Someone from his past. Renata was a fellow dealer of poisons and pain. Despite how much he may have tried to pay her no mind, she did slowly worm her way through his many layers. Even now that he is on the run, Dani'yal still tries to slip her some notes and intel on new poisons or tips within the trade, unaware that Renata is no longer a part of it.
Mira stumbled upon Mew'kith'ii at a crossroads in her life. Not being as sure-footed as she once was in her choices, hearing his songs brought some comfort in an otherwise turbulent time. Though not the only reason, Mew'kith'ii's outlook on life was a great influence for her to change her own perspective. After finally finding her own peace, she approached the musician to befriend him. Whenever they're in the same area, she makes sure to stop by his performances to catch up and give him some gifts, usually in the form of dried herbs and pressed flowers.
A new friend that finally came up to Mew'kith'ii after one of his performances. He had seen the turmoil in their heart when they had first started showing up at his performances years ago, and he's glad to see that they found the answers to the questions they sought through his music. Mew'kith'ii finds them quite charming and is endeared by the way they went out of their way to communicate effectively with him, even if the perfumes that waft around them often make Mew'kith'ii sneeze.
A patron that the seahorse doesn't see all too often. But when she does, she's always amused by how.... Chill, he is. Not a lot of people that come around Nessie's establishment are the calm, go with the flow type, so it's quite interesting to see him around. His presence also seems to keep the vibe of the place dampened by a notch or two, which she can't deny is a much needed break sometimes. She likes Egan, she hopes he keeps swimming by.
Being a newer friend of Nessie's thanks to a chance meeting at the spa, Milli is someone that Nessie LOVES to talk trends with. Whether it's makeup, fashion, or food, it seems the two can always find something new to talk about. Gossip, of course, is always on the table too, though it's mostly about out-of-reach celebrities and things she's overheard in her club. She likes to spend downtime with the dentist, they may talk about the drama, but Nessie likes that they don't involve themselves in it.
Nessie's had plenty of bouncers come and go from the Locker, but Gio has to be one of her favourites as of late. He does his job well, of course, but more than that- he's a joy to be around. She adores that despite taking the job seriously, he still knows how to have a good time. She wants to see him achieve his dreams more than anything, and has offered her support countless times to help make that happen. Nessie's proud of how far he's come in the time she's known him.
Gio feels like landing a job with Nessie is a dream come true. He looks up to her as an idol and sibling. He is always thankful for her support and is happy he can just be himself around her! Getting a workout by kicking people out is just a plus to the job.
Off planet friends are nothing new to Clover, with Ernesto being one of the first. Starting off as a professional inquiry, their relationship developed to be much more close and casual over time. Dr. Raines has learned many useful things from Ernesto, and though their own specialization is a bit more- out there, they hope he's learned a thing or two from them as well. They love when Dr. Decante calls, usually because they know it entails an incoming rant. It's fun to just- talk, sometimes. He reminds them that it's important to take breaks, even if inadvertently.
As one of Ernesto's closest friends in the professional field, the older Alphean values Clover both for their medical knowledge and as a companion.
Their chats always manage to make Ernesto's Day better.
He just whiches they would take time for themselves more often, not wanting a trusted friend to burn out.
Berry has untold appreciation for Mint, or "Chip" as she often calls them. Helping her to get her footing again after the incident, and sticking by her even when things got really, really hard. They're the whole reason that the Sweet Shoppe was even possible. Nowadays, when people mention that it seems like they're slacking off, Berry just shrugs and smiles. In her eyes, they've more than earned the right to take it easy.
Even when she'd been missing for months, Mint never gave up on her sister. They knew she was out there, somewhere- something told her to keep looking. And thanks to the investigations by "Monarch", she was found. It was a rocky road they had to traverse to get Berry back to her former self, but one they would walk again if they had to. Nowadays though, they enjoy pestering Berry to no end, and taking naps in the backroom of the Shoppe.
Mostly awestruck by Faraxe, Nessie does her best not to intrude on their work... Whatever that may be. She's only seen them occasionally, but would like to understand what they do a bit better. Their seemingly quiet nature reminds Nessie to take pause every now and then, sometimes things need a more calm approach than her usual tactics.
The lass that swims around the current king. Charming, polite and most importantly: respectful. It is nice to see some taste around the palace. Faraxe is a bit fond of old timed conventions of respecting your elders.
Faust first ran into Mari outside of the Hearth, at a speakeasy. Knowing her reputation made them wary, but they approached her all the same. To this day they insist it's the best decision they've ever made, as they've become closer to Mari than they are even to the other Operators, and find her company to come with some of the only genuine conversation they can have. She's the one that Faust first told about their doubts about the Hearth, and she's the one they continue to confide in seeing as she shares the sentiment. The bird hopes that one day, they'll both be able to high-tail it outta there and never look back... But Mari seems determined to stick around and get to the bottom of things instead.
A surprisingly friendly face planted in one of the most dangerous parts of the city, Mari certainly did not have being approached by an Operator on her checklist. She almost wishes she did, because Faust has been an excellent source of information since that night... And more. Mari feels safe with the raven, maybe because they run security for one of the most elusive and yet well-known crime rings, but it's more likely because of the sincere welcome and comradery they've been greeted with from them. Whatever the reason, she's nothing but grateful for it. It's nice to have someone by her side while she finds out the truth.
Clover was surprised upon meeting the mechanic. Though they'd heard of them before through Hiroto, the picture they'd painted in their mind was of a far more energetic and rowdy individual. Perhaps the circumstances under which they met dulled that slightly, but regardless, they find Dani to be a lovely person to speak with. They may even be able to learn something about prosthetics from her. After all, they're always seeking knowledge that could help them and their family.
Though they still linger around the fiery feline, it's only memories that keep him company. In her final moments, she promised she'd never be too far away. She's managed to keep that promise, albeit indirectly. One of those rings he wears keeps them close.
Rya was the first person that Zuriel knew he could turn to for anything. Though he misses them dearly, he knows they aren't coming back. There's nothing that can be done to revive the tiger, he just hopes Aquia and the others are at least at peace. Maybe they've been spared from seeing what's become of him and the rebellion.
Lazura met Murai through Anhka and enjoys their gentle soul. She often trusts Murai to look after her animals health before and after events to make sure no drunk partygoer snuck them anything.
Finding it quite the honour to look after Lazura's animals, and perhaps taking some pride in it, Murai always takes a bit of extra time with them to ensure they're in tip-top shape for their next event. Not even someone who travels as often as them is oblivious to her lavish parties and incredible talent and success with makeup, finding it admirable that she built such a successful business. While the crowd she often has around her estate may not be their vibe, they still find Lazura, personally, to be an enjoyable presence.
Mainaaka knew Murai from way before the caves. As he cared for cattle, the young azvirahn always visited him to get used to the animals. They bonded over this, the vulture would talk to them about the stars and the sky. One day, it all abruptly ended when he disappeared.
If Murai had to pinpoint one moment in time, one person that made them love any and all animals, it would be that first visit to Mainaaka with the cattle. The bigger animals were always a bit intimidating to her, but he showed her that so long as you respected them, there was nothing to fear. Nowadays, Murai keeps an eye out wherever she goes for the missing Ichgor, hoping to one day see her friend just once more so he can tell her about the stars again.
The White Sparrow is Murai's favourite place to stop when they have a moment to. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, and Lattevora is always a sight for sore eyes. They're sure to bring the café owner painted landscapes of the places they see on their travels, sometimes even collecting flowers to press and dry for her. They don't get to spend much time at the café, often having to simply drop off gifts, pick up a drink and go again, but on the few occasions that they can stay and talk they usually find themself laughing over something silly that the two of them have done. She's a wonderful friend to the veterinarian, and one day hopes to bring her on an adventure with them.
TBD
Another ichgor that Murai will sometimes pick up on their travels, Aera is someone that Murai spends a fair bit of time with. Even if it is completely by accident. They seem to have a rather comical knack for crossing paths with the cartographer, to the point where they've both made a game out of it. Whoever spots the other first gets rights to draw on the other's notebook. Murai likes the arrangement, it helps to keep them aware of their surroundings as they're constantly keeping an eye out for their friend.
Murai likes to spend time with Tehn simply because he's comfortable. With the chaos that comes with their job, it's nice to know someone that doesn't have animals to tend to, someone they can just simply sit and relax with. They always feel refreshed and recharged after hanging out with him... Maybe the naps have some part to play in that, but Murai certainly isn't complaining about those, either.
Murai is the vet for Ra'khais hellish animals. They are not very proud to admit some of their scars came from their mounts. The ichgor doesn't ask too many questions, is affordable and prioritizes health of the animal, which is exactly what the outlaw needs at the moment. he really cannot afford the guards on their tail again-
Although Ra's animals are... Not Murai's favourite, they still try their best to give them the same care as they do any other animal. When they let her, of course. Ra'khai on the other hand, IS one of their favourite clients. That's partially because of the quick payment, but Murai also finds some of Ra's inventions absolutely fascinating. They make the pecks that she receives worth it, in her eyes.
Ahnkahari and Murai are childhood friends from the same village, they grew up tossing mud and wood at each other and it shows in their interactions. When they speak with each other, it is almost incomprehensible to the foreign ear. Ahnka travels in the same caravan as the vet and brings them little animal memorabilia from other regions when necessary.
Murai greatly has Ahnkahari to thank for their love of animals, but even more so of travelling. Befriending him when they were both young, Murai appreciates Ahnka's outgoing nature to balance out their more relaxed, somewhat secluded one. A golden lab and black cat duo, they're often found together in their free time, and are almost always up to *something.* Whether that's fixing the caravan, coming up with new music, or simply just goofing off, it's clear Ahnka is Murai's most dearly held friend.
