(Apologies if this thread have been created but why didn't I have ideas for threads when I still had my premium/search button lol)
So! One of my favorite part of a character design is them having a certain design trait or accessory (or just anything like hairstyle, clothing, item, etc) that are strongly associated with a character--they wear/hold them most of the time regardless of outfits, situations (or heck, you can spot it even if the character appears as a silhouette) or they absolutely have that as a part of their character and it's either rare or looks strange if they are seen without one? As one would say, well, their "signature" or "trademark" in a form of design.
Do share as many characters as you want here, I'd love to know! (Also feel free to share if the said design trait is just an extra addition to their design or have a certain story or reason to them)
Prime examples would be: Any form of hats, plushes, hair clips/necklace/bracelets, maybe the character is always seen with a ponytail? And many others
Ptashka's flight feathers are cut off, which doesn't allow her to soar into the sky. It's always been like this and there's nothing can do about it.
I feel like their GLOWING BLUE EYES/TATTOOS definitely count. they have a stolen psychic implant in their head and one of the side effects is glowing eyes.
they got tattoos to match because they're an absolute nerd beside that.
I feel like in theory they should be able to turn this off--wouldn't glowing lights in your face make it hard to sleep?? But they don't because it's my trademark
Jaibo Kamiya: His star face tattoos, it is a symbol of his decision to forgo caring too much about his appearance as other's do. If a couple of piercings and tattoos make him a delinquent then so be it.
Cervantes Medina: Purple snapback and prayer beads around their neck. The prayer beads are ominous feeling as soon as you touch them as if all the world's fear is dump into them.
Micah Hakimi: Hockey Mask covered in mysterious red stains, it was his first mask that he ever crafted and wears it as a way to start a conversation. Unfortunately it backfires and causes unintentional intimidation.
I’d definitely say that Levi’s traits are his hair, ears, and nose ring. Maybe not so much nose ring and ears, but his hair is most recognizable to me.
I don’t see many ocs with hair that just... poofs up real big in spikes. I do, on the other hand, see characters with long ears and nose piercings. That’s my personal experience though haha
