What I mean by "underrated video game" is, a video game which is uncommonly known/talked about but that you like a lot.
For example, I really like Azure Striker Gunvolt (and its sequel), but I always find myself having to explain it because it's so uncommonly heard of. The songs are great, the characters are cool. (Especially Teseo. He's easily the most annoying, not th emost difficult, but most annoying, boss, and the game treats him as such. Which is great. I mean, the guy TALKS IN MEMESPEAK.)
This can also extend to fandoms.
Here's just a thread for you (and I) to share and maybe talk about these things I guess.
There are just two rules:
1. Please don't argue, especially not over how uncommonly known something is. I used to think that Warrior Cats was not something commonly talked about. Then I met DeviantArt. Point is, what are things that YOU think are underrated, not things that factually are underrated, because the definition of "underrated" connotates an emotional OPINION. Opinions, contrary to popular belief, are not facts and can be changed, with varying levels of difficulty.
2. Black out sensitive material and unsavory behavior, please. You can do this by setting the highlight and the text color to the same value. Yes, you must change both.

Crypt of the Necrodancer. Fun game with an awesome concept and a kickin' as hell OST.
Also Dark Cloud 2. God that game was a ton of fun, and I'm so glad I pre-ordered it back in the day.
Fire Emblem Radiant dawn. Prolly since it came out the same day as Mario Galaxy.
Also Food Fantasy. Best Mobile game since FE heroes
And voting on Mother/Earthbound. We still need the localization for Mother 3 Nintendo!

Hhhh I really like Haydee,,, even just the description on the official page gave me chills because of how different from other games it was. The phrase “be good, be Haydee” rocks me to my core every time. I usually don’t like shooter games but this one drew me in so hard. Haydee had no business being so thought-provoking. It’s such a good darn game, and not just because of my robot waifu.

MARDEK RPG. I think I'll always have a part of me that's sad it got abandoned. All three games are so good and amazing for free flash titles.
Also? Neopets: The Darkest Faerie. I didn't have a ps2 when it came out so I ended up playing it ten years later, and it really held up. I still replay it!
Endless Ocean: Blue World, aka the reason I still have my Wii. That game is just like heaven to me. Exploring underwater and petting fish while gentle music plays and a story unfolds? It's like a dream. Plus the soundtrack is done by Celtic Woman. I love Celtic Woman.
(Also shout out to the Guided Fate series, which I've never played but has the most criminally underrated soundtrack I've ever heard!)

also okami used to be this until recently bc judging by the charts in the eshop it seems to be doing well on switch now

they were going to make one with the original developer but it was cancelled
i think theyre still going to make a sequel with platinum games since they keep releasing merch for the game and also they keep making ports for it

it was probably overrated when it was released but now no one really talks about it anymore
i hope we get a sequel sometime with newer pokemon

its an rts but i dont care for the rts part
what i do care for however is the creature designer
its so much fun
u can combine two animals and choose which part is from which animal (ie legs, head, etc)
the results are often hilarious since its more realistic than cartoony graphics-wise
so u can easily end up with something that would fit in a cheesy syfy tv movie
but the biggest one for me is probably muramasa the demon blade
its like a dark fantasy sidescrolling action game set in medieval japan
it has one of my top fave game osts of all time
the visuals are gorgeous too
i hope it gets a switch port
