While he is hesitant to say it in front of others, Anaïs is all but the light of Seif’s life. He was there when she was born, and he cried when Euphemia asked him to be Anaïs godfather. Like the rest of the family, Seif would lay down his own life for her at the drop of a hat. He’s often found himself tutoring her and teaching her things other children take years to learn. In a way, he sees her as his own daughter...
Aside from Sladecosa, Phia hates Sonaitus more than pretty much anyone. It is no secret that Sonaitus plans to challenge Phia's rule eventually, and Phia has made many plans to prevent this from happening. In the past the two have fought physically and it has not ended well for either of them. Alongside Xeluneth, Phia has endured many venomous words from the dark duo. Despite her hatred however, she does wish to try and unite the 7 of them, and if that means making peace with her most hated enemies, so be it.
Although Phia does not get along with most of her fellow Nightmare Lords, she truly cannot really define her relationship with Incognious, mostly due to the fact the massive dark lobster man rarely ever speaks and tends to not have a strong opinion on anything that goes on in the Nightmare realm. However she does appreciate his indifference somewhat, as he tends to listen to what she tells him to do.
Along with Sonnet, the duo were joined by Selah, the Grand Magistrix's daughter. Selah and Subriden could have been considered friends, but they bickered so often it was hard to tell. Subriden originally disliked her for her status as the Magistrix's daughter, thinking she would be just as pompous and arrogant as the rest of the council. Fortunately this was not the case. During the siege of their planet, Selah was also separated from Sonnet and Subriden, but instead she was dragged into the safety of the capital city of Sellegua, which doubled as a ship. She currently lives with secret unrequited feelings for Subriden, and is optimistic about the fact he still exists out there somewhere.
Subridens feelings toward Marc are very confusing and complex. When Subriden does not understand something he makes it his goal to pull it apart until he does. Unfortunately, no matter how much he’s tried, he cannot fully understand how Marc operates or what compels him to be so incredibly stupid. Thusly, Subriden dislikes him due to the fact he has truly stumped him by simply existing. Despite this, he enjoys the constant adrenaline rush that comes with quarreling with the stupid metal man, and since a challenge is hard for Subriden to come by, he continues to perpetuate their rivalry.
Man fuck this guy
Subriden’s feelings on his Father are very complicated, and he doesn’t like to talk about them. He holds a grudge against him for things he could not control. Subriden also knows this, but he is stubborn and needs to put the blame on someone for his life to make sense to him. While Sernus tried his best and was kind, he was rarely around, and he could not protect him in the end. Subriden harbors feelings of being unwanted by his parents because of this. Subriden currently assumes he is dead ( he’s not), and thus tries not to think too hard about it
Sernus harbors great guilt over his son. He feels like he has failed as a father, seeing as he could not protect or help Subriden when he was needed most. He was blind to a lot of the troubles Subriden experienced as a child, which is partly his fault and partly Subriden’s, considering he never said anything about any of the bullying or embarrassment that happened to him. Despite this, Sernus blames himself entirely. His sadness has engulfed him in current years, but he has never given up hope that Subriden is still alive.
Fuchsia is Subriden's favorite pet tentacle beast. Found shortly after escaping the Concord mind prison, it quickly took a liking to him as he was the first being to show him kindness in years. Fuchsia now lives in an enormous tank that runs throughout Subriden's entire ship, and protects against potential intruders that seek to steal or harm. If one were to hurt Fuchsia, Subriden would hunt them down to the ends of the world to see them killed.
AnDr0s:, otherwise known by Subriden as “Andy”, is his closest companion. She’s been around physically since he was a child, even if she didn’t gain full sentience until later on. He considers her practically an extension of his will, as she knows exactly how Subriden operates. He would trust her with his life, a rare thing for Subriden, which is shown when he willingly injects incredibly tiny nanite servers into his bloodstream, allowing her to monitor his vitals or even stop his heart if she wanted to.
Anri is Subriden's literal celebrity crush. He's a big fan of her music and has a giant fullbody poster of her in his room... they're also occasional bed mates :^) Anri is also one of the only people that knows his true identity.
Eric Leon is, by Subriden's standards, the only human he can tolerate for more than 10 minutes at a time. The two don't always get along, but they also have many interest and hobbies in common. Forced to work together due to extreme circumstances, their relationship starts off as rocky and strained. However, over time, Subriden comes to care for this human equivalent of a golden retriever (to his dismay). While Subriden finds Eric's massive amount of "morals" and "decency" obnoxious, in the end he can't deny the positive influence he's had on him.
Like most of the nightmare lords, Entrophia's relationship with Libidine is strained at best, although at first glance it may seem more like bickering friends due to Libidine's extremely lax nature about pretty much everything. Phia regards him mostly as an idiot, but is also disgusted immensely by his licentious tendencies and especially by all the weird snuff films he collects. She wont admit it, but there's a part of her that fears that the concepts and love and affection are all supposed to be as how Libidine portrays them. Because of this she is weirded out by physical affection.
Phantasmagoria and Entrophia's relationship is possibly one of the weirder ones out there. Entrophia is immensely annoyed by his strict regulation of dreams and nightmares and seemingly random encyclopedic knowledge of the inter-dreamscape laws, but doesn't quite hate him as much as she does others. Unless he tries to interfere with her goals of course. His spontaneous personality confuses her often, thus tries to remove him from her presence as quick as possible. She found out long ago she can't simply kill him, so flinging feathers at his skull is the next best thing.
Subridens first real..well..everything came from Schism. He was his mentor and closest friend for many years. Subriden feels immense guilt over everything that he's done to Schism, and has faked his death to avoid facing him for a long time. Despite all his guilt, and how much he tries to forget, he still harbors immense feelings for his former mentor. He would not be as successful as he is if it weren’t for Schism.
