(where someone gets a design from me, they resell it, then charge me back. thus i cannot take the design back OR dispute anything through paypal since they always side with the buyer) this is just. i dont even know how to explain anymore. im just tired and i want to rest. please be aware of this person and do not do any business with them. they seem to be still active so be aware.

i dont have any other income besides my art, and having this happen along with my block. i just dont know how im going to make it out of this along w the numerous bills i have to pay and people i owe. this is just embarrassing at this point. if you wanna donate literally anything, u can do so on my ko fi. ill offer up some bases and exclusive stuff in a bit. i just need to settle down and really think about things atm. ty to everyone who is interested in my work. genuinely you all have been keeping me afloat for so many years, and i cannot thank you enough.

Just so you're aware - jodora is back again with 6+ sock puppet accounts (I'm guessing more.) Be aware and be sure to check who's bidding on adopts or art from you.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, it's horribly wrong this person continues to do this to multiple people with no repercussions.

I want to add, f this helps, it's possible to fight the chargeback and win as a seller, because it happened to me too. Make sure you always use detailed invoices, link your ToS both in the ad/post and invoice. You'll need screenshots for this; when they asked to buy, sending their payment info, notifying paying, sending them the design, etc. Paypal asks for a max of 5 images as proof, I made collages to fit everything and explain in detail. It was less, $100 smth, but I won and got the money back, so it's worth a try!

My scammer claimed it was an unauthorized purchase. In my case I added screenshots of every single step, so it shows the buyer was voluntarily making the purchase, and then of me both sending the character and link to the files (not only the msg but what the link contained too). The buyer had reposted the character on other social media saying they got it from me so that was a bonus to show they indeed had the files. I also added a little text above each pic describing what was going on. I tried to make it as clear as possible, I was surprised it worked!

Sent a bit to help 💖 I hope paypal sides with the artist/persons affected as doing this many charge backs should be flag as suspicious :T Also I find crushing they did so many that its already on $3000+ and it keeps growing...

And I find ironic that they now ask time to "fix this" like... Bruh ☠️
Edit: just to explain I find it ironic because instead of their priority be cancel the chargebacks and show proof of it instead they had priority in answering psa/beware asking time/for those to be taken down...

i’m the person who sheller ended up reselling your design to. they had overcharged me $50 on top of the design ($350), due to my own negligence i didn’t notice it since i assumed they may have had a pending commission/etc (i was also at work during the whole transaction so my focus wasn’t completely there).

they sent me extra as well to apologize for the inconvenience but in the form of an e-check through kofi. it still hasn’t cleared into my account, but seeing the chargebacks i worry that this will happen once it does end up in my account… (i can provide the details privately if needed)

i am terribly sorry that you were affected by this… i had been really stressed about the extra charge and am surprised that they chargebacked so many artists and creators.

if there is anything i can do, to hopefully get this sorted out please feel free to dm me. i feel extremely guilty … i see someone had suggested for the owner of marshall to chargeback sheller and send the $300 to you… but i had never heard of this being done. but if anything!

i see, i just don't want to do anything rash since i have never really done chargebacks ever so i worry if it could backfire (nor did i want to do anything that may upset you since you are the designer of said design) . but i assume that once the echeck of what they owe finally hits my paypal account, it will also be chargebacked if i don't refund it. while my amount isn't as big as yours.. and i deeply feel and am sorry for the issues that have happened with the character.

i wish i had kept the receipts of them saying they will sell to me in case they help your case (i only have receipt of me sending my paypal, but no clear indication for what design), but i delete comments due to the visual clutter for me.

if things go south once the echeck clears into my account, i will most likely be filing a chargeback ..so hopefully you could recuperate the $300 and me the $50 T_T

to both of you, i have a screenshot of them offhandedly mentioning that they had to sell this design to mithra specifically, if it helps to corroborate and i can send this receipt to you both if needed (this is from them commissioning me last week, they had changed the character they wanted to commission me for multiple times and i should have sensed something iffy about it then, but just thought it was simple indecisiveness at the time)

i have done commissions for jodora in the past, never had any issues and they were luckily very cooperative with wanting to give me back the $50 i was overcharged for. i had refunded them a doodle chibi manually (sent it from my paypalg, since they wanted to pay off kiiba’s adopt and were worried vgen wouldnt issue it fast enough. i had pleasant transactions in past so i didnt think much of it.. but i got anxious after a reply that i just issued a refund on vgen formally.

yeah of course!! i realize the two receipts i was thinking of aren’t the same but you are both still mentioned in conversation and for reselling designs so i will still send both your way!

i’m very glad that they were cooperative in giving back the $50 too, i myself have had pretty amicable interactions with them so it came out of left field for me too >_<

I hope this gets resolved for you. You honestly didn't deserve this, no one here did. Someone has been totaling the amount of chargebacks everyone has received and it’s reached over $2,000. You guys most likely have a legal name attached to the PayPal, so maybe whoever has been affected should consider contacting the authorities. That’s a felony amount of fraud where I live, and doing this to small businesses are artists is completely unacceptable.

God so I'm not the only one they also did a chargeback for me today. I actually have them friended on discord and have been trying to contact them cause I thought it was a mistake
Their characters here are all currently in trades https://toyhou.se/Sheller/characters/folder:2583310 but I am not sure which ones specifically have had a chargeback filed. Mine has been hidden

yeah. it all suck. hopefully chuchy can get money back. its always artists who are affected the most and guilty person always gets away with it T_T i hope not this time tho. + an addition ill add not everything went smoothly with mithra too there is still 50$ this person owe her as she paid with echeck or something and didn't receive the money at the end (for the context. design was 300$ worth and got sold for 350 to mithra. then explained as a mistake and 50 was supposed to go back to mithra)

May i ask what is the character they asked chargeback to?? I know you can fill a ticket on toyhouse and if the Admin takes notice they'll freeze their account from trading/transferring ocs until they will repay you

good god im so sorry this happened to you!! will definitely share around. maybe you could consider perhaps moving your art onto other platforms like Vgen to prevent chargeback in the future? that way you'll at least have Vgen or whatever website/platform as the middle man to help you instead of solely relying on paypal
