Adebowale Branch 35 \| he/him \| Order Mage \| moodboard Inexperienced Mage Protector Call him Ade or Branch! Where is he? Lives in Namarast, but travels often as the Order demands. Could be found anywhere in Ivras. What's his deal? Born in Nymene, and desperate to return to his homeland, even though they'll never have him. Has been bashing his head against barriers the Order has created to keep him away from Nymene. Studious, ambitious, thoughtful. In love with magic. Frustrated with the constraints of the order and determined to be free. What's he looking for? Friends within and without the Order! Mentors and mentees; he has been a teaching assistant for many years within Namarast, and only recently moved to field work. He's lived in Namarast for at least 20 years, and could easily know most anyone there. What about romance? He's single and ready to mingle,,,, Ade is gay, and only interested in men / masc-aligned people. Hugely powerful necromancer who took to the seas on her pirate ship Trespasser, and is now terrorizing the civilized world. Jolly, animated, charismatic, brutal. Loves to love and be in love. Hungrily experiences the world. What's she looking for? Crew members, rivals, enemies, and interesting people to talk to across the continent. Vidar is a villain but loves to learn and see new things, and finds value in speaking to anyone who may have something interesting to teach her. What about romance? Vidar has a wife and an ex-boyfriend and neither one cares how many more boyfriends and girlfriends she acquires. Long-term, committed relationships unlikely but she's always down for dalliance.
Marie-Victoire Tromel 36 \| she/her \| Non-Mage \| moodboard Tavern owner, Crime lord Call her Vivi or MaryVicky Where is she? Lives in Faline, in the Beggar and Flagon Inn, which she owns. What's her deal? The beloved illegitimate daughter of a nobleman, Vivi lost everything when her rich father died unexpectedly. Used her business acumen and social prowess to become the empress of secrets in Faline, and runs a criminal empire trading information and stolen goods from the Beggar and Flagon Inn. Brilliant, stupid, and completely intolerant of any form of discomfort. What's she looking for? Connections, clients, exes, juicy drama, enemies she's burned in the past, rival kingpins, literally anything. I love this stupid llama and I'd love her to meet more people. What about romance? Despite all appearances, Vivi is happily married to her gross pig husband. This doesn't stop her from convincing well-meaning suitors of her misery so that she can seduce them and take their money. Always looking for marks!	Dogan 60 \| they/them \| Hidden Mage \| moodboard Blacksmith, healer, hermit Call them Dogan. Fuck Where are they? Lives on a remote farm where the grassland meets the Sunless Jungle. They've been there forever. What's their deal? Hedgewitch who has kept a generation of peace between the villagers and the wild clans surrounding their land. Is hated by both sides, but provides healing and magic metalwork regardless. Meaner than snakebite but unable to keep themselves from giving to the people around them; owner of a secret compassionate streak despite their cynicism and abrasive exterior. What're they looking for? Neighbors, fellow witches, apprentices. Travelers that may have passed their farm, fellow craftsmen to discuss the trade with, anybody who might find themselves stranded near their desolate patch of earth. What about romance? They're the meanest and most guarded old bastard in Ivras. I wouldn't count on it.
"Roaring" Gore Prothero 43 \| they/them \| Non-Mage \| moodboard Bartender, bouncer, thief, ex-pirate Call them Prothero. Where are they? Lives in Faline, in the Beggar and Flagon Inn, where they work. What's their deal? A former Navy sailor who became a pirate aboard the ship Clinkscales, captained by Brass Buckler. They helped lead the ship into an era of notoriety and prosperity, but after a disaster that made them lose faith in their captain, they attempted a mutiny and failed, disappearing into the night and winding up in Faline. Years later, they are a staple at the Beggar and Flagon Inn, working for their friend and the Inn's mistress, Marie-Victoire. They're the meanest bartender in the world. What're they looking for? They usually collect debts owed to their boss; any enemies of Marie-Victoire's are enemies of theirs. Navy acquaintances and people they'd know from their time at sea are very welcome! So are business contacts, fellow criminals, or any regulars at the Beggar. What about romance? Prothero is terminally single, both because they want to and because they're the worst. Sometimes they'll have a quick one-and-done hookup with masc-aligned patrons at the Beggar, but that's not exactly romance.	Professor Gajra 72 \| they/them \| Order Mage \| moodboard Librarian, enchanter, archivist Call them Gajra, Professor, or Grandpa : ) Where are they? They live in Namarast, and rarely leave What's their deal? Gajra was brought to the Order as an infant many years ago. They grew up in the Order, working as an enchanter, then a professor, then a librarian, and now as one of the senior Archivists in Namarast's extensive libraries. They grant access to restricted sections of the archive for research, and know most every student in the Order. They are a gossipy old grandpa who has seen, done, and covered up some dark things in the name of protecting the Order status quo. What're they looking for? Anything!!!!!!! Gajra knows everyone in the Order, and is very much part of the establishment at Namarast, with all the controversy that entails. They're friendly but a bit of a gossip and they tend to follow the Order's rules. If you're looking for a classic Order mage, they're the one. What about romance? Please date grandpa. Open to relationships past and present! Gender is not a factor, but any partners should be close in age to Gajra.
