Lorin's papa of sorts, whom he loves to laugh with, wrestle with, and play with. Aaron is the more free-wheeling parent so Lorin knows who to go to for playtime, but he also loves listening to his papa play music or catch snatches of his singing. He can feel his embarrassment about such things, and Lorin wishes he wouldn't feel that way. To him, there is nobody else in the world like his dad.
Aaron adores Lorin dearly, and the fact that they are not biologically related makes no nevermind to him. However, Aaron also worries that he is not ready to be parent, and sometimes wonders if he is not stern enough with Lorin to play the parental role. He has a lot of baggage about his own readiness and about his past, but the moment they get together, all is forgotten and they are two peas in a pod.
Diana has made it her goal in life to subtly, quietly, treat Cadi like the angelic princess she is. Needless to say she loves this girl from every gorgeous curly hair to every freckle on her cute face. One day, she hopes they can be good enough friends that one day she'll feel comfortable to let Diana in a little bit.
Rah was been drawn to Cadi since they first met, initially with an on-sight crush that sent him sprawling, and then continuing on with a friendly and encouraging curiosity and affection upon further friendship and bonding. He maintains that she's one of the most lovely, physically and in personality, people he's met.
He's made it his quiet goals to show her the clumsy, nerdy side of Diana at every opportunity to help her feel more comfortable around her and to covertly complement her at every chance.
Since he met Cadi, Pobear has thought of her as an Angel. (not like Sam angel, more like literal personification of light and beauty) She is one of the few people he gets a touch shy with, though only because he wants to impress her at every opportunity.
Kaipo is one of Lorin's favorite playmates. His flexible energy works well with the leshy's and Lorin is in awe of Kaipo's artistic talents.
HoNEY COUSIN. Kaipo loves rolling around and having fun with Lorin. Loves sharing his honey and fruit jerky with the little Leshy.
Truly his closest and most treasured mentor, Uriel served as Samael's tutor and older sister figure for most of his time in Heaven. She was also his fiercest advocate leading up to his banishment. Undoubtedly the Chief Angel he connected with best, he is endlessly grateful they have still managed to maintain a strong bond to this day. The times she can spare to visit are highly anticipated, and where Samael gets most of his updates of the goings on across the Firmament.
To say Gabe's track record with relationships has been less than stellar is an understatement. It was never high on his priority list but there was a time he was ready to give up on the idea all together. His bond with Cadi was far from instantaneous; it took work, patience, and an unspoken dedication that was well worth the wait. Gabe is ready to spend the rest of his life with this girl and that is something he never thought he would say.
She never thought she'd find somebody who meets her in her mess, and yet here she is, and she never wants to leave.
Lilith is perhaps the most important human to Samael throughout his entire six thousand year existence - but she is also something of a sore point. They spent almost half of their lives together after she gained immortality and he was ousted from Heaven, simply spanning the globe and changing with the pass of centuries. They were at once guardian and charge, dear friends, and even lovers for a time. Samael still cares deeply for Lilith but since she aligned with Hell's hierarchy they have not had any chance of extended contact and things are painfully complicated. He misses her, but can't be sure that she misses him.
To say that Samael and Lilith's relationship is complicated is putting it lightly. He was the first to stand by her side when she sought freedom from Adam's dominance, and is the first person she has ever felt love towards. It did not sate her growing contempt for humanity and how they treated her, but it made his decision to stay behind all the more painful for her. She spent many years waxing and waning between love and hate for Samael once she descended to Hell and took her place as the Queen of Lust, but she found herself missing him fiercely as time went on. She takes whatever news she can get of him and holds it close, but does not pursue asking further to protect herself and to hold onto the anger that has kept her afloat for so long in Hell. Their reunion in the 1940s, however, has changed that feeling of anger to something else - something more comfortable and familiar, and therefore all the more dangerous.
