You know a tip that's you're proud of, but you can't show to anyone around you? Or maybe you just want to share it with Toyhouse users? You can tell it here!

Can be for anything: Toyhouse, art, writting, video game or passion, really everything that crosses your mind as long it's not NSFW or hateful/aggresive.

Have fun!

If you ever run into a mountain lion, bring your hands above your head and make yourself bigger. They get intimidated.

Shaking a can half full of pennies also apparently scares them away.

When breaking up a dog or cat fight, you should grab the legs of both animals and pull them away to destabilize them. It is called the wheelbarrow method.

If a dog/cat won’t release its grip, grab a leash or something and wrap it around the attacker’s neck to cut its air supply. Animals will always take oxygen over another bite. But once the animal releases stop doing this immediately.

I’ll never forgot the day I saw someone shove a pole in a pointer’s jaw to get it to release the grip of a staffy at the place I work at. The dog had the other dog by the neck and even with 3 people attempting to pry the dog off, it wouldn’t release.

These methods work with any breeds or sizes, btw. A lot of people assume only people with pits or rotties need to know how to separate a fight but the truth is any animal of any breed can fight.

This thread may look random but fr I learn so good tips what the heck

Scottie

Making a mix of oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and some other spices to your liking and putting it in a plastic bag, then placing in chicken and veggies (potatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots are all good options) to squish around in the mix, then baking at 425F until chicken is done, is an AMAZING meal prep. Versatile, tasty, stores well. I love it

Frozen produce is just as nutritionally valid as fresh, can be used in almost any situation where you'd use fresh AND can be incorporated into desserts, and stores better than fresh

Meal prep, man. Takes the stress off of ya

If you're in school, put yourself out there if you care about the subject matter. Talk to your profs/TAs, go to office hours, ask questions. Profs love that and will be more willing to help you if you show you're engaged in the material.

Savory pancakes are very much a thing and very yummy. My favorite is mixing diced tomatoes and shredded parmesan and cheddar into the raw batter, and serving alongside fried summer sausage.

Snails are an AMAZING first time aquarium pet. Very versatile and hardy, and honestly dang cute to watch. And if you have an algae bloom, they'll happily eat it!

Similarly, amaryllis and marimoes (water moss balls) are great no-upkeep plants

If you use Microsoft Edge, always make sure your History is up by the spot you'll usually find your browser extentions. If you accidentally close the entire window when you have a bunch of tabs open, you can get them all back in one click.

General guide for image resolutions & their usage:

72ppi - web display, most screens only display up to 72ppi & the pics only get crunchy when zoomed in (or on an UHD screen).

300ppi - printing, generally considered the least you should go to avoid compression on printed pics + 400ppi/dpi prints don't that different to most people

400ppi and up - Upscaled prints (large banners, posters, etc). Reccomended for archiving & working on pics for print (easier to scale down than scale up) 400ppi's considered the minimum for this use, 600ppi's usually the standard

If your phone gives you a corrupted error message restart in whatever your phone's safe mode is - chances are its one of your third party apps that really really hates the newest update on your phone.

- If you're scared of horror media but you feel the urge to consume it, even though you know it's going to keep you up at night/make you feel jumpy.... Search it up and expose yourself to textual spoilers so you end up knowing what happens next without freaking yourself out as much and also not want to actually consume it.

- If you see a character you really like, keep its tab open on your device and come back to it every few days. If you still want it after a week then go for it. This technique makes you consider if you will actually use it or if you will just end up abandoning it, and helps to keep your toyhouse clutter-free.

- a faster, less comprehensive technique is asking yourself: I'll I actually use this character in my story/do I know what a general idea of their concept would be/do I just like its colour scheme or design elements?

Almost forgot, if you have triggers you want to check any movie/TV show for, search up the show/movie on https://www.doesthedogdie.com/ and search for your triggers.

If you're in the habit of saying "sorry" as a knee-jerk response to everything, train urself to say something to the effect of "thank u" or "whoops" depending on the situation. Save ur apologies for when they r truly needed. Every1 will like u more including and especially you. (u can do it!)

For anyone just starting on electric: Loop ya guitar lead thru ur strap before u plug it in. That way if you step on the lead it won't get unplugged in the middle of your epic solo. I've also seen folks forget this onstage before to awkward consequences.

No vocal booth? No problems—a closet is surprisingly good place for recording really clean vox in because the clothes eat all the reverb.

Cant year ur own voice over the noise? Press that lil bit of your ear (tragus iirc?) in against ur ear hole to block the noise + hear what's going on inside ur skull, literally.

Wanna share a song w ur band real quick but ur phone speaker's not loud enough+u don't have stuff to connect it to a speaker? Hold your phone to ur guitar pickups 2 make it come thru ur amp.

Oh yeah also Windows key + period brings up athe emoji picker on Windows in case u didn't know.

Windows key + D brings up ur desktop

Windows key + E brings up file explorer
