"I hadn't a clue about his existence until not too long ago. He understand manners but apparently doesn't practice them unless I'm present... there is a lot of work to do."
Status: Impromptu babysitter.
"Ah, Keren! One of the lights in my life that shine the brightest! The beautifully talented man who stole my heart! I shall protect you, my love!"
Auguste has had a crush on Keren since he met him the day his parents hired him as the Royal Healer, very rapidly becoming just Auguste's personal healer and adviser. His crush was soon discovered by Keren, who then used it as an excuse to fluster and flirt with Auguste, the latter always made weak by Keren's actions, no matter how big or small a gesture. They soon officially became a part of a relationship, a feat Auguste never even imagined possible given all of Keren's options, much less for it to happen with the two people he crushed on the most.
Keren still loves to tease and fluster Auguste to no end even now, but he's thankful the teasing never goes too far though, thankful that Keren knows his limits and won't cross them, unlike other people Auguste has known. He would do anything for Keren, and won't stand for anyone who might threaten or make his love uncomfortable. It doesn't matter that Keren can more than take care of himself even against some of the worst foes to ever face the kingdom, Auguste will not hesitate to stand up against anything that may threaten Keren, even if he may not stand a chance against it himself, which is an often occurrence. He loves cooking for both his boyfriends, and loves making Keren unicorn cupcakes and buns and rolls shaped like bears or kittens.
"Ha! Don't worry about him! He just pretends to be grumpy, but he's a big ol' teddy bear who gives the best hugs!! I've never been so happy as I have been after meeting him!!"
Horace clung to Rosewood from their very first meeting, having been pranking people on the street who deserved it and getting caught and scolded by Rosewood, finally finding a father figure that seemed to care about him, and eventually gets completely adopted by the guy, who's extremely weak for Horace.
Firstly worried that a cranky, grumpy, battle hardened and overpowered demon slayer would be quick to judge him, Horace still kept his distance from Rosewood at first, despite desperately wanting someone to care about him then the way Rosewood does now. He quickly discovered that Rosewood was honest in how he claimed he judges people, and the supernatural, based on their individual actions, not on prejudice, and quickly realized that Rosewood was willing to protect him from both other demons and demon slayers alike.
Nowadays, he won't hesitate to take over Rosewood's bed when he's had a bad dream or just needs a cuddle (which is fairly often, mind you), and is secretly extremely relieved and thankful that Rosewood doesn't mind and let's Horace be what he should've been able to be a long time ago.
A kid.
Despite claiming to not be good with kids, Rosewood is an amazing father to Horace, taking care of him and more and never failing to cheer him up when he's sad or hurting. Every little thing he does for Horace doesn't go unnoticed, and Horace has never felt more happy or more loved than he has living with Rosewood.
"I ain't your dad."
"Well he went from hating me to just pretending to hate me pretty quick! Haha, just kidding. I don't think he could ever hate me, just the fact that I'm a demon. I love goofing off with him and annoying Rosey-posey with him, and he gives some pretty good cuddles."
Horace has always looked up to Leander (often quite literally, the latter being slightly taller and constantly clad in pumped shoes), which probably isn't the best idea given Leander in general. Nonetheless the cat guy's confidence in most situations, pure stupidity, and humor has always been something Horace finds comforting, for unknown reasons that pertain to his past life.
One day, after Horace was brutally exorcised, sent back to Hell at the feet of his past assailants, and rescued by Rosewood and others who went to retrieve him, Leander couldn't get through to him with their normal means of communication (sending memes back and forth). He went looking for him and spent hours on the other side of a door comforting the kid and even calling him by name rather than a nickname, Horace feeling extremely grateful for and loved by Leander's actions given the latter's own fears and trauma.
Afterward they started texting and calling more directly, working up until they could actually hang out without something between them for Leander's comfort. They became a pretty unstoppable force of stress for Rosewood, and care about each other quite a bit. Later on Horace, oblivious before, discovered Leander was dating his now-official dad, much to his confusion, and his dad's laughter.
"Aww it's Dart!!! My bestest buddy Frogger!! Lemme give him a big hug!"
Connor is extremely fond of Dart, which is to speak lightly. He really loves the guy and would do anything for him, from knitting him a frog toy a week after he met him (though it would have been sooner if his dang cotton hadn't tangled), to panicked trying to help him escape a spongemop and just making it worse in the process. Plus, they're the same height, Connor finally doesn't have to crane his neck to beam at a friend, and Dart can teach him to swim. Or, at least help him get away with the illusion.
Mix Connor and Dart together and you have a recipe for a special brand of chaos. Also known as "Neither of us know what we're doing, but we're doing it very well."
He isn't too keen on Dart's little robberies, and always forces him to put his pickpockets back if Dart doesn't have a better excuse to get himself off the hook with Connor.
All and all, they're pretty good buddies.
"Oh deary me, Miss... Please do be careful!!!"
Cirque loves Valentine more than to the moon and back, and would do literally anything for her, from keeping the small Aridian out of harms way no matter what, to doing everything he can to bring a smile to her face on her rainy days. It's no secret the two are nearly inseparable, Cirque constantly following on her tiny heels to make sure she doesn't get herself hurt, to Valentine coming to every single one of his performances no matter how big or small.
"Come on, Sir! Let's go mend some broken hearts!!"
Valentine loves Cirque (lovingly called 'Sir' for short) more than anything, which is truly saying something coming from an Aridian who's practically a god of love herself. She fully realizes everything he does for her, even if it takes her a little while to realize from how naive she can be.
She loves to jump up at Sir and hug him like no tomorrow, whether he seems blue (pun intended), or if she just wants to show him some good old affection!
