safe "There's a new face! You lookin' for anythin' specific? Jewelry perhaps? You look like someone who... appreciates the finer things, eh?"
"This one is of great intrigue... He has the appearance of a simple merchant but I sense there is more to him than just that. Perhaps I should ask of his story..." She directs her entourage through the busy streets of Bilgewater while keeping her eyes on Korune, deeply curious as to what he will do next.
“I think you’re before my time here…but the walls do listen and the birds do sing. I know who you were and what became of you. I would find it wise to hang back away from me. I’ll do the same for you.”
"You're the least of our priorities, but I'm not opposed to beatin' the shit out of you in case I need a new punching bag."
Zako felt a chill when this one addressed her, but she kept her demeanor. How did this one know of the Black Rose? It was true, she did not know of every past experiment, but this must have been one of them. “Your threats are noted, but leave me undisturbed. I cannot promise another mere passing should we find each other again with words like those…”
"What happened to the Tiliqua was a tragedy. Knowing one of the few remaining ones is workin' for them is... " Keroth's thought trailed off as Faaron spoke for him "𝘈𝘩, 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘱𝘢𝘸𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘰𝘴𝘦, 𝘥𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘴. 𝘕𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘶𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭"
"Hm... trading? Yeah alright, a friend of Momas is a friend of mine, show me what ya got!"
“You have a shop too, yes-yes? And what a good-good variety of wares. Uncle Momas has spoken of you before, oh yes-yes. Would you be interested in trading good-goods?”
"Always appreciate this one keepin' the peace around the docks, makes Morris and his crew look like even more of a joke. I keep tryin' to show everyone how cute he is but he just won't budge! Charm ain't something to be underestimated, trust me, I'd know"
"A good friend! I keep an eye on him and his patrons when I get the chance. I do wonder if he's only nice to me and let's me help keep guard because he wants me to buy something sometimes."
"Worry not about Morris, I know all of his tricks, he's more of an "all-talk-fail-miserably" kind of guy. I'll do my best to deal with him when necessary, yeah?"
He calls out one last time towards her as she leaves "Also consider buyin' something next time you show up!"
"Well, if it isn't my favorite merchant in all of Bilgewater! How is business? Do not answer that question, I don't actually care. We must come together to make a plan to get rid of that Morris character. I do not like his slime polluting our precious seas." She gives him a sinister smile and walks away, her hips swaying side to side as she walks to the edge of the pier, diving into the sea and disappearing into the deep, blue depths.
"I don't know whether to be turned on or scared, maybe both?" He laughed "If you want a spar, I'll give it to ya! I warn ya though, you're not the only one with sharp teeth here"
"Don't you look big and juicy? And your scent, so much like the salt of the sea. Might be a thrill to hunt someone nearly my size. What do you say, fishy? Let me get a chomp in!"
"Hm.... you drive a hard bargain, lady. But you'd be right, I'm... not much for earrings or necklaces, you may take a look. If anything catches your eye, you may take it... in exchange for any unwanted treasure of yours, of course"
“I hear you have quite the stash, my friend. What will it take to convince you for a peek? Surely you have some lovely earrings or necklaces you don’t mind parting with… Right?”
"Ah, I have quite the amount of tales of my hoard! But where to begin... perhaps the story behind this cursed amulet! Oh-! Or maybe this magical ring I looted! Or even the scrolls I've acquired during my travels! Or..." If no one interrupted them, the dragonborn would continue their tales for the next few hours, at the very least.
“I hear that you have a fine collection of treasure that you have accumulated over your adventure. No worries, I have no plans of infiltrating your hoard and taking anything — I am just so curious about the adventures behind each piece! Surely you have some very rare items with wild stories behind them. I would humbly request to hear some if you would have me.”
"I've heard the rumors about you licking a spider and I'd respectfully like you to stay away from both myself and my sisters down in the Underdark. I'm sure you're lovely but I've got not a single interest in being licked by a dragon, whether I'm dead or alive. I shudder just thinking about it."
"It was one time! Well, two but- it was a spider carcass! Agh- I promise I won't lick you... in exchange for treasure? I jest. Unless....?"
"Taro, I've got this artifact in my possession that I need your help to open. I could do it myself if I intended to get electrocuted to death, so I'm sure you understand why I need your help. If you help me, I'll let you keep the relic AFTER I've examined it."
"Hah, you got yourself a deal! Now, what kind of relic is this? Ooh, I'm already getting excited just thinking about it!"
"I have a mountain of trinkets waiting for you to pick through, all I ask for in return is one of your precious scales. You need not know what it is for but know that it will be put to good use."
"The way you said that was kind of suspicious... but I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I get into a nasty battle! Or, whenever I shed a scale. Can I see those trinkets of yours?"
"You have a kind heart... when you eventually pass on, I will be there to greet you and we will be friends for eternity..."
"Thanks...? As long as there's people I can help, I don't intend on passing any time soon... how about we become friends now?"
