We live in strange times, dear readers. Mere weeks ago, we greeted the legacy known as She, a massive feline, a guardian, and a mother. While initially a bit under the weather (or over it, if you will), she's in a much better mood now that she's been reunited with her kittens, Comfort, Quiet, and Company! She and her entourage have been roaming the valley, keeping a watchful eye over us. Their most frequent haunt is a predictable one: the southern end of the valley. It's here, through the trench of trees and bamboo, where a new hole in the Valley Effect has formed. This allows us to see something we have not for hundreds of years: beyond the valley we call home. Many, in fact, theorized that such a place outside our little bubble did not exist! To their credit, it was a fair assumption, almost impossible to prove otherwise. But, readers, I once again come to you with news of exciting, undeniable evidence
For the first time since at least 909, as The Year Stone tells us, the woods do not loop around kekin attempting to traverse them. Well, in one specific area, at least! At the end of this natural tunnel of flora, there is a whole new world out there. How big? We're not sure. A few exploratory parties of brave, brave scouts have already embarked, setting up temporary camps to servery just how safe this Out Valley place is. We'll keep you up to date, friends! But, as it slithers, we are not in danger. In fact, the few unfamiliar animals and plants that have greeted us thus far have been either friendly or uninterested in our noble adventurers. These are promising signs and we hope to see more!
"You can just...leave" Said Millie, a Villa Isle resident interviewed only a day after the new Valley Effect hole's creation "The door's just open...". While true, local authority strongly advises that the traveler-to-be not pack their bags just yet. There's many important details about our surroundings that we still lack.
