Do you have image favorites enabled for your characters?

I do! Or so I think at least lmao 

If you do, do you enjoy receiving image favorites?

Every fave is a donation to my serotonin bank but in all honesty OC faves > art faves any day, as I don't consider TH an art site as much as it's an OC site

Roughly how many people you follow have image favorites enabled? Half? The majority? Hardly any of them at all?

I DON'T KNOW ACTUALLY but usually if I click to see the full pic they don't have them enabled so I'd say half or even more

Do you favorite images you like provided image favoriting is enabled? If not, what's holding you back?

Most of the time I forget the function even exists, and I usually don't even click on the art posted? And it's because for art I simply prefer to follow the artists on their dA/twitter/similar site so I have most likely seen and faved the art already elsewhere

I just.... forget they exist really. And I feel weird faving stuff that isn't done by OP in the first place so I just don't. If I fave the character I might fave art too but never vice verse 

Could Toyhouse do anything to make you utilize image favorites more?

I'm not sure? Like I said, I view TH as an OC site and not really an art site per se so I don't really... know....

Absolutely! I guess to me, it means that someone noticed the art I uploaded, and liked what they saw!

Seems like not too many people I follow had it enabled, so I've since really stopped looking for it, because it's usually never there. ^^; Though I would love to fave certain images!

Normally I'll have the character faved too, but sometimes not. I'm a little picky about what I fave anyway, so I don't use it frequently, between that and most people I've encountered not enabling it.

I wish there was a place to view the images you've faved! So you can go back and enjoy them again later. (If there is such a place to access this, do let me know!)

  I really do! It interests me to see what people enjoy so much that they leave a fave, since its like you said, not a lot of people utilize the feature...

  Thinking about it, I usually see the majority of my watchers having them enabled (i follow almost 100 ppl). There's been times that I was shocked to see someone disable it, since i thiiiiiink? it's the default.

  oh gosh, i favorite something for all sorts of reasons. sometimes its 'cause the image was funny, sometimes its bc it is so skilled, sometimes its even because i just LOVE the character(s) depicted! ;v; and sometimes i don't fave because i feel like i will bug the owner of the image for spamming LOL (i only image fav-spam one person bc i know they appreciate it?? maybe?? lololo) but i do remember that lil button every time!!

  i will totally fav an image for any reason that feels right to me in the moment, there are times that i've realized way too late that i never had the actual character faved? but usually they're 1-for-1, i'll have the character faved and therefore i like the images in their gallery and want to fav them.

  it would be really cool if you could see who fav'd the image-- and if you could see what you had fav'd down the line (cause as it is rn it's just a little star button and not much else)... lol.
  i'm sure a feature that would take off would be something like: 'featured image' like how they used to do 'popular character' on the main page, but i'm.. kind of glad that's not a thing?? sometimes those 'featured' things can end up a little echo-chambery :|9 plus i do like focusing more on getting to the gristle of the character, on their info page/written text etc.

• If you don't, why not? Are they not very important to you? Are you concerned about favspam? Do you feel weird getting favs on art you didn't draw?
  Honestly the only reason I turned it off was because there was no way to browse favorites, and I got them very rarely except for my design sales, so it just seemed like a useless feature.

  I've honestly never noticed.

  I'd do it for art that's outstanding? Probably, but again I don't think there's a way to browse faved images so it's only half a feature as is.

  • As much as character favorites, but so few people do that, in the end I don't really care. The only I got so far was accidental since the count stayed at 0

  • Wow... honestly ? I have no clue ^^' I quickly checked and from the bunch I took, only one have it enabled.

  • No, not only because I forgot about it, but I think most people have it disabled and you can't keep track of your favorites anyway, so that a bit useless to me :/

  • Give it a bit more importance maybe ? but as people before me said, being able to browse them and see who faved just like litterature and characters themself would be a step !

How do I even turn that on?

RustHeart settings→ interactions & alerts→ under the 'Profile Interactions' section (far right) there is a dropdown menu for 'Image Favs'

RustHeart Go to Settings, then Interactions & Alerts! There are a bunch of notification things you can change on the right side!

Thanks both of you!  I turned it on as well as image comments now.

I enabled it out of curiosity (inspite me knowing that i'd probably never get any of my images fav'd haha-) But hey, i really appreciate it when someone fav one of my charas' image (It makes me wonder too on why would they favourite it   ) But i rarely use that feature. Either because i forgot it exists or the user doesn't enables it. I don't know how many people enables it n i don't mind it much
