Heya! Figured I'd start up a thread like this as I abolsutely love finding various music, and noticed there isn't a thread for this here yet! Plus, thinking on it, a good few of my OCs are inspired by some songs and music in general, and it never hurts to be on the hunt for more music to check out!
Basic Rules:
1. The person above you will link you a song to listen to!
2. Give your thoughts on it - is it something you liked, or is it just not your cup of tea? Did it inspire you to make an OC on the fly? Feel free to express this as much or as little as you want! (Please be respectful and civil in your reply, though.)
3. In the same post, link a song for the next person to listen to!
[edit] 4. If you're next in line, please claim before going ahead; I totally missed out due to IRL things going on, I realize some people might of been Ninja'd! So let's try to avoid being ninja'd from now on <:"D
EDIT; PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Heya! I've gotten a few concerns from people that go through this thread that some may of been a bit disrespectful about one's tastes in music. Music is something it's obvious not everyone is going to like the same thing, but I must remind you to PLEASE, be respectful to the person above you when having shared music. If it isn't your thing, please be kind and simply say "It wasn't my cup of tea, sorry. I'm glad you like it though!" or something nice along those lines. Having someone be told the song you chose (which might even mean a lot to you on your own terms and reasons behind it) is horrible or nasty, can be a bit rude. Let's do our best to keep polite and civil here while we all jam out to some awesome tunes! Thanks!
All good? Let's get started! I'll link over a song for the first person to start things off!
First song: The Maddest Kind of Love, by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
ducclord DUDE SHUT UP I LOVE PAPA QUINN his music is amazing! and thoroughly underrated!! though ive actually never heard of MAX and honestly i love this a lot, i like upbeat stuff too >:3c ill have to check more MAX stuff out

aight how about this song? its fine if you dont like it but it always puts me in a good mood haha
ah it seems i was sniped so ignore this now i guess
Not the kind of stuff i usually listen to, but super catchy in the way that makes you wanna bounce your head! I like the loopy spacey instrumentation, and the singer's voice is really cool!
that really isn't what i'd normally listen to but it's really nice. i like the voices and whatever that instrument is in the background. the song is great and i probably wouldn't have discovered it if didn't come here today.
i-im just gonna to put in anathema since i've been thinking about the album a lot recently
Unfortunately it doesn't match with my tastes and just the odd cadences of when suddenly the singer high pitches the word 'say' just got to me and I could not finish the song.
David Vitas ft. Elsie Lovelock - Lullaby of the Moon [Lyrics - Emotional Female Vocal] Honestly I'm not even sure I can explain just why I love this song so much. I just do
not exactly what i would usually listen to, but it's very relaxing and beautiful :'^) i really like the vocals
bbno$ & so loki - who dat boi prod. lentra
this slaps
THE MV LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING ME AND MY FRIENDS OR MY OCS WOULD DO... and the guys look cool but maybe I just really enjoy people doing wild things while wearing dapper clothing
the music isn't clicking with me much tho, especially the lyrics? but if I was given the chance to use music on a shitpost, i'd deffo use this
how about quiet room by ewe/yoh kamiyama?? lyrics are available on cc if you're curious
I really like the video and the vocals! It has a really cool style! It's not really my favorite genre though and some of the background sounds grate on me a bit. ><
How about For Evight by Volbeat? Volbeat is my favorite band and I love this song. This is the version with Danish lyrics but there is a version that's full English if that suits you better (called The Bliss). I kinda prefer the Danish version.
I had never hear of Volbeat before so this was new to me! they have a very interesting country rock sound, not something I would choose to listen to on my own but I wouldn't skip it.

Daniel Caesar - Japanese Denim is my current chill summer car ride go to
Oooooooooooh, I definitely like the vibe here, it's so relaxing~ Guaranteed a spot on my playlist! I'm surprised I've never heard of this guy before! <3
This song has been stuck in my head since I first listened to it, maybe someone else will enjoy it too! :0
It’s really catchy! It lacks the energy i need in a song but it’s still really nice. I feel like I recognise it from somewhere but I can’t quite put my finger on it aha
This isn't my cup of tea, so I don't think I'd listen to it too much. It honestly reminds me of the type of music my mum would listen to on long car rides! So props for that :D
Fairytale inspired media are always a good thing in my book! This kind of reminded me of Mili, though it's not really my type of vocals but it sounds so mystical! Not my type of jam I listen to, but I think this is something I'd suggest to my friends! They'd love this so much
My bf suggested this song to me the other day but now I can't stop listening to it, not too fond of the lyrics but it's a bop: I beg you - Aimer
if you like Madoka Magica and/or Kalafina, it's by the same composer, Yuki Kajiura! I live for her crazy violins and drums.
