This boy. He's about $70 so far.
I didn’t see a thread like this, and I was curious, so here we are.
For the record, I'm asking about your character with the most expensive current value, not just the one with the most expensive initial price (although you could do either, it doesn't really matter).
I will only consider base worth but this baby is worth 200$ for just his base design ;v; if i'd spend more on commissions his worth would start going towards hellish number-
I stopped counting after he hit $500 in value lol
I created him myself as a D&D character, but I've gotten so much art of him now that his value has just skyrocketed! I also plan on getting a tattoo of him at some point so that will only up his value, but also make him absolutely priceless. Not like I ever plan to get rid of him!
Some honorable mentions include:
Hazel who I paid $175 for. He's at $200+ including his art at this point. Definitely worth it. I absolutely adore kitkaloid's designs and it's been a dream of mine to own one.
Naoki is priceless! But seriously I paid $90 for him a few years back and now with all the art and commissions, including this adorable plushie, He's got a lot of monetary value sunk into him
Himiko's MYO slot alone was $250. Looking back I feel kinda bad for spending that much, but I really love her and I wouldn't sell her.
Billy was a custom I got via OTA. $315. I was willing to spend that much back then, but now I don't think I'd be able to spend that much...
and finally anyone who is a Fydbac original design because Fyd is a professional and getting a custom character, especially with extra things like outfits etc, is expensive xD
I've spent roughly $850 on both Reinku and Kimiko so they have been my most expensive characters so far <3
Reinku's design was $30 and Kimiko I designed so all their other value comes from art/ literature
Being one of the immensely few characters I've actually bought, much less gotten paid art for, this fella would be my most expensive
Definitely this guy, he's at about $100 USD now in terms of value and I plan to slowly sink more money into him. Honestly if I had the money, he'd have a LOT more commissioned art and a plush
