Inspired by @iBrBz's thread about TH generations, here is a thread about your join date!

Do you still remember how you were invited? What was the site like when you joined, and have things changed since then? Do you have any memorable TH moments or big updates you remember particularly well? Have you had any long hiatuses on the site? Feel free to share & add more of your own too if you wish!

As of today, I've been on TH for a year and a half. I could have come earlier but back when someone I knew on FB told me about TH, I was still unsure about the attitude of the community. Since my main project takes inspiration from... something that people usually don't look kindly upon and is involving in something terrible in RL, I tend to be paranoid about the exposure this project receives.

In the end, I got my code from a giveaway thread on Flight Rising and poked around the forums as soon as six hours. :'D (I have a habit to always check out forums on any site I joined to see what the community is like). My most favorite update is definitely the introduction of literature feature. This feature totally changes me; now whenever I HC something regarding my OCs, I don't just let it float around in my head and draw only one gag image corresponding to the idea anymore. Now I write those ideas down into fictions.

I've had an account here since February 2015. I totally forgot about it though until just a few months ago though.

Sorry I'm pinging you all (you dont need to reply) but @ 2014 invite code people: how did you get yours? Were you friends with the founding members or something else? Since I remember back then it was practically impossible to get a code so I'm super curious to know you you got your hands on them

Not long ago... Around late 2018 i forgot when mmmm

Caine my roommate was irl friends with the admins lol, so she passed me a code before anyone knew TH was a thing. My acct is literally a day older than the admin's. I didn't think much of it then, but it clearly blew up LOL

also the character tabs were at least partially my fault /swt

Joined on the 16th of December 2014! I don't even remember where I got my code at, but I do remember that I asked a random person for one on dA and they ended up giving me one. I also don't recall exactly how fast I found my way to the forums, but I'm gonna guess it was pretty early on.

Reading all posts here is so wonderful, I had forgotten about half the stuff on here. There were these many periods of time where the admins were just absent for months, sometimes years on end, so getting updates was really exciting at the time. Mods actually came back over some forum drama involving certain less... friendly users making a mess of the community so bad the admins had to step in.

Recently I was thinking of all the people who used to be active here in 2015. Many of them became inactive or straight up vanished! The community has definitely changed a lot for better and for worse, but it is what it is!

Edit: oh look, baby's first post was also inside baby's first thread! At least for as far as the records go, might be an earlier one in a now deleted thread.

2016! I've got my code from an old mutual on DA who was (thankfully) offering them for free.
