Everyone has a secret. You do, I do, and our characters do too. These could be small things. Little white lies they have told over the years with zero consequences where maybe the worst thing that they're keeping to themselves is that they don't like fast food or they don't know how to tie their shoes. However, those aren't the only secrets out there. There are also ones that people, your characters, might take to their graves. Things that could bring about such massive, world-changing, revelations that anyone knowing would change everything. Do they know the secrets about the afterlife, have they been on the run from the law for years, have they been having an affair and has a secret family a thousand miles away, or maybe they just know something truly eldritch, something that should have been unknowable, but they have that floating around in their head? Everyone has a secret. The point of this thread is to guess what that secret is.
That's right! We are delving into the recesses of characters minds and guessing what they are keeping close to the vest. If you don't know how to play this game? It's simple. A character will post and the person after them will then post what they thing that character's secret is. They can either guess completely blind. Seeing nothing but the icon the person is using or they can sneak a peek at their profile and glean something from what they read (although, if you do? Maybe give your post a little indicator *, like demonstrated below, if just so people don't feel like their character's secret is super obvious if you get it right.)

Now, before we start trying to guess at closely guessed secrets? Please keep some rules in mind.
- Keep your guesses SFW. This thread should be preferably PG and PG-13 at most. NSFW topics are forbidden and sensitive topics must both be blacked out. For example: Example text. As well as anything underneath that blacked out text cannot be graphic or explicit.
- Don't be needlessly harsh or edgy with your guesses. Try to be kind of sensible in what you guess. For example, maybe don't bring up a character having some traumatic history due to war if their icon is a child with a flower crown. Yes, that stuff does happen but consider it the exception not the rule.
- While sneaking a peek at a character's profile is technically allowed? Try to avoid it is possible. Sometimes it can be hard to guess something purely from a picture and if you need to know a character's immediate family or something in order to make a guess that's fine but don't read over a character's backstory and then make a "guess" based on what you read from that backstory. The whole point of this thread is that slight element of mystique that comes from not entirely knowing everything and needing to guess.
- Don't causes drama, start fights, or break this rule or any of the above. If someone does? Bring them to my attention and either me or the admins, if needed, will deal with it.

Raoul looks like the type to be holding in some deep, extremely important secret, but anyone who expects that is likely to be disappointed lmao. in reality, he's able to watch movies back to back, for days on end, thanks to his extreme stamina. he usually just uses it to spend more time with his wife (who's also a fan of said extreme movie marathons), but it's just... so out there for a werewolf that he just doesn't exactly reveal it in everyday conversation. it's more of a "weird tidbit" about him than an actual "secret," but then again he'd probably deny it the first time you asked him about it.

colorado once doxxed someone. he hasn't done anything with the information, but he's pretty bitter over something this said someone did, and so tries to keep the info updated "just in case"...... even if he'll never use it or post it, if only because he's afraid of the repercussions.

tbh... when I first saw Maribelle... I high-key thought she was that type of person to have killed someone and had an existential crisis over it for who-knows-how-long. said someone could've been an innocent bystander, or an actual Bitch, but either way, she committed the act and had some pretty heavy weight on her shoulders as a result.
on a way more mundane note, she struck me as that type of person to just... really, really like cutesy or soft things. for some reason, sweets and kittens/puppies came into mind, and that stuck until I read her profile- (well, at least the sweets part was accurate. the puppy part on the other hand...) also, idk why tf I thought this, but you know the baby talk some people make when talking to cute animals?? she came off as that type of person who'd do that, but if anyone caught her in the act, Maribelle would be PISSED- :"))))

She got a bunch of unfinished and finished letters for Fitzgerald she never dared to actually send to him. She regrets a lot of things of her past but can't put it to rest.

that asides...... when I first saw Leika, I honestly thought she was the type of individual to have a really weird yet ultimately harmless fear?? like... one of those fears that'd sound so ridiculous that she'd probably get pretty pissed and Ready to Fight(tm) if someone found out about it. my first idea as to what the fear would center around? geese. assuming that they exist in her setting, but either way... anything that combines loud, obnoxious noises with a relatively small frame likely would be a major "nope" from her- maybe she had a bad brush with a goose as a kid and never exactly got over it?? (though in retrospect, that wouldn't be THAT much of a secret considering her disdain for animals in general lmfao.)
with my current idea for her, she also likely has... a bit of a soft spot for potato dishes. mashed potatoes, fries, you name it. she wants the potato, but she'd kick your ass if you teased her about it. I'm thinking that maaaaaybe those dishes sort of remind her of her family, and the reason why she's so uptight about it is because she still feels ambivalent about ditching them. or perhaps it's just a coincidence, and Leika comes off as the type of person who loves rich, decadent dishes as long as there's no garlic involved. :)c

honestly his dislike for those types is... pretty petty.... he faces them a lot in his tournaments and has lost to those types of specialists the most often, and... he's really not a good loser by any means fhgvfdvfsdv- he likes control, and that's what winning gives to him and what losing deprives.
speaking of control, he didn't rEALLY have a mentor figure besides his dad Johnson. Dolores was in the picture for a bit as a caretaker, but she doesn't exactly count because she ditched when he was really young - too young to consciously remember her except for how his father viewed her. you'd be right about him needing it to function though! it's more of a compensation for Johnson depriving him of control as a child, albeit in a very fucked up way. u_u
My guess is that Smithson dislikes Dragon and Fighting types because they were once attacked as a child by a dragon and fire pokemon or trainer and that has scarred them.
I also think that Smithson always wants order in his life because he feels out of control and unsure of himself when he doesn't have guidance, perhaps a mentor looked out for him and they were now gone.
Hmmm I'm gonna guess Xavier used to be a bad boy actually. Got into fights and was known as a local ruffian terror, but really want to embrace his more soft and gentle side, so he eventually became more honest and open about himself. :)
