Beatrice (Human) kafkaesque

I don't think my reply is particularly long, but I'm spoilering it nonetheless since there are (non-graphic) implications + mentions of self-harm!! also, there's a brief mention of emeto if that's a concern. please tread with caution if toggling this box!!

You bet your sweet ass that Beatrice dragged her not-son - well, her and Rochester's not-son - over to the nearest clinic after she read the latest batch of works that he gave her.

In hindsight, maybe the journalist should've realized that something was very, very wrong sooner. And the fact that she didn't, until now, was causing her to mentally kick herself in the ass while she glanced over at the youth and gave him a deep frown, one that emanated concern but also ended up emphasizing the wrinkles on her face.

"I know that this is a bit sudden, but it's for your best interest," she then drawled to him with a furrowed brow, "I don't expect anything particularly revolutionary overnight, or even in that short of a term, but..." Beatrice trailed off to carefully rub her temples. How could I? Thoughts ran through her head again while she struggled to remember what he had written in those papers- The ones that weren't even that long ago, judging by how freshly marked they seemed; it would've been a different story if they were faded out, with the words prone to being lost to time thanks to how even the most modern of graphites and inks tended to gradually fade...

After a period of silence, Beatrice grunted in an attempt to reassure Black, "But... That asides... If it makes you feel any better, this isn't going to be a formal check-in by any means. I know you've been doing well under myself and my wife-" Was he now? Would he have written something like that if he was "doing well?" What if you're just making things worse? "Uhhh..." she muttered while adjusting the brim of her sunhat, which she refused to take off even when indoors.

"... You're certainly not fine if you're writing about sitting in your own vomit, as well as using coffee to... Well..." She trailed off again, if only because she suspected that the subsequent words would've been obvious for the both of them. Beatrice did, however, step up to the other party and carefully eyed his expression - not that she expected him to lash out at her by any means, but just in case... "I figured for a while that there was something troubling you, but in all honesty... I never expected it to be this serious. And no, once more, don't tell me that you're fine. You're clearly not, and I'm starting to get worried. Each time you say that, I only get more so."

Then she leaned back in her seat, only occasionally moving her hand over to the comfort blanket she had allowed Black to bring along for his sake. In all honesty, Beatrice was having second thoughts about bringing him over in the first place, because she had the sinking feeling that this entire appointment was just making things worse for the very charge she was supposed to protect. Not just for Rochester's sake, but for her own as well-

"I'm not trying to discourage you from writing out your emotions, of course," Beatrice also clarified with a wave of her hand, "In fact, I'd rather have you indulge in that over... More harmful methods of venting. Hurting yourself, if I want to be more direct." She paused, both tensely and awkwardly. "I'm just going to make sure the physical signs are at least decent, and then that's it. Nothing formal. No admissions, no complicated therapy session." Beatrice sat there, blinking. "Okay? I mean... Are you all right with that, sir?"

@ NP: apologies for the copy-paste from the last time I posted as her, but... I like being consistent in my notes fgbegbeb- also!! feel free to go for her middle-aged version if you want, but please lmk so that I can respond appropriately!!

middle-aged Beatrice would likely end up in the hospital to visit a patient who's relevant to an ongoing investigation, or just... beaten up from picking on someone who turned out to be stronger than anticipated. feel free to go wild with the gore and severity if hurting Beatrice; she's rather resilient, though, so it takes a lot to faze her both physically and mentally.

default Beatrice is similar, except that she could also end up in the hospital for more menial injuries. it's also easier for her to get seriously injured due to her age and therefore decrease in strength, but she'll still act standoffish and defiant if offered help. try not to go too crazy with the gore if hurting this version of Beatrice. she may still be a tiny bit aggressive, but she's definitely a bit more restrained and would back down from a fight if she knows she's not going to win it.

I'll also try my best to do a follow-up for NP or ELSE.

Silver PolarisStorm

Spoiled for a single mention of suicide.

As soon as Silver saw Beatrice walk in, his usual goofy grin grew somewhat wider as he bolted to her and chirped, “Hey, buddy! I’m guessing you’re here to interview a patient? Huh, I haven’t really seen any criminals… But hey, I’m not any Raven Carter, so what do I know about criminals? The only patient we really have that stood out to me is someone in a really strange costume that’s in here for a bad hangover, but I suppose that doesn’t matter much…” Silver trailed off and held his hands together, before saying, “Oh, before you go see whoever you need to… Can I ask how Black is? Has he said anything about me recently? I wouldn’t be surprised if he hasn’t, to be honest… Last time we met, I broke down in front of him. My friend had just committed suicide when I was on his doorstep, and Black said it was okay to cry, but… I have a feeling it wasn’t. I don’t normally like crying in front of people, I feel like it makes them upset and not want to talk to me. Black probably doesn’t want to talk to me anymore because of that…” Silver’s grin grew somewhat sad, as he glanced down and said, “Sorry. As long as he’s okay, I’m fine… You go do what you’re here to do, alright?”

Silver is an emergency physician, so he can be found working at his hospital's ER! Other than that, he can be in there for anything a normal person would be in there for, just nothing too severe, please!

Purcell Prisme Rorichi

Hospitals always made Purcell nervous so he tried to avoid them at any cost. But today was different. He just had no other choice! His sister, his cute precious extremely clumsy and annoying sister had broken a hand. What time was it? 36th or maybe 37th... Oh no! She had broken her left hand 36t time, this time she broke her right one! Whatever...Purcell had stopped really counting long ago. But even though his sister had a tendency to break something(be it just a random thing or a part of her own body) every single day, the older cupid still worried about his sister. And that's what led two cupids to that Silver guy.

"Ouchie!" His sister's pained squeak made Purcell shift uncomfortably on his seat as he glared daggers at the silver-haired doctor putting on a cast on the girl's hand. That doctor...he seemed like a nice person, doing his best not to hurt the other cupid even more, but there still was something that made Purcell nervous - those blue eyes, they stared right into his soul! Oh wait, he was just paranoid because of stuff wearing off. Shit! Hopefully that doctor was too focused on his sister to notice Purcell's strange state...

np: Purcell is most likely to get in hospital because of overdose, but it can be something else too, like an injury or smth~

Dr. Nicolai Ivanovich Kozlov RaikaiRan

(my english wiritng isn't the best x,D)

Nicolai shook his head. He looked down at the file he'd received a few minutes ago. Another patient with an overdose. Lately the incidents have increased. He was worried that a lot of people could get drugs so easily nowadays. The blood values were anything but healthy. Nicolai wondered what the man had in his blood. According to his first assessment, he should have been dead. But his heart was still beating and he breathed as if he was just sleeping.

Nicolai glanced at the man on the bed. He swallowed the first words he wanted to speak down his throat. Accusations wasn't going to help his patient either. "Then let's see how I can help you."  He took the man's right arm in his hand and connected the vein with a tube. "Purifying your blood will take hours," he grumbled.

____________________________________________________________________________________________

Nicolai has a heart disorder. maybe that's why he is in the hospital :D

Vapor

"Nearly keeled over, hm?" Flavio found poor Nicolai... well, not dead, and not even nearly dead, but it certainly felt that way during all of the panic of dragging him to the clinic. Fortunately for himself, Flavio's own heart settled, beating slowed to calm. He cautiously studied the man seated across from him, praying silently to all twenty gods, glancing for only a moment into Nicolai's pale eyes.

"If there's any bright side to this, it's that you're still upright." he pointed out, "When I saw you, I thought for sure you would've had a stroke, or a heart attack, or something. They said your blood pressure was through the roof, anyway, so goodness knows what might have happened should your ass hadn't been hauled this way..." He trailed off a moment, watching as the overseeing nurse scuttled in and out of the room, papers in tow. He honestly wasn't used to such a... high-tech environment. The beeping, the squealing of machines, the bright lights... It was going to give him a headache, he knew it.

In fact, Flavio felt a headache coming on. The man, fatigued, leaned back and pressed the back of his hand on his temples, and then rubbed at his eyes. Maybe his wife was right. Maybe he should have carried those damn herbal pills with him, in case something like... this happened. Something stressful, something migraine-inducing.

"They'll take good care of you, but I'm sure you know that already. I hope you do." Flavio sighed. At last, he hoisted himself from his seat off to the side of the small room. Annoyingly small. They were both massive men, so it was probably a good idea for one of them to skedaddle.

"I'll bring you something small." he said, "I don't think it'd do you any good to eat fast food, or anything real spicy, but... I'll get something." He figured a cut of citrus fruit would help, but alas alas, despite his own developments in scientific fields...

..Flavio was an idiot. Citrus fruit can mess with blood pressure medications.

"Just stay right there, it'll take me about a second." Flavio approached the door, holding it open for the residing nurse. He mumbled something to her, before addressing Nicolai again, "I'll get you some dried grapefruit, maybe. I'll wait out in the lobby for... you know, when you're not dead."

maybe i'll follow-up? feel free to ping me!

 Zero confusedthing

(Vapor since you did not put any information I'm just going with the migraines and insomnia he has according to his bio and exhaustion!)

Hospitals were odd places, weren't they? Well, maybe more from the perspective of a reaper than from anyone else's but... they were just fascinating. So many souls leaving this world, some just entering, others still fighting for their connection. He could not say if he was more happy for the new souls or sad for the ones that had to go... anyway, the one he had accompanied here would certainly stay for a little longer.
But the man had almost fallen over due to exhaustion and did not seem in good shape, so the next reasonable thought had been to bring him to a hospital. There they were now, Flavio laying on one of the beds to rest and Zero just sitting next to it, waiting for the man to regain enough consciousness to talk to the doctors. It was a bit of a strange situation, but since he had brought him here he felt somewhat responsible for him and it seemed like the nurses were happy about it, in a way. He would stay until everything was settled, it just felt like the right thing to do.

"You are at a hospital now." he explained. "They have given you a mild pain medication but need to know about any allergies before they can help you further." that was something he never had to deal with before, since there was no such thing as pain medication when he was still alive. Not that he remembered... he just remembered when the first ones were invented. After herbal blends... that did work to some extent, of course. But modern medicine was quite fascinating. "Please let me know if I can get you anything." Zero added with a friendly smile. From now on he would stay quiet again, to not disturb Flavio's rest. It did appear like the thing he needed most...

(Aaah it's fine though, I like it!)

Also spoiler bc death.

He looked at Xeraleus when she mumbled something. Letting people die, huh? Funny thing to say... "You were not that close." he commented. "So I'm afraid the soonest you would have died is of dehydration." Of course he could have just let her lay there... or not commented on this, but it just... bugged him if people spoke like that of life. Even if they would return, it still lacked a certain respect that he deemed adequate. He did understand though... he just did not share that opinion.
"Your bike is fine." Zero replied with a friendly smile. Not to promote anything illegal but there surely was a way to get out of bills...

(I always forget that there are countries where you literally get a hospital bill. ;v;)

Xeraleus Keri

A lot of casual death mentions, also im not the best at writing sorry ;w;

Xera opened her eyes. She wasn't dead. She tried to move around when the pain finally hit her. She managed to tilt her head and look around the room. There was quite a few people around. Patients, nurses.
"Damn, I think I broke a lot of bones this time around..." She sighed. "Man, they really should've just let me died if they saw I was this hurt. Now I'll just die to hospital bills instead."
Who even brought her here? She was on a motorcycle ride by herself, and she knew most passersby would ignore her at best if not steal her stuff first. She looked around once more, discarding the pain. A man stood quietly not so far from her. Didn't look like a nurse nor a patient. He probably wasn't visiting anyone either, standing by himself like that. He looked interesting, and stood out from everyone even if he didn't grab much attention. And he looked exactly like the kind of weirdo who would bring her to the hospital.
"Hey you, did ya bring me here? Y'know if my bike is aight?" She asked the person closest to her in a tired, raspy voice, not exactly in the happiest tone either. She really was annoyed. She has died a couple of times in the past and it's not like she enjoyed dying and the whole process after that, but unless she was super unlucky that would have been more pleasant than a hospital. And way cheaper.

@ np she probably crashed her bike or got into a fight, if she's not a patient then maybe her girlfriend got hurt, also feel free to ping, might do a follow-up?

Ccrino RainandFriends

tw, mentions of getting stabbed and blood

julydreamzzz finally finished! If you wanna do a follow up don't be afraid to dm me for some info if ya need it :)

Alaunus sighed, looking at his recent patient. He didn't know what to say. Ccrino here seemed to have had a sword stabbed through his chest, and he lost a lot of blood. He was aware of the other people that Ccrino came with. Polaroid got a knife through the shoulder, Rain had many holes through their chest, although it was too big to be bullets. Golden, Phobi, and Kokichi had the same glowing red knives in their chests. It was something, to say the least.

Ccrino's eyes fluttered open, and Alaunus's expression turned surprised. He didn't expect the patient to wake up, especially since he was declared dead a bit ago. 'that's something' he thought to himself. "...oh my god I've been kidnapped by a tv...." The patient muttered. "Oh hey wait,, where's Rain, Dust, and Reaper? I was just with them.. wait, where's Mango?" During that last sentence, Ccrino tried to sit up causing Alaunus to say "I advice you to not do that.." before Ccrino did it anyways. Ccrino's eyes widened and he started to shake a bit, the pain in his stomach was...well, painful. Alaunus's worried expression turned into a more calm one. "We should have some tylenol or ibuprofen, I'll go get some." The tv guy said, walking out.

Ccrino looked around the strange room he was in. Why was he here? Wasn't everything gone? Wasn't he dead?? He was just with Reaper, Dust, and Rain in the afterlife. How is he here?? He sighed, which hurt his stomach even more. He tried to remember what happened, and surprisingly enough he did. The sound of a door creaking open interrupted his thoughts, and the tv head came back in with a cup of water and something in his hands. "Here, take this." Mr tv man said, handing him the glass and what Ccrino found out to be pills. He obliged, swallowing the pills. The tv guy pulled up a chair from the table next to him and grabbed the clipboard he placed on the table. "How do you feel?" Tv head asked.

The patient, Ccrino, shrugged. "Kinda weird I guess..?" He answered. Alaunus sighed a bit, then carried on. "Do you know what happened to you and the others?" He asked him. Ccrino's eyes widened as he mouthed 'others?' Alaunus nodded. "A group of three came in with you, Rain, Golden, Kokichi, Polaroid, and Phobi. I'm assuming you know them?" He asked. Ccrino nodded, his widened expression not going away. "As I thought. Are you aware of what happened?" Alaunus asked again. "Uh..yea..?" Ccrino started. He started thinking, and then carried on. "Rain and I were being controlled by this dude named knife, and we were fighting our friends. I was forced to throw my knives into three of my friends, which controls them. so they started fighting the others as well if I'm not mistaken. Then, Mango and I were surrounded by darkness?? I was forced to say things that weren't true, then Horror stabbed me and I died." Ccrino said. Alaunus couldn't hide his shock. He wasn't expecting this.

"You said you had to throw knives into your friends? Did they happen to be red and glowy?" The tv head said. Ccrino thought about it. "Uh, maybe?" He then held out his hand, and a giant fully red and glowing knife appeared. "Oh, yup! Why do you ask?" The tv guy looked shocked. "I..uhm.." he then cleared his..throat? "Those were the knives stuck in some of your friends." Ccrino unsummoned his knife and turned away from the tv, his breathing started to jitter. "I didn't mean it.." he muttered out.

Due to the patient's stuttered breathing, Alaunus knew he was crying. "I get it. It wasn't your fault. Your friends will be fine, okay?" He said, trying to comfort his patient. Ccrino wiped his tears and nodded. "Yea..!" He said. Alaunus smiled, then stood up. "You're probably hungry. I'll get you some food." He said. Ccrino smiled and nodded as Alaunus walked out of the room.

And thus, the beeping grows louder. In the pool of his dreams, the various shades of colors and words, the noise increases in volume over and over. It's almost like a melody, a song and he can practically hear Kurt Cobain's raspy voice behind it, singing tales of grandmothers and royal teas. Eventually, the world the he went to during rest begins to fade as his eyes open, well--the good one, anyway. Surrounding him is pristine, clean; the only terms he could use to describe the setting. White walls, a white ceiling and the smell of antiseptic were present, overwhelming. And the beeping; the reoccurring noise, that was...???

He turns his head to see a bed beside the one he lays in. There's a girl there, wrapped away in blankets, only her face revealed in their heap. She wears an oxygen mask and her hair is messily tied back. There's bandages on her face, wrapping her cranium and they're stained with blood. He recognizes her pretty quickly and remembers why he was even here in the first place. Roxanne. They weren't the closest of 'friends', but did he really have those, anyway? She'd gotten hurt and he'd not only taken her to the hospital, but stayed with her. Leaving her alone just didn't seem right, especially considering the state she was in. If he knew she'd get this banged up from fighting...whatever that was; he might've done something before letting her do it.

"When you wake up-" He speaks to the beeping of her heart monitor, knowing well it won't do much. "We're going to get the biggest cone of ice cream in the world."

Zinkyzor

Jim fiddled with his fingers... he had hurt another being... luckily it didn't result in death this time... he darted his red eyes from the heart moniter back to Cyrus and finally spoke " you probably can't hear me . . . Worst case scenario... but im sorry... I didn't mean to hurt you this bad " Jim just shuffled in his seat hoping Cyrus would wake soon

Jack Karypto

Jack stared at Jim. He just stared at him while Jims red eyes stared back at Jack. They scilently stared at each other. "If I were able to move without having immense pain, I'd instantly choke ya" Jack said slowly. "I will burn this place to ashes" Was what Jim said. "Ya can't. Ya burned your arms and can't move. As well as I can not move" Jack puffed. "... I know..." Jim said slowly. They both just lied in their beds. Staring at each other, not being able to move a single bit. "But... I.... I didn't do anything bad... Nobody died" he said. Jack simply sights in mental pain. "Not this shi* again! Please I need another room! I've been hearing all this for half a day now!

Stephen Moonleaf

Jack and Stephen walked somewhat separately towards the large sliding hospital doors. Why they were going there Stephen was not sure, and was almost certain Jack was not either. All he knew was they were headed to room 217, which was somewhere upstairs. As they walked, Jack attempted to spark conversation multiple times, but Stephen ignored him. After the pizza shop experience, he did not want to talk to a person unless it was important. The other person turned out to be quite nice, but what if Jack wasn’t? Luckily, Jack soon got annoyed and frustrated because Stephen wasn’t talking, and they walked upstairs in silence. However, when they got to the top of the staircase they realized they did not know where any of the actual rooms were- all they could see were hallways and one room. “Well, I saw that the room numbers got larger as we moved away from the door- and since that is room 199-” Jack pointed forwards to the one room they could see “-217 must be that way, away from the staircase.” Jack pointed to the other end of the left hallway. Stephen did not understand a thing Jack had said, but he nodded anyway because he didn’t want to talk. Besides, Jack would lead the way. When they got to the end of the hallway, they saw the room. Jack was right. Walking inside, they saw the walls of the room were bright pink, and… that was it. No bed, no lights, no medical equipment or furniture, just pink. “Well this was a waste of time. Now go away.” Stephen left.

Cordelia Pinkapop

Cordelia walks into the hospital with a bouquet of roses and a basket of usual food supplies. Tea also brew a special kind of drink to go with it too, a soothing herbal tea that sure would captivate anyone. Though that isn't important to go into details right now, now it's time to visit someone.

Cord knocks on the door gently, but loud enough for anyone inside to hear. She then goes into the room, an anthromorphic cat laying on the bed. The girl then goes to him and put the basket and the bouquet down on the desk before sighing

"Hello, Stephen, was it?" She said, greeting the cat on the bed "I heard you were injured, so I came to visit. It doesn't seem too bad, that's fortunate." She said as she smiles gently, and then went back to blank again before she brought the tea out of the basket "Here, my friend made this tea for you. It'd help you feel better. It helped me too that time I fell and kind of broke my ankle, hehe"

Though she chuckled at it like it was nothing, clearly she felt kind of bad about that one time they met. Cordelia then hands the tea over to Stephen before sighing once again "...Sorry, I shouldn't have brought that up. It was in the past, and I know you weren't intended to do that." she paused for a moment before continuing "...you didn't intended to do that, did you? Well, it doesn't matter, what matter now is how you're doing in that case. Either way, I brought my baby seal friend, would you like to play with him?"
