Will or has flustered him some February.
Will or has been flustered by her on some February (or any other month).
Astra is Alecto's twin sister, she has been the only one he could rely on, ever. Despite all attempts to pit them against each other, they only clung tighter.
Alecto has Astra's back in all things. Whatever she decides, he will support her. He knows she'll do the same for him. His trust in her is absolute. He is less likely to seek bloody revenge on her behalf then she is to seek on his. He knows she'll take her own revenge and expect him to take part if she wants. He's happy to spectate or assist, whatever she wants. That is not to say that if someone has been harming her he will not take the perfect opportunity if he sees it just lying around.
Alecto has not particularly put their relationship into any specific terms. But if someone threatened him with silver... wait that's already happened. He probably lied in that case to give them advantage later. But for the purposes of knowing his character, she is his twin soul and it is like they are one person in two bodies. Any harm that comes to her, is harm also to himself.
Alecto is Astra's twin brother. She is just as dependent on him as he is on her. She would back up anything he said (or secretly felt) about their relationship. Just as she knows he would back up her.
She is the type to take bloody revenge for any slight that Alecto could not brush off. She'll never doubt Alecto's ability to do anything he sets his heart or mind on. They are very on the same page to how they feel for each other.
She is the slightly more analytical, and scheming of the two, but doesn't think she is "taking care" of her sibling. They are partners in crime, and a sincerely united front.
Hisashi considers Lars to be a baby vampire, and stands by his habit of "not my business" in regards to reeling him in. He's generally nice to him, finding amusement in some of his shenanigans and frustration in others.
He's as surprised as everyone else when Lars' comment hurts his feelings. He tries to remind himself that Lars is essentially a child when it comes to vampirism but there's still hurt feelings. He almost decides to keep a tiny, baby sized grudge over it and considers getting some tiny revenge on him down the line, but before he can decide there's the arrival of blackmail, and he lets it go completely.
Now he's fine with Lars avoiding him. He's tucked that blackmail away safely so no one will find it. He doesn't have any use for it right now, nor the will to use it against Lars for the foreseeable future. But he also can't bring himself to destroy such a gift from Sati.
Lars likely tries to avoid Hisashi when he can, as his previous social interactions with him have been... less than successful. His current grudge makes him wish Verona would buzz around the blood-selling vampire a little less, but he wouldn't dare tell her why.
Yuenu is Hisashi's maker. She swept him off his feet as much as he swept her. However Yuenu came into the relationship with certain expectations and in the end they were both disappointed and hurt. Hisashi has tried to hold a good grudge, but she is genuinely apologetic and has learned her lesson.
Through her efforts he is slowly forgiving her, but also relying on her to teach him the way of immortality. She's someone with whom he has a hard time staying angry. Affection and resentment go hand in hand for him in regards to her. She'll wear him down eventually.
Yuenu has a great affection for who Hisashi turned out to be. She didn't turn him for himself and has since learned the lesson. Nevertheless she takes her responsibilities as his maker seriously and has come to be proud of her choice for who he is and will become.
Hisashi comes from a large close knit human family. This gives him a large amount of respect for Cesare and the way the siblings have stuck together. He also appreciates someone who's willing to trot out their sense of humor while also having an agile mind.
Hisashi was raised to be cautious and avoidant of major vampire culture. Sati is an old vampire and Hisashi cannot completely fathom his motivations. Even though he's in a phase where he's been dipping into the culture curiously Hisashi remembers Yuenu's warnings and has a healthy wariness and respect of Sati especially because Sati is much older and more powerful and could make his life completely miserable or kill him easily.
Emery finds Hisashi very appealing in many ways, so he actively pursues him. There's no hint whether or not he has ulterior motives, but he certainly is persistent! It seems as if Hisashi's ready acceptance of his advances just fuels Emery even more, which is unfortunate as Hisashi seems to want the opposite reaction.
Hisashi was raised to be cautious and avoidant of major vampire culture. Emery is what Hisashi thinks of when he's reminded of Yuenu's teachings. Even though he's in a phase where he's been dipping into the culture curiously Hisashi remembers Yuenu's warnings and is wary of Emery.
He's also aware Emery is much older and more powerful and could make his life completely miserable or kill him easily. So he's careful in how he handles Emery's interest. He's likely to give in and hope Emery gets it out of his system (as long as he's not going to interfere with work/business) and he can go back to NOT being on any old vampire's radar.
SHE WANTS TO PLAY. PLEASE PLAY, HANDSOME BOY.
Hisashi seems immune to Verona's flirty wiles, which frustrates her to no end; it takes almost no effort for him to turn the tables on her, reducing her to an flustered mess. Luckily, Verona enjoys a challenge, especially when it's centered around playing games with a good looking boy. She enjoys the game, but is old enough to understand the social dynamics and where she stands among vampire peers; she is careful to keep some distance depending on the crowd. She has no desire to tarnish his reputation right out of the gate.
Also wants to play! Buckle up Pretty Girl.
Hisashi is less immune to Verona's wiles then she thinks he is. He's infinitely charmed by her playful and flirty nature. He enjoys the game of being charming and extra in order to bring out her embarrassed mess side. He thinks it's really really cute.
He's wary of feelings right now due to history with Yuenu, but he's a bit too charming for his own good and at heart a big romantic. As long as they're having fun though, he's going to keep flirting and playing with his fantastic (and pretty!!!!) new friend crush.
Ming is very fond of Yuenu, which is high praise as she doesn't feel that way about a lot of people at any given time. They have ages of stories to tell and a lot of similar experiences and interests; any time she gets to spend with her, is time well spent. Ming hasn't got the patience to front her personality for others, and feels seen by Yuenu without the misconception that she's frigid.
Despite the differences the different dynasties brought, Yuenu feels like she and Ming have some common ground. That's not where the commonalities end either. Both have an interest in martial arts. Yuenu thinks Ming is rather elegant and lovely and enjoys her company quite a bit. She allows herself to fall back into her more traditional femininity and manner around Ming because she both doesn't have to emphasize her human qualities, and because Ming just gets it. It's part of a social language that she feels Ming understands and speaks fluently.
Verona enjoys spending time with Yuenu, who she finds to be refreshingly kind in comparison to a lot of vampires she knows. She often confides in (complains to) her about Hisashi and his flirting, albeit playfully. She will probably be mortified about that later, when she inevitably learns that the two have history.
Yuenu has a lot of sympathy for Emery's progeny. She's been around for a long time and is no stranger to the many ways that relationship can be both beneficial and toxic.
She views Verona as cute and charming young thing that has what it takes to face immortality for a long time. It's a matter of surviving her maker and the trials. Time with Verona shopping or partying or anything really reminds her of her time with humans, only Verona also understands the vampire side of her life.
Yuenu loves hearing Verona complain about how charming Hisashi is. She both relates, because he's unfair, and is proud because he's a good vampire and she knew he would be. She is playfully teasing about their relationship, but if she sees Verona getting in too deep she would do her best to make sure that Hisashi behaved and either felt the same way or lightened up.
Helena sees Hollis as something like a super cool hippie aunt, or maybe a fairy godmother? What she's sure of is that Hollis seems super confident and empowered, which earns her admiration. Helena loves getting to learn from her on the few occasions it happens; what she teaches is a lot different from what Deacon does.
Hollis grew up with a single mother and as such does not have much in the way of family. She tends to be deeply affectionate for whatever friends she gains. Having a student is akin to almost having a daughter or a much younger sister for herself. Even if Helena is too old to be her real daughter.
She greatly enjoys supporting Helena's growth and explorations. She should know herself! She's worth knowing! Hollis has a lot of pride in Helena's learning and is thrilled to bits knowing she's contributing to her growing up.
Yuenu has a little age on Emery. She's not one to talk much about her specific age though. So who knows how old Emery thinks she is. She remembers him in a few phases of his life and has been introduced to his progeny as he makes them. Yuenu wishes he wasn't such a shitty maker sometimes because he has some great children. She usually lets him have all his grand vampire drama so she doesn't interfere for the most part, just visits. She is also careful of him, and has a healthy respect for his triggers.
She also is of the opinion that Baby needs a Nap. Make that 12 Naps. Yuenu hopes he does nap some of his bastard energy off and rediscovers some human qualities as that is what she believes leads and allows for longevity.
Hollis thinks Deacon is great. There's something magnetic to him, whether it's his grumpy attitude, intense social anxiety, impossible potion talents or the way she thinks he might actually be a small offended cat piloting his body around. She thinks he's very cute while also being an interesting disaster.
Ultimately she likes being around him and would be horrified to know that she intimidates him when she just wants to be an affectionate friend.
Deacon isn't exceptionally close with Hollis, but they're friendly and he knows she's very good at what she does. His effort to remain level-headed around her often lands him with a headache, but something about an intimidatingly competent and attractive woman as his contemporary makes him want to leave... well. A better impression than he leaves on most people, which isn't saying a lot, but it says he has some dignity.
Nish'a is his twin sister who he loves very much. He enjoys frolicking after her and being her sidekick in trouble. He frequently sports some bags under his eyes because the latest trouble kept them up late.
Probably never has met Emery, but if he did he would mentally grumble about Vampire Drama(tm) and excuse himself to the snack table.
Isendra's relationship with Connell grew in slow stages. She was initially exasperated by his chaotic, schoolboy style teasing, but eventually warmed and developed a very contrasting friendship with him. It was only after a long period of friendship and a close call with his morality that she realized she was deeply attached, despite all her efforts not to be.
No matter what her heart feels, she harbors reservations about her love for Connell; she deeply believes he should eventually move on and fall for someone who he can have a family and grow old with. It hurts her to think that he could potentially miss out on the things she finds most important in life, BECAUSE of her.
Connell likely met Isendra by doing a friend of a friend a favor. From that point on, they kept meeting and bickering, and meeting and bickering. Connell's not much here for vampire drama (despite the fact he could readily attest to her being a BABE) and took these feelings out with school boy teasing and bratty behavior. He toed the line till he suddenly he realized his life would be the lesser for not having her in it.
