Having tuned in to one of her radio shows on complete accident, it didn't take long for Hiroto to become HOOKED on Billie's energetic coverage of the moon races!! While he isn't too invested in the sport itself, her way of relaying the information is what keeps him coming back time and time again. Their brief meeting in one of the many malls of Alphea was quite the treat, too, as Hiro discovered that they get along quite well! He hopes to run into her more often in the near future.
Another Alphean that Clover considers part of their family and cares for deeply, Yoshirou is someone that the doctor can count on to ensure the bands' safety when they aren't around. However, when at the estate Clover does their best to relieve him of that duty so he can have some time to let his guard down, often ending up napping with both Yoshi and Kouta so long as there aren't any responsibilities to attend to. Otherwise, they happily make tea for them and allow them to spend time in their office, away from the main activities of the estate. They're a firm believer that *everyone* deserves a break from it from time to time.
Clover was a nice addition to the family in Yoshi's opinion. It is nice to feel a sense of normalcy around these areas. The boss also seems to be doing better than it was before- not that they have a chance to say it out loud, but Clover is a bit underappreciated in Li's eyes. Kouta always speaks fondly of them, it is nice to see him so excited about a family member. For once, maybe the Aoki finally starts feeling like a more regular family and not a bunch of misfits that don't play nice.
Victor met Clover through Hiroto and his constant injuries, but for some reason Vic didn't put 2 and 2 together and realize they were a doctor. Vic just thought Clover was a lovely grandma friend that gave them tips on their edibles recipes and always had lovely cups of tea.
Clover has been aware of Victor for a fair amount of time, seeing as Hiroto can never keep his mouth shut about some of his best buddies. Meeting him perhaps a year or so after initially being told of the guy, they quickly grew fond of him due to his shared care of the chaotic little lizard. They've happily shared some of their recipe secrets with him over the years, though they do still think it's funny that he only recently caught on that they happened to be a doctor. *Hiro's* doctor, specifically.
Clover had made a good impression on Emanuel from what he saw of them in chat. It was a pleasant surprise for him when they asked to visit! Emanuel always enjoys sharing others company and having people visit. He enjoys Clover's baked goods but likes talking with them even more. It's nice to find a fellow plant enjoyer and they've given him some very valuable advice throughout their time spent together.
Meeting Emanuel through the chats, Clover has grown close to the botanist over time. Happy to have a friend like him, she finds herself bringing more and more treats each time she visits so she can stay and chat for just a few more minutes. Their shared interest in plants is something they've been able to bond over nicely, as well as Clover's advice for some of the tougher situations that Emmy might have found himself in. Though there have been some rough moments for Emanuel, Clover admires that he still carries on. Should he stumble again, they'll be there to help him back up, and put one foot in front of the other once more. They hope, though, that their picnics in the reservoir far outnumber the bumps in the path ahead.
Surprisingly enough, Hiroto knew of Tatani before the chats! Nothing major, he never talked to him *personally,* but rather would leave comments on some of the videos Tatani would post of him attempting to do some sick tricks. Attempt being the keyword- Hiro always meant well with his posts, trying to give advice where he could in hopes that Tatani would be able to properly land the tricks someday.
Tatani always looks for Hiroto's comments on his amazingly awesome stunt videos he posts. The enthusiastic comments and helpful tips make Tatani's self esteem skyrocket as he thinks of them as proof that he is on his path to becoming a master of weaponry and fighting!! He thinks Hiro seems like a really cool dude and would love to chill with him one day!
To be fair, Nat was approached first by the doctor to request a visit up in her reservoir. Considering the amount of comfort they had for being up North, she'd love to have them over again- if not to trade food and stories.
Having been wanting to visit a reservoir for some time, Clover jumped at the chance to visit one located in their home region up North!! They greatly enjoyed the trip, as it was a much-needed break from the city and all that comes with it. While they would like to visit the reservoir and Nat again soon, work is keeping them quite busy, but they still wish to get to know the bear a bit better in the meantime.
Kouta is someone that Clover holds quite dear to them and is incredibly protective of. Not only because they personally understand the struggle of losing a mother fairly young, but because they've been around the Aoki family for many many MANY decades. Clover considers the young heir and their father family, and they're happy to be someone Kouta feels comfortable around.
After the passing of their mother, Clover has been a parental figure of sorts for Kouta, they are chill about them in the way where they will allow to be themselves around them. They are comfortable for the heir, especially because of how fluffy they are.
This is Hiroto's best friend. Kouta is who Hiro goes to with everything before anyone else. He will ALWAYS drop whatever it is he's doing to come see them if they call. Although there was a brief period where he worried they weren't as close as he'd thought previously, mainly due to being told he had a hand in the incident that took Kouta's mother from them, he's since come to terms with it all and understands that Kouta doesn't hold anything against him. While he doesn't understand why, he is still very grateful for the grace he's been given, and feels closer than ever to Kouta. He'll always be there to back them up, on or off the stage.
At first Kouta was very distant of this stranger that ended up in his house. Because of many factors in there, he was bound to stray away from even interacting at all. Thanks to Clove Kouta was able to form a strong friendship with Hiroto over the years, really getting over his grudge about the incident that took his mother away. Because of Factors, the heir is not good at expressing his feelings appropriately and accidentally comes across as stoic.
Yoshirou is somebody that Hiro enjoys spending time with. Like a lot. Whether it's gaming, talking about music, practicing said music, or something like wrestling if Hiroto's feeling brave, he always has fun when Yoshirou is around. Although Yoshi's right- Hiro can be quite dense in many aspects. There was quite the stretch of time where the lizard believed *he* was the scary one of the group...
They met because Yoshirou is the bodyguard that is in charge of Kouta. Thanks to their similar age they managed to bond properly as friends. Yoshirou is extremely unaware of Hirotos play in the loss of Mrs Aoki. So he holds no feelings about it. Though, he may describe the metalhead as a bit dense sometimes.
Clover was in the beginning stages of their career when they met Paxten, shadowing a more experienced specialist at the time that he obtained his scarring. While they weren't his primary doctor at first, they did eventually end up taking on that role. They have since continued to offer care and support for Pax, both with his scarring and mental health, as well as learning what they can from Pax's injuries to further their research in hopes to help more people. While they are his doctor first, they would still happily consider him a friend outside of their office.
Pax is extremely grateful for the work Dr. Raines does. They have seen him through the darkest days of his life. A time period of his that not many people have had the..pleasure..of seeing. He has so much respect for the doctor as well as their teacher. Dr. Raines helped Pax deal with both his physical and mental trauma caused by the Old IB incident. Pax was not very knowledgeable about eans or the potentials of ean scarring. When he found out that he could be of help in Dr. Raines research, he volunteered immediately. Anything to help reduce the number of people who may have to go through what he did.
Good luck getting these two to stop talking. With the both of them being chatterboxes, it's difficult to get a word in if they're in the middle of a conversation they're both excited about. Even worse if they're talking about the dogs- might as well just settle in for a while then.
Pan and Hiro met one day at Michelle’s place and immediately hit it off. These two share the same energy and feed off of each other in an endless loop. If these two are in the same room together you can bet that they’re busy chatting away about one thing or another. Often times they need to be intercepted to keep them from going on all night long.
These two met when Hiro dropped by Michelle's place one day while they were there! While he's not as buddy-buddy with Bruno as he is with Pandem, he's still comfortable around them and will happily sit and chat or perhaps play games if they were to ask. He's happy to chill with the twins whenever he's got a spare minute.
The twins met Hiro when he came over to Michelle’s place. Pan made quick friends with him, and as a result Bruno has befriended Hiro as well. Bruno is definitely not as close to Hiro as Pan is, but still enjoys hanging out and chatting with the two when they fall on a topic he shares interest in.
Clover has known Orochi for a long while now. Working for the family right out of their schooling, their care for the dragon quickly became apparent. Worried about his mental and physical well-being, they frequently check in with him to ensure all is well, which thankfully is easy to do when they live mainly at the estate. Being not only his doctor, but a concerned friend, they find themself recommending that Orochi retire from his position for his own good. Especially after he returned with yet another mechanical limb replacement.
Under the family Clover may be known as the "voice of reason" but the leader it is simply an old friend that cares too much and cannot see the bigger picture. He appreciates their presence but yet again keeps them at arms length for the sake of their safety. Probably one of the more innocent members of the family because the clan leader decided it to be so. As much as he respects Clovers opinion, if they only knew what was at stake on retirement, maybe they would understand a bit more.
Hiroto's pretty fond of Orochi! Hard not to be when he's one of the only people the little guy can remember without any trouble. While they may not interact super often, the times that they do are usually... A little chaotic. Mostly due to Hiro's never-ending energy and strange lack of fear regarding him. However he does feel incredibly guilty for what he caused, and since (re)discovering that has begun to tone it down. As off-the-walls energetic as he is, he does have a great amount of respect for Orochi. He just wishes he could convey that a bit better.
The kid is a special case within the family. Though he doesn't resent him for his actions anymore, Orochi is still distant emotionally to Hiroto. The kid is young and an easy target, therefore he simply tasks him to keep company of his only son. When Kouta is not around he allows Hiroto in his headquarters with the sole reason of keeping him safe from the gruesome aspects of the family. Theres a innocence in him that the rest of the family doesn't have. He wishes to keep that alive.
Ger'Ar has nothing but respect for Orochi at this rate. Meeting him at one of Juan's rotation parties and getting along 'swimmingly' with the other mafioso, he also found a bit more understanding with the dragon. Outside of business, he thinks the lead of the Aoki estate is rather enjoyable company, though he isn't sure how long that might last. At the very least, he can hope it will be a while still.
One more of Zhou's dogs. He has heard of the reef shark because of passing and maybe complaints from the professor. He went in wanting to hate the guy but couldn't bring himself to because of their similarities in life choices. Because of this he doesn't wish to bring down the hand of diamond upon him. Thankfully if he behaves well enough, the shark might even find a friend in him.
The Toussaint's have known Clover for a very long time, enough so that when AJ was first learning of Eans and their crazy ways, Clover was one of her personal tutors. They've kept semi-close ever since, AJ always calling them at a moments notice to gush and squee about old traces of history being dug up from the still ruined area's of the museum.
The doctor has known the historian for many, many years. Starting as a tutor for her Ean injuries section of schooling, they eventually became more akin to work friends. The situation with Hiroto was one that Clover wishes could have been resolved much sooner, but at least it was taken care of eventually, and those involved seem... Relatively unharmed. Now that she's back in the saddle though, Clover is doing their best to ensure something like that doesn't happen again. The occasional lunch and frequent history-gushing phone calls with Toussaint give them peace of mind that everything is going a-okay on her end.
While these two are chill now, Hiroto.. Definitely had some confusing and conflicting feelings about AJ for a little while. Some sort of miscommunication somewhere along the line mixed with Ean artifact bullshittery landed him in a roommate/partner situation with her. Since he never brought her to the Aoki estate, it took longer than it maybe should have for him to realize that she was under the influence of an artifact. It's all good now though! He got her out!! And now that he actually knows a little about her, he'd be happy to consider her a friend in the future.
AJ has few to no memory of her eight months with Hiroto, thinking that their whole interaction was over a few days. Still, she's incredibly appreciative of the lizard, after all, had it not been for him, she would never have gotten out of that fucking apron.
Ger'Ar doesn't have much to say about Victor, in all honesty. He's a bit firey, he supposes, but there isn't much outside of that.
Victor thinks Ger’Ar could be a useful ally and appreciates his candor in rough situations. He decided he’d lend a hand whenever Ger’Ar needs one.
Willow enjoyed teaching Clover greatly back in the day and watching her grow into a professional scientist. Now that they’re both older, she enjoys hanging out and drinking tea with Clover while talking about any scientific advancement under the Sun.
Clover adored being in Willow's classes while they were still in school, and have her to thank for their fondness of learning and teaching alike. They have great respect for Willow, and very much enjoy continuing to learn through their now casual chats.
Meeting decades ago while Clover was working as a tutor, Arata quickly grew on the doctor. They've done a lot, been through a lot together at this point. All across the board, from cracking jokes and laughing for hours to stern talks and breaking down, Clover has walked through the whole spectrum with the professor. And they're still as sure as ever that no time is wasted when they're with them. Whether it's work, or tea at a little hole in the wall cafe, they enjoy being around Harins. Though- they do still wish that they'd keep their spaces a wee bit more organized...
Hiro adores Clover. There's no word better for it. Clover taught Hiroto most if not ALL of what he knows now, and while he doesn't fully understand their constant concern for him, he greatly appreciates that they always seem to be keeping an eye out for him. However, now knowing why he and the doctor even met in the first place, he tends to have a bittersweet feeling thinking about their relationship, but despite this he still enjoys being around them. They're an incredibly comforting presence for him, and might just be the main reason he can't sleep without something fluffy nearby.
Hiroto is very very dear to Clover. They've known the 'young lad' for as long as he's been with the Aokis, and honestly are one of the only reasons the little guy is still around. They were the only one capable of helping, and so despite the grief of the situation, immediately took on the responsibility of not only tending to the scars, but the plethora of other issues the lizard suffered as a result. Even knowing what he's done, they've been able to look past it the same as the rest of the Estate, and now care for him as though he were their own. And in a way, he is.
Little star to the croc, they have spent the better part of many years- both in and out of schooling- enjoying Clover’s presence whenever they can meet. It has been more infrequent as of recent, but time does not wear down the close bond they have. Lo’enn LOVES being teasing to Clover, though takes her fair share of “”assault”” back from Raines. It was- and in a way still is- hard for the croc to properly develop close connections, so each one she has she holds tight.
A long-time friend from school, Lo'enn is someone that Clover doesn't get to see so often anymore. But when they do, it's like no time passed at all. The doctor is able to crack jokes with her like it's nothing, and although the teasing and taunting goes both ways, they never feel like it's anything personal. They love that. They hope that even after all these years, the croc thinks of them the same, fondly, and with warmth.
The only time Ger'Ar met Willow, she held him a knife to his throat and threatened to dispose of him in a Highly Unpleasant manner. He doesn't have strong opinions about her one way or the other though, she's just. Another civilian, at the end of the day.
Willow met Ger’Ar when he wandered into her cottage and she threatened to kill him painfully. She feels a little bad about it but refuses to apologise, instead imparting him with “nuggets of wisdom” and occasionally sending him baked goods.
Hiroto! Heigo absolutely LOVES them, platonically of course. Their bubbly and ever so slightly chaotic nature just went perfectly with theirs; and while they didn't know eachother that well from the chats, the moment they met at the wedding of Tabi and Goncalo, they immediately went :D!! and got along with them just swimmingly. New bestie alert!
Hiro always thought Heigo seemed pretty cool from seeing him in the chats, but only got to meet him when Tabi and Goncalo got married! They got along WONDERFULLY right off the bat, and now Hiroto considers Heigo a friend of theirs!!
Hiroto has an unlikely friendship with Mo! Figuring out that the mask is what was causing him pain, the two can now *safely* spend time together without it. Hiro, when able, will make the trek out to Mo's cabin with bits and bobs from the city- usually just to see what Mo makes of them, but also to try and get him back up to speed. It's.. A bit hard, as proven by the troubles with the 'funny box', but he does his best to be patient as Mo figures out such foreign concepts. Like gum. And Doritos.
