The bat's eyes widened with excitement. "Yes! Ooo, perhaps I could also learn about the stars from you! Sounds illuminating, does it?"
"You deliver readings on people's futures as well...? We must discuss our methods. I feel there's some illuminating information for both of us."
Touched by the unexpected kindness of Zepp's words, Vanzant's spirits lift, feeling a newfound determination to rise above his past mistakes. "Thank you, Vastayan. I really needed that. It's Zepp, right? Hey, when I see you again, you teach me to play and I teach you how to do this." He flourished his fans, nothing too fancy, but just enough.
"Fans?? Sick as hell weapon dude!! As for your whole ordeal, I say fuck em. Who cares what they think of you? All that matters is what you do now. Keep on being you and soon enough you'll find the right people who value you as a badass."
Vanzant was visibly frustrated. "A-and where do you suggest I go, Yev?"
"You are trying much too hard to redeem yourself in the eyes of people that would have no issue in using you as fodder. You would be wiser to look out for yourself and leave Noxus instead. You have no idea what can become of you if you try too hard to please these people."
Vanzant smirked, playfully. It's not often he comes across someone with a common interest! "It's not the fans, but the hands that hold them," He flared his golden blades before taking a battle stance. He loved to spar, and is always willing to learn. "Shall we?"
"Interesting fan work! It certainly gets the job done but there's not much refinement to it. I could show you a thing or two if you'd allow me to, Vanzant. My fans aren't just for show, you know!"
“So what if you’re dishonorable?! Who cares?! If you’re so desperate for a purpose, work for me then! You work for me and I won’t kill you. It’s a win-win!”
"Vanzant is a good man. I just question what is going through his head, being so loyal to Noxus and all. Is it indoctrination or his true feelings? Only time will tell, I suppose."
"Seeing the future certainly would've helped me a few years ago... There is nothing that can be done about it now though. Be careful, that is a power most would kill to have. You must keep yourself safe, especially in Noxus of all places."
Who was this woman? He had been hearing these same words from a few parties but something about her stuck out. "W-wait! Please!"
There was no reason for her to stop and converse with this fellow, and yet.. "Vanzant, correct? You have lost much but your life is far from over. This is not the end and you still have your chances. Do not feel as though you have to commit yourself to the standards and whims of people who would not have your best interest in mind. It is hard, but you will live, and you will find your way." Without another word she started back on her way.
"Aren't you...precocious. And, It's...quite alright. Thank you. I enjoy your positive outlook on life..I need what you're having."
"Oh wow. Did they Achilles dip you in blue paint? Love it buddy! Oh and sorry to hear about the trauma, that sucks."
"This is...how do you say. My, 'bestie', yes? Very eccentric. they are. Enjoy them because they are unpredictable, a welcome change from always seeing the future. She supports my decision to dabble in 'jokes''. Like to hear one, would you? Okay. Afraid of 7, why was 6?"
"He's so funny! Whenever he starts doing his comedy routine, trust, I will be there, and I will be FRONT ROW!!!!" They stand and think for a moment. "I wonder if he knows why the sky is blue."
"Ahem. I'm going to keep my deeply naughty and personal thoughts on him to myself. Just let it be known... I'd lick the blood off his fans for him if he asked."
"Oh, now that's rich. Your hide would look outstanding on my mantel."
"Don't you have another house to betray? Carry on then, and don't bother me any longer"
Under usual circumstances, the unbreakable will of Noxus would have been enough to fully ignore such provacations, but as of late, Vanzant has not been his usual self. "You...you pontificate on things you don't understand!" He was firm, but an air of indecision laced his tone.
“So, so much taken from you, dear boy. How unfair this mortal coil is to those undeserving of its cruelty. The pain of the past does not need to remain on your conscience; nor in your soul. There is a solution. Listen to the sweet melodies of undeath… You will find your solace. Come here, dear boy. We have much to show you.”
"Your clan may have turned it's back on you, but you have potential... yes, I believe you'd fit right in with my lord's army"
"Your 'lord' has twisted your virtues beyond recognition," Despite his defensive tone, and aggressive body language, Vanzant's iron will seemed shaky. Was he perhaps intrigued at the offer? An offer that could rewrite his shamenul narrative as one of power, and strength? "What could he possibly offer me?"
"Another brooding Noxian man. Always so judgmental of Zaunites. A man like you needs to learn how to ease up a bit and learn to get loose and wild. Don't blame all of us for the fuckery that Piltovans placed us in."
He frowned. He didn't like to hear it. He didn't like being generalized with the other Noxians. He didn't like being reminded of his betraya. He loves his home, but it still stung. He didn't like to hear it, but she was right. "Then please, don't blame me for what has been taught to me all my life. Teach me how to "get loose and wild" as you put it. I...could really use it."
"Yer a mighty fine fighter... I'm not the most versed on Noxian culture and politics, but I can't imagine the life you live now is easy. I don't know if I'd go as far as you do when dealing with enemies though."
"Noxus is a difficult location to grow up in, he was chewed up by the very beast he served. A very poetic beginning to his story. Hopefully he can grow beyond the walls of his empire."
