I will answer first ^^

-Who is your favorite voice actor/actress and why ?

Imai Asami for Japanese VAs (seiyuus) ! She voiced my queen, Vira and my favorite im@s, Kisaragi Chihaya. I love her singing and her range so much ;-;

-Who are your other favorite VAs ?

I love Fukuyama Jun, Ayane Sakura and Touyama Nao ! For dub VAs, probably Wendee Lee and Johnny Yong Bosch.

-Who got you into VAs or knowing about them in general ?

The first VA that I started remembering her name and roles is Wendee Lee... She was my childhood ! I forgot which is my first for seiyuus but I assume its Fukuyama Jun

-Do you assign VA voice claims to your OCs ? Share them !

I haven't upload all my OCs on TH yet but one of them will have Imai Asami's voice <3 I wish to put both sub and dub VAs but I'm bad at picking two VAs to match one character...

-Are you interested in voice acting yourself ?

Not really, I'm more interested in singing (Utaite ish) kind but I'm too shy to record my voice ^^;

-Who is your favorite voice actor/actress and why ?

Ayane Sakura! She has an excellent range, and I think she's a wonderful person and is seriously talented. I really loved her performance as Bortz in Houseki no Kuni, which made me find a whole new appreciation for the cast involved and voice actors alike.

-Who are your other favorite VAs ?

Ai Kayano, Yuu Kobayashi, Mariya Ise, and many more!

-Who got you into VAs or knowing about them in general ?

Years ago, I found myself wanting to watch/play a lot of series with Aya Uchida in them, but that kind of died down when Love Live started becoming a little less mainstream. I seemed to pick that habit back up after I started watching/playing more series with a variety of voice actors. (Looking at you, Granblue Fantasy and Houseki no Kuni).

I do! My main four each have seiyuu I associate them with.

Mari: Ayane Sakura

Yusuimaru: Yuu Kobayashi

Kagi: Mariya Ise

Akiko: Ai Kayano

-Are you interested in voice acting yourself ?

Not in the slightest, but that doesn't stop me from imagining my characters sounding like my favorite seiyuu. (laughs)

I'm not really like a fan who follows the VAs directly, but I still got a lot of respect for them.

-Who is your favorite voice actor/actress and why ?

Tomokazu Seki, the dude is just everywhere and yet every time gives his 120% best, not to mention that he can sing and that's just great too. From Sentai to Gundam.  One of my favorite roles of his was Prince Buldont in Ohranger. Without getting too much into why on the .01% off chance someone goes to watch the series, but he really got to show off his range with that role. All time favorite role was him as Domon Kasshu though cause I mean come on.

-Who are your other favorite VAs ?
Sakura Tange, I mean I love Cardcaptor Sakura and a big part of that is the fantastic VA, who yeah, shares her name with Sakura and that's just fun!
Rica Matsumoto, She's been a consistent VA for Satoshi(Or well, Ash as most people would know him as better) all these years. But before that she was the voice of Arthur G6, that rad robot in Fiveman. She's also behind Kamen Rider Ryuki's amazing opening theme, Live A Live, and the other songs of hers I heard are fantastic, and well that's how she stays in my mind.

-Who got you into VAs or knowing about them in general ?
I just started to hear the same VAs in other places so now I always go try to find if it is a familiar voice or not when I hear the same voices, recent example would be the one who voiced Evolt in Kamen Rider Build, he had a role in Sekiro so when I heard him speak on the stream I was watching, I went and checked and yep! That was Evolt's VA.

Not anymore, but an old Pokemon character of mine who now really only exists on a cart, a Blaziken named Ryu, I associated Tomokazu Seki with him.

-Are you interested in voice acting yourself ?
Nah, I'll leave it to the pros.

-Who is your favorite voice actor/actress and why ? TAKAHIRO SAKURAI why?  he voices so many of my fav characters I was in denial for years but i just. He's great I love him

-Who are your other favorite VAs ? Showtaro Morikubo, Asami Imai, Shinichiro Miki, Megumi Ogata, Akira Ishida

-Who got you into VAs or knowing about them in general ? No one I'm not a part of like "seiyuu culture" or fandom or whatever I just like to follow my fav voice actors. and it was themselves i'm drawn to interesting performances and after awhile i just started recognizing the voices of my favs

Tomoaki Maeno haha... He voice acted several of my faves like 1146 (Cells at Work) and, while I'm yet to actually learn more about him, his voice is great? He's also voiced several characters in Food Fantasy and WHOA!! I couldn't really tell they were voiced by the same person at first because they all sounded different from each other, but who knows if its because of my bad ears lol

-Who are your other favourite VAs?

Rie Kugamiya! FMA was a part of my childhood, so her work as Alphonse is really meaningful to me! I can't imagine anyone else as him. Same with Romi Park! Y'all don't know how shook lil 13 year old me was when I found that she also voice acted Hanji too!

I've only recently found out about him, but Ayumu Murase has me shook too. I thought the characters he voiced were done by a girl but, nah, it's a 30-year-old dude. I refuse to believe he's 30 though he looks so young.....

FMA was a brief starter, but HOO BOY Food Fantasy and Cells at Work actually got me tryna learn about them. Fun fact; Food Fantasy lists the voice actors and seiyuus on character profiles!

None of them have public profiles yet, but I got some for Hiroto, Emi and Seiji!

Hiroto's seiyuu would be Tomoaki Maeno, but I don't have an English voice actor for him yet

Emi's seiyuu would be Ayumu Murase! Their English voice actor would be Casey Mongillo

As for Seiji, his seiyuu is Kenshou Ono and his English voice actor would be Edward Bosco

Kinda but not really? I wanna voice male characters but eeeeeee I can only do kids because my voice is naturally too high pitched and haven't trained my voice to go lower without straining it too much.

Voice acting would only be a hobby though I don't wanna do it professionally

This is still a seiyuu discussion thread, I don't allow gossips but official news are very welcomed. ^^ So congrats to Ayana Taketatsu and Yuki Kaji for their marriage !

OHH there's a thread already! Seiyuus are my current obsession, lemme join in!

-Who is your favorite voice actor/actress and why ?

For male, right now I'm quite in love with Nakamura Shuugo, aka Shugon, who voiced Teru from IM@S SideM and Issei from Tsukipro. To be honest I wasn't much into series he voiced besides SideM (though I like Issei to an extent). I didn't even really know if I like him at first though I love how pleasant his voice is and how amusing he is in IM@S Livestream-- that is until I read the interview of him where he told the story of him wanting to be a musician and went from Okinawa to Tokyo to achieve that dream--- and failing several times before becoming a seiyuu and landing a role as Teru. His voice is very pleasant to hear, and he's a fun person in any live stream and radio he's in.  He always seemed so genuine and his story has made me refuse to give up on my dreams; because if he finally had his musical artist debut at 31 while he was dreaming it since 18 and it's honestly such an inspiration!

For female... My favorite, in particular, is probably Uchida Maaya who voiced Kanzaki Ranko and Takanashi Rikka out of my fav characters! She voiced tons of my favorite character and her little banters with her fellow seiyuu and little brother Yuuma is fun to watch and hear. I was lucky enough to get her signature on AFAID 2016 and watch her live and give her my drawings of her characters via her staff; even becoming one of the staffs who interviewed her as one of my part-time jobs, though I was unable to say anything much out of being a nervous wreck haha.  

Another female seiyuu I really adore is Tanaka Minami aka Minyami! Out of my fav characters, she voiced Nitocris from FGO and Manaka Non from Pripara. Her voice range is amazing and she's such a funny relatable mess of a fangirl in FGO radio, though I first came to like her after Wake Up, Girls! Minyami's voice is fun to hear and I'm still bitter I would never see her in stage as WUG live. 

-Who are your other favorite VAs ?

Male: Uchida Yuuma, Yashiro Taku (I really love Dramatic Stars' irl VAs too!), Hosoya Yoshimasa, Ishikawa Kaito, Takeuchi Shunsuke, and Murase Ayumu! 

Female: Asumi Kana, Shibuya Azuki (iRis and d-selections. Visually, I love her the best tho), Yuuki Aoi, Amamiya Sora, Kido Ibuki, Moroboshi Sumire and Shimoji Shino. 

-Who got you into VAs or knowing about them in general ?

The first Seiyuu I knew is Horie Yui. But I think I grew to appreciate seiyuus during my Haruhi phase where I became a fan of Hirano Aya (I still like her voice even now...)

-Do you assign VA voice claims to your OCs ? Share them !

I do! For example bias Shugon is voicing like 3 of my male OCs in my head haha... I'd speak more about these hc later, but some of them should be on my character profiles.

-Are you interested in voice acting yourself ?

I do, right now indie! I have voiced in an arcade game dub in Indonesia (can't speak which one), actually, though it was years ago. To be honest I was going to give up because I kept on failing auditions, but then I encountered Shugon and his story inspires me, so I won't give up yet.

Anyway, I got so excited about Nakamura Shuugo's artist debut that I'm definitely ordering his first single's lim edition. Thank god it was on CDJapan...

airisregina Woah, it's pretty rare to see others who are fans of the seiyuu in i☆Ris! They were one of the guests at Anisong Matsuri at Anime Expo last year, and were an absolute delight to see. <3

There was a Pripara meet-up earlier in the day before their concert, and she and Miyu Kubota stopped by to say hi! It was such a nice gesture. I'll include a couple of photo links! (Group picture and an autographed call book!)

Poundcaked tbh I'm not much into iRis yet but I love them all.... mostly Zucchan because I'm seriously having gay celeb crushes for her ;___;

I really hoped I could've go but I live in Indonesia :"D That's too bad....

By the way, CDJapan had Nakamura Shuugo's CD up for preorder, and right after I finished my commission I rushed to preorder it! I can't wait for October~

airisregina Hope u don't mind pinging but that story is so inspirational ! Also an indie VA here, wow ! I won't ask about the arcade game while it is cool bc you're in one, tho out of curiosity have you ever done fandubs ? Good luck on your future VA works/auditions too !

Luminiera Don't worry, it's okay! :"D I have yet to do group English fandubs tbh, I'd love to but there's not much I'm interested in at the moment and I'm quite... horrible in speaking English. I'm exclusively doing dubs in Japanese and Indonesian which I'm more fluent with.

Sometimes for fun I do fandubs of unvoiced IM@S CG girls though, they should be in my Youtube.
