Q: How do they feel about being touched? Is it different between partners, friends, family, and strangers?
i went with Quil for this one, because it seems to me that he's the type to hang onto shit for a long time, and for that he needs to, yknow, remember what happened in the first place. i don't know if his memory was always good, but he certainly would have trained it up, if for no other reason than that he wanted to remember the ways he'd been wronged so that he could take something away from those experiences, whether it's a hard-learned lesson about the way the world is, or a reason to exact revenge down the road.
Quil is absolutely not going to let anyone he doesn't want to touch him, to do so. he is extremely mistrusting of strangers. in the right (or wrong) mood, if someone tried to touch him unbidden, he'd lose his shit on them - he'd swear and he'd swat and generally be explosive. there's also the chance that he'd be a little more polite about it - though, again, he'd express his discomfort in no uncertain terms( probably just "Don't touch me" or something, in a stern but calm tone); he's not the type to soften blows or anything to that effect.
given his relationship with the vast majority of his family, the same is more or less true for them, with the exception of Luadiira and possibly his father. he loves Luadiira so terribly much, and he never had a problem with her initiating any physical contact. he'd give just about anything to be able to hug her again. when it comes to his father - Quil has a complicated and strained relationship with him, but generally still wished they could have been closer.
with friends, it's a little more variable, on a person-to-person basis. generally speaking, brief friendly contact - a playful shove, a pat on the back, a very quick hug - is fine with him, but there are some friends he'd be far more comfortable with touching him than others. he enjoys a sort of friendly rivalry-type roughhousing from time to time, and wouldn't be all too picky about it, but he's far more selective with who he lets hug him, for example.
the one case in which Quil would almost never mind being touched by someone would be if he felt the sort of genuine connection that one would have with a romantic partner, or something close to that. if he's comfortable enough with someone that he'd be willing to get into an intimate relationship with them, then as a default state he's comfortable with physical contact in most forms. it would be more odd for him to ask them not to touch him when they tried to, in this case - it'd probably mean he was internally freaking out about something, or otherwise unwell at the moment.
