Ahnkahari and Murai are childhood friends from the same village, they grew up tossing mud and wood at each other and it shows in their interactions. When they speak with each other, it is almost incomprehensible to the foreign ear. Ahnka travels in the same caravan as the vet and brings them little animal memorabilia from other regions when necessary.
Murai greatly has Ahnkahari to thank for their love of animals, but even more so of travelling. Befriending him when they were both young, Murai appreciates Ahnka's outgoing nature to balance out their more relaxed, somewhat secluded one. A golden lab and black cat duo, they're often found together in their free time, and are almost always up to *something.* Whether that's fixing the caravan, coming up with new music, or simply just goofing off, it's clear Ahnka is Murai's most dearly held friend.
Lea absolutely loves hanging with Hiroto. Having someone to talk with about music, and the vareity of video games is oh so very beloved to her. Learning how to un child-lock the fridge for Hiro in 3 seconds flat is one of her best feats yet in her opinion. After her contract transformation, she did send him a "i LIVED B*TCH" text.
Hiro thinks Lea is incredibly fucking cool, in his own words. There's something about a hovering robot that actually, properly thinks that he is just enamored with. He enjoys playing music with and for Lea, as well as videogames and taking part in some occasional shenanigans. He now has the "little lady" on speed-dial for when he gets locked out of the appliances due to her and Tui's debates. After her transformation, Hiro was over the MOON about it. Once he actually saw her, he was just in awe. His little robo-buddy, given physical form via the cosmos. "That's fucking SICK, dude!" is what he'd tell just about anybody else about it. Other than the hype at Lea now being more than just a little bunny bot, Hiro quickly took to trying to help her with her mobility- especially with her hands. Teaching her secret handshakes, games, and maybe even a bit of drumming to help her get used to touching and holding things. He thinks she's done pretty damn well with it, too.
Lea finds Dr Raines so very impressive. As she's figuring out her contract with Faraze, she has the urge to go ask them for some help, as well in how to read people and take care of herself. When she learns this whole remembering and not forgetting things down, Clover is sure to see a message pop up from her.
Clover finds Lea to be a fascinating little lady, only having met her once during a... Rather high-stress situation, they were impressed with her capabilities and how she handled it all. They'd like to get to know her better.
While Manami at first pitied Hiroto, during their energy drink dependency, she sees him as a close friend now, almost like a pseudo-sibling, sees as him and Rotui live together. She enjoys her time off crashing at their place, showing Hiroto new ocean-walker sweets and new drink recipes.
He first really knew of Manami through Rotui, back when the surfer was trying to get him off those damn energy drinks. One of the mixes that Nami whipped up was being used as the substitute, and honestly- he's still drinking it. Aside from that, however, he thinks Nami is great company when Tui and Lea get into one of their long arguments about- something. Anything. He likes to make little bets with her (in food) about who will win. He always bets on Tui, even if he's on a losing streak.
Manami happens to stumble across the doctor quite often. Whether at the Rotui household with Hiroto or at their brunches together. She feels like Clover is a safe space to talk about the big feelings she has, both n her field and her past. She's glad that despite the weird stories and feelings she's expressed to Clover, they still keep accepting the brunch invites. She hopes to learn some macrame soon so she can gift Clover a couple pieces for their room.
Manami is someone that Clover has quite the curiosity about. Not for any one particular reason, the doctor just happens to think that she's a fascinating individual. One that they'd like to get to know much better. So far, they've established a casual relationship with Nami, finding it quite comfortable to simply spend some time with the lifeguard when they're on her turf. They've also managed to set up a loose schedule of brunches with her, which allows the both of them to take some time away from their busy jobs helping others. They think it's nice to have someone to have more in depth conversations with about some of the complexities that come with working in a field saving lives, even though they're in vastly different branches of it. Clover hopes that Manami can eventually trust them to listen to her troubles regarding things like this, though for the time being they're just as content to laugh about the more ridiculous aspects of the job. Sometimes that can be enough, too.
Rita thinks Nessie is talented af. Being able to manage a whole club AND still make drinks? Is crazy to her/ And how she cultivates her audience to be so good is a huge skill in her eyes. Since Nessie is one of Abril's close friends, Rita considers Nessie a friend as well. Whenever she can visit Ono she brings all sorts syrups and ingredients to her, along with stories of unfortunate toursits.
While she was surprised to see a landwalker at her club, she was also excited to meet someone from Xuxia! She hit it off with Rita pretty quick when they first met, and since then has thoroughly enjoyed her visits to Ono. The new ingredients Rita provides her with are always appreciated, and she makes sure they never go to waste. While the tourist stories caught her off guard at first, she can now laugh at them with Rita. Seriously, is it that hard to read a sign that says "DANGER: CARNIVOROUS PLANTS AHEAD" ??? Maybe she has her own "stupid tourist" stories to share... Though unfortunately hers can just come back again.
Very close friends and gossip buddies, the tattoo artist tries her best to keep in touch with the metalhead. Long and tiring days of work truly pay off when Hiroto is on the phone rambling about whatever obsession they decided to latch into. One day Shan wishes to finally be able to put some ink on him.
Hiroto always has a blast talking to Shan. Whether on the phone or in person, it always seems like they have something to talk about... Or rather, Hiro does. There's a comfortability between the two that he has a hard time finding elsewhere, one where he can ramble on as much as he likes and he never feels as though he's bothering the tattoo artist. It's entirely possible that their similar pasts, or what they remember of them, bring that comfort. For Hiro, at least, he finds solace in the fact that there's someone else that kind of gets it.
Jasper thoroughly enjoys the company of the programmer! It's nice to have somebody to talk to about all the techy stuff that no one else understands the ins and outs of. Sometimes he'll help them out by hopping into the games they're coding to play test them and help Kade find bugs. So long as they let him use their chargers in return, he's happy to continue running into invisible walls and taking damage from random doors so they can get their work done.
He met Clover in a rather calm environment, same as Orochi. While they were civil during that time, he's much less certain on where he stands with the doctor. He tried to get a read on them, but with their unchanging expression it makes it a tad bit difficult. He supposes it's the same as what he does, their own version of a poker face. No one can tell what you're thinking if your expression never changes.
Clover is hesitant when it comes to Ger'Ar. Knowing his past and even some current actions of his mean they aren't all too fond of the shark. Not yet, anyway. He still has some work to do in proving that he's on their side of things, in their eyes. They trust Orochi in his decision not to be harsh on the Reef Shark, but they aren't so sure they can befriend him the same way their leader has. Time will tell, they suppose.
Though she can be quite loud, Alo'Rah never minds the captain's company on the rare occasion that she docks along the Khiotho shores. Her rowdiness never turns to (serious) violence, nor does she wreck the tavern with her shenanigans. Drunk wrestling being the main of them. Rae is always happy to give Leucosia some of her best cider and wine, as the pirate is quite the honoured guest in her eyes. Sometimes she wonders what it would be like to hop on board the ship, just for a little while..
Folk she knows talk about the little Inn in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes when sailing the seas is not allowed, the pirate might crash in there for a few nights to simply gets some peace. It is in the middle of nowhere, that is what Leucosia and her people need sometimes. Though Kiotho folk are way less- fun - than her people, sometimes warming up next to a campfire has its charms. The tavern keeper is a lovely lady that maybe would like to hear some old drunk tale of events long passed. Some may not be true, but she cannot corroborate that. Pirates have a habit of - spreading some spice into the truth.
Ama and Thrae first met in a professional setting as Thrae often ordered custom and unique commissions, but eventually they ended up becoming something more. Ama’s louder nature meshes up well with Thrae’s, but sometimes they just enjoy the peace and quiet together while doing their work. Ama always saves her most beautiful pieces for Thrae.
While Rae was first charmed by the jewelry, it didn't take long for her to be just as charmed by the one making it either. Something about Ama's firey personality intrigued Rae, and so she spent the time to get to know her properly. Nowadays, she eagerly awaits the jeweler's next visit so she can see what it is she's been up to, as well as fixing up her clothes or perhaps adding some new patterns to them should she have the time.
Owner is horrible at technology, imagine his surprise when technology literally grew legs. Eating pixels is not quite on his diet so he bothers him for help in their very busted PC. They now can play that funny slime game where he gets to kill them with water. Thats his favorite game. Soon enough maybe he will haunt them so he can get that sequel everyone talks about.
Through an odd series of events, Z-1 introduced Jeremías to Slime Rancher, and accidentally got him hooked on it. During a normal day at the cafe, The Owner's laptop started going haywire and. Well Weather Boy's whole job is working with computers, so he offered to lend a hand. Once fixed, he told Jere that his laptop could probably run an array of games now, only to be met with "Like what?"
Slime Rancher. Slime Rancher is what. It's one of the guy's favourites of course he's gonna spread the tism, even if they enjoy the game for vastly different reasons-
Cha'ahd's grown to like Nessie, the way she is able to lay down the rules but keep a good vibe is something he deeply respects. And hey its not everywhere a huge mech man can be himself and not be kicked out of a bar. Sure he may cause some property damage, but he makes up for it by doing the dirty work of kicking patrons out (or throwing them) when they get too rowdy.
Nessie says the word and Cha'ahd will do it.
While she may have been weary of the big guy at first, Nessie very quickly came to adore Cha'ahd's vibe. While it may be a bit extra to some, she thinks it's lovely, and just what her club needs sometimes. He's become someone she cares deeply for, and to show her appreciation for removing creeps from her premises, brings him free food. He even has his own table that he can chew on!!
100% gremlins. This is why interacting and joking with the person you sat across from is so fun and easy. Braincells bounce at the speed of light!!! It’s really sad fruit can’t go through a phone though-
Gremlins. The both of them. The shenanigans these two get up to when their braincells are allowed to bounce off of each other is astounding. No one ever gets hurt, but they sure do have some weird ideas
By the way no, fruit does not travel through phones very well
Z-1's little phone trick of just. Popping out. Peyote will admit got him once (1 time). However, sometimes the lil rascal loses his bones or something so ...
Floor friends. Peyote will lie on the floor with them until the bones come back.
While he never meant to startle Peyote, he can't deny that he's never gonna let him live that down. The look on his face was too good to let slide. Though he supposes that the guy can get him back plenty of times over now, what with his No Bones moments after returning from Cyberspace. At least he doesn't have to lay alone on the floor anymore until the world stops spinning
Floor Friends :>
One might say these two are platonic soul mates… After meeting Nessie during a night of bar hopping, Eg was immediately drawn to her bubbly personality. Her establishment’s positive atmosphere and delicious drinks always have him coming back for more and Nessie’s charming personality is an added attraction to the establishment. Eg sees them as two peas in a pod with personalities that bounce right off one another. He loves to share work gossip with her and help her in any way he can if it means he gets to spend more time with this beloved friend.
One of her regulars from the early days of The Locker, Eg is now a good friend of Nessie's!! She uses him as a test dummy before adding new drinks to her menu, but makes up for it by giving him some of her more expensive mixes for free. He's always a joy to have at the club, and Nessie can always rely on him to keep the atmosphere positive and comfortable. Should someone be feeling down, she can essentially say "Sick 'em!" and Eg will go turn that frown upside down. She values his friendship greatly, and does her best to make time for him in her busy schedule.
Brig visits Alo'Rah's Inn often. Usually to warm his bones with a glass of mead and a fireplace after spending who knows how long in the woods. He'll often help chop wood or do any odd jobs that need doing around the place as a form of payment. Poker nights with her and Kha are also always a blast, even if he never seems to win.
Considered a regular at her inn, Brig is someone that Rae always looks forward to seeing. Whether it be listening to his hunting stories, or receiving a helping hand around the tavern, she knows he will always be good company, and often leave the place better than he found it. On the rare occasion that she doesn't have anything that needs to be done, she'll sit and share a cup of tea or cocoa with him instead of listening to his tales from behind the bar. He's one of few that she seems willing to allow to lend a hand around the place without supervision.
Khiel'rin enjoys spending time at Alo's Inn, whether it be to simply talk or help out with keeping the space nice and toasty. She'll always be up for visiting the Inn. It's a nice break from her time with the family.
Meeting Khiel'rin thanks to Brig'en, Rae wasn't sure of the fierce looking woman at first. That quickly changed, however, as Khiel proved herself to be a kind-hearted and friendly individual. Offering to help Rae as she was low on firewood, the mage used her abilities to keep the Inn warm until enough could be gathered to sustain the tavern until the next group of travelers came in. Since then, Rae has looked upon her time with Khiel fondly, as she always brings the Innkeeper some peace in one way or another.
Always a welcome face at the Tavern, Kha is someone that Rae feels comfortable around. Though she doesn't see him often, she always has some things set aside just in case he does come by. As for the poker nights... She has no comment on the matter. Though she does believe perhaps she should stop wearing her favourite jewelry to the gatherings...
The tavern keeper is one of the nearest to Kha'rut when it comes to geography. Therefore when his body allows it, he visits her for resources and talk. She is a sweet woman, do not get him wrong, he simply has a sneaking suspicion she steals back all the objects he wins from her in poker nights.
A rather chipper alphean, her personality as vibrant as her color. One of the more welcoming faces that Wun's seen. They do enjoy the every now and then that they can make it to her bar, be it for Abril's shows or just for a cool looking drink... The broadcastings of the Xuxian races also gets them to overstay their welcome at this bar.
While she's still learning about Wun, she very much enjoys their company. They sometimes challenge her views on things, and she appreciates that. The few times they've conversed, she's either learned something about herself or about how she views things that really makes her think. Even when their talks are more casual, Nessie finds herself having a good time. Wun is always someone she's happy to see!
Nessie has always played Ronnie's music in her club when she's trying to wind down, finding that it helps to soothe her after a busy night of work. So seeing that she had a chance to get to know them better, she lept at it! And she is SO glad she did, because Ronnie has become a wonderful friend of hers. They talk about lots of things, ranging from music to Xuxian fauna, or Onoian culture. She's sure to send Ronnie updates of silly things her patrons do, so long as he keeps her updated on where he's at!!
"Nessie is an amazing friend, I really dig the gal, Her scene under the waves seems way sharp too- from what I've seen!!"
Ronnie really sees Nessie as a fantastic friend of theirs! They think she's the life of the party honestly, and one day wants to surprise her with a visit to her club.
They're incredibly glad to of met her, and always buzzes with excitement looking forward to their conversations- even if they can be at weird times sometimes due to the planetary differences and working times! They're always sure to give her updates on where the band's going, even sometimes video chatting right when performances are about to start so she can see what it's like to go to a show on land!
While they don't understand who Z-1 is or how he can reach them so frequently, they are still more than happy to spend time with this stranger when he crosses through their space! He's always kind, and seems to want to help them fix the cracks on their screens and crackly old radio speaker. Aether appreciates the concern this unknown caretaker shows them.
Z-1 has a fair few regrets about building Aether. They were only meant to be an AI assistant, but when the program went "dark" and stopped responding, he messed around with the code just... A little too much before leaving it alone. Years later, after his own incident, he came across Aether within a pocket of cyberspace. The now sentient assistant made its own form somehow, and though Z-1 expected them to be hostile, it seems instead they are simply.. Curious. And now he is, too, wanting to understand how something like this could happen. First and foremost, though, he wants to get the little AI patched up as a means to try and make up for what's happened so far. Even if Aether doesn't understand their situation.
Vak knows of Butier because of the spaces he used to roam in before rehab. The night scene is not foreign to him and so they have a casual friendship going on. She is, a bit too energetic for him sometimes but that is ok.
Nessie is happy to be a friend of Vak's! While she respects his status as king, she still does her best to treat him like she would anyone else. Kindly, and with the goal to make them smile. She currently is a sort of personal trainer for him, doing her best to give him a routine to follow that will keep him active- and get him out of bed in the morning.
Abril absolutely ADORES Nessie. Nessie being one of he core foundations in Abril's comedy career, she feels indebted to Nessie n will forever hype her up because of it. They often go to the gym together, with Abril rambling about new comedy routines and the many stories she has from her times as one of the chief's at Ono's customs. Abril frequents Nessie's bar and feels the place a second home, whenever she and Nessie are free they go for girls nights, which range from self-care, to cooking to going out to arts-rafts. You name it? They've probably one it, or it's on their list TO DO. Abril's and hers inbox is never empty, rom Abril sending wips of her comic, to silly pictures of Hatsu.
Meeting Abril is something that Nessie will always look fondly upon. With Abril wanting to get into comedy, some fellow entertainers must have pointed her in Nessie's direction. And boy is she glad they did! She hit it off with Abril almost instantly. Admiring that she wanted to pursue her passion and wanting to help her, Nessie offered to host Abril's first shows! Since then, they've become good friends, and Nessie does her best to make time for the artist in her busy life.
Nessie is Hatsu's longest held and best friend. Although initially weary of the other Alphean, Nessie quickly wormed her way into Hatsu's heart by standing up against her bullies. To this day Hatsu and Nessie spend a lot of time together at Nessie's bar or one of their apartments, playing games, trying Nessie's newest cocktails, or sharing secrets.
Hatsu is Nessie's closest friend, and she could not be happier to have someone like her in her life. Meeting when they were both quite young, Nessie right off the bat wanted to be friends. It took some work, but she's glad that she put in the effort, because now she's one of the people Nessie enjoys her time with the most. Hatsu is someone that Nessie can relax around, and she does her best to repay that by being as silly as she possibly can to get Hatsu to laugh.
