2021 Finding Friends Master Thread

Lately there's been a lot of people posting separate "looking for friends" threads. It'd be a lot better and easier imo to have one people can post in and look through instead of having everyone making new ones, so here it is :)

Introduce yourself! What are your hobbies? Passions? Fun facts? Social media and contact info? Share whatever you'd like and maybe you'll find some nice people to strike a conversation with! 

My name is Matt (he/him), i'm 22 years old and art takes up like 80% of my brain capacity, mostly because i'm trying to get into illustration or storyboarding as a career :P Most of what i like to draw is my ocs doing silly things and being friends. my three favorite games are: mother 3, fire emblem echoes, and pmd explorers of time but i also enjoy stardew valley and minecraft. I'm also really fond of bugs (especially moths and tarantulas) and the color blue. I spend most of my time watching youtube, listening to music, drawing, and cycling between the same few games lol.

I'm 17 and go by she/they.

I have many interests; the main ones being ROBLOX, DreamSMP, Toontown Online/Rewritten, SpongeBob SquarePants, and The Owl House.

I dig music like jazz, hip-hop/rap, and breakcore.

I'm not much of a gamer. But, I like to draw, write original work and fanfictions, and if sleeping isn't a hobby, I don't know what is.

My only (open) social contacts is here and my Discord, which I only have people close to me on. My other social links are on my profile.

I'm not the best at socializing and pretty anxious, but I'm open-minded and willing to get along with anybody!

I’m plague, you can call me that or plaguewind, I don’t mind either! I go by she/they pronouns and am a minor, so I would prefer talking to those in the 14-17 age range, although I can make exceptions! I do own a discord, but I don’t really want it to be public, so if you’re interested in becoming friends please dm!

I’m not particularly active on TH, and use ChickenSmoothie and Discord a lot more. My time zone is EST but I can be found on in the late evenings and early mornings, as well as throughout the day so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Art is definitely one of my main interests, I’ve been trying to draw at least a little something everyday :> some other interests are MCYT (mainly the beeduo and sbi), Minecraft but bedrock only :’), reading (love my horror and true crime stories >:]) , entomology, biology and psychology, the creepy crawlies, and webtoons. I’ve been trying to get into animation and writing but have no idea where to start, so a mentor would be great ^^

I ramble a lot, and draw shitposts + memes a lot, so if you don’t want that please lmk >> I don’t wanna make y’all uncomfortable with that. Gift art will happen…a lot 

Music is great, I don’t really have a specific taste in music?? I like typically darker songs, like dizzy (missio), cryptid (Lucas lex) and trrst (ic3speak + zillakami) but listen to other songs like still don’t know my name (labrinth), drugs (upsahl) and heat waves (glass animals). 

I enjoy learning new things so if you ever want someone to just unload information on, I’m like the best lol

I may be inactive a bit in the fall (imp stuff happening) and beginning of summer (finals TwT), but I try to get in touch and talk a bit. As said b4 I ramble a looot and may end up talking with y’all a lot, please please please lmk if you dislike that chase I know it can be overwhelming sometimes.

i use she/they , and im currently & primarily interested in genshin , reading , and writing (outside of character design & creation) ! no solid taste in music either , so anything and everything goes for most media ! 

i tend to use emojis a lot or spam exclamation points , so do lmk if that's something you're not comfortable with ! otherwise , id prefer to talk with people around my same age group (14-17) !

i gush a lot , i think ? generally just rambling about characters or lore a ton , so idm if you do the same :D

hihi i've been thinking abt doing one of these for a while so


  • i do better in environments that aren't 1x1, so if you wanna drag me into a friend group go ahead
  • would prefer friends around 17-20 ! i am 19, for reference .
  • i am very bad at holding conversations or initiating them (hence the first point; i can build off of others' conversations easier)
  • not big on politics . look, i dont watch the news okay ? i don't care enough to .
  • i don't mind debates or sensitive subjects but if you can't respect my opinion(s) it's not gonna last long .
  • i like innuendos and puns . joking flirting may also occur once i'm more comfortable . if that makes you uncomfortable it'd probably be best if we don't interact .
  • i am terrible at picking up tone or hints . just be straightforward with me .
  • i swear . a lot . no slurs . just swears . so . y'know .
  • i also use 'stupid' and 'dumb' but more in a 'that's dumb' way than in reference to people .
  • if you use slurs don't message me .
  • i butcher the spelling of a lot of things . sometimes on purpose . sometimes by accident . i don't usually bother to correct myself . if you can't understand something feel free to ask me to repeat it .
  • if you're an 'all men should die' person don't even fucking message me .  
  • i am in university so expect low(er) activity during the fall & winter .
  • i use chatspeak / text talk in discord n games . please let me know if you're struggling to understand .
  • i ahve . anxiety . it's not as bad as it used to be bc i've got medication now but .

now that i've scared off people with that list i really like . minecraft (java) and resident evil . i will 100% play minecraft with u as long as it's like . chill . no factions or pvp or whatever . keepInventory is even better . i play on a laptop w trackpad so expect me to die a lot to mobs . not a fan of minigames . i will play modded too ! my laptop can handle both forge and fabric .

i've really only had the chance to play resident evil 5 but i really love some of the lore & characters ! 

i have . stardew (pc) . i don't really know how to play but i'll play multiplayer if ur patient with me, especially with the mines . and . animal jam ?? not big on it but i don't mind hanging out on it and harassing children in the pillow room . also if i get on a topic i like i can go on . for a long time . i like to talk about food . i don't know anything about cooking but food is tasty . and. dragon age inquisition . i haven't played in a really long time but i love the lore and creature designs .

i get distracted easily and am forgetful . i had more to write but tbh i forgot . i am comfortable sitting in a vc but i won't unmute .

ive been making ocs since before i even knew what an oc was. i have a ton of different oc universes but the majority of them went unused. my current one is Novus, which u can find on my profile. i work really hard on my characters so it would mean a lot to me if u checked it out. Cody is my main oc; i created him about 3 years ago and he ended up getting reused into my current oc universe. its still a wip but maybe take a look if ya want :)

honestly idk what to say abt myself personally,, i try my best not to be an annoying loser .,,,.,. i wanna learn programming and maybe get a job working on vidya gaems or something.

  • I'm currently studying in university and taking up BS Computer Science. I have an interest in programming! My other hobbies include gaming, watching anime/dramas/youtube vids, and reading. 
  • Some of the games I love are Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, Ace Attorney, Rune Factory, Summon Night, and other similar games . I also generally like playing visual novels and other otome games. I, unfortunately, also play gacha games (rip wallet). I'm actively playing Genshin Impact (Asia Server) and Alchemy Stars.
  • For shows and the like, I usually watch asian dramas or anything interesting I find on Netflix. I usually love romance, comedy, mystery, psychological thriller shows.
  • I also really love talking about OCs and making headcanons <3
  • I always do my best to respond, but in case I don't for a while, I'm probably busy with school in general (most likely my thesis orz).

I would definitely love to talk to anyone with similar interests! I have a discord that I can PM if ever. I would prefer to talk to people who are at least 18.

I love drawing / crafting / writing / creature design and anything artistic really, though I'm not good at making music. I spend a lot of my time focused on animals, I have 3 ducks right now and a garden, but one day I hope to have a whole farm. I have a webcomic so it would be cool to talk to somebody else into that kinda stuff for mutual motivation. Uhh....I am an AVID texter I always have my phone around whether it be because I'm playing stupid phone games or scrolling tumblr so somebody else who likes to ramble is welcome!
