I'm sure many of you have seen the numbered or symboled questions that are meant to be used for character development. I've always wanted to give them a try (and maybe you have too), and this thread will give us an opportunity to! If this gets enough interest I may find more question sets that are numbered or lettered so we can have a bigger pool of questions.

★ How to Play
Written below is a set of numbered questions. The goal of this game is to pick or (or two or three) to ask of a character that belongs to the poster above you.
Initial post: Look at the above user's character gallery and select a character you're curious about. Make a post pinging the user above that included both the name of/link to the character you want to know about, then post the number/s of the question/s you want to ask!
Answering questions: Once someone posts below you and chooses a character and a question to ask, edit your post and answer the questions accordingly!

★ Rules ★
I'll have to add more rules to fit the game, but for now I'm a thread-running novice and can only think of one really important thing: remember this thread is all-age friendly. It is not categorized as mature, so please be mindful of our younger players bye avoid overly sexual answers to questions. Thank you!

For the sake of organization I'm going to ask the first poster just claim a spot and skip me!

how about 2, 21, and 8?

2. Their emotional/moral weak spots
Seiji HATES being told he's useless and that he's not good enough, although no one actually calls him that, he just hates the thought of someone calling him that. Mainly stemming from his workaholic lifestyle, he really wants his efforts to be known and appreciated because if they're not, what is he working for? On the flip side, being told "good job" really makes him happy and it actually motivates him to work harder next time. Another weak spot that I can think about is his love for Joanne. When someone brings it up, depending on the context, he can either get really defensive or really agitated. He defends Joanne no matter what, and praises her at any moment he can.

12. Grudges and vendettas
As much as I kinda write him as kinda oblivious to what Joanne does, he does know. And he silently gets angry or upset when Joanne comes home particularly late or the morning after. Other than Joanne, he holds a grudge against his parents for being so hands-on with his childhood, for being so strict with him, and not really allowing him any free time to hang out with friends or just relax. He was always head-in-the-books, which made him smart, but it's hard for him to think his parents were a little bit too strict.

16. Dark secrets/’skeletons in the closet’
I haven't actually come up with/written anything that really counts as a "dark secret" for him yet, and at the same time, I don't really know what I SHOULD write for a "dark secret." I never really thought about it before.

18. Things they’ll never admit
That he's as dense as a black hole? Seriously, people that are dense don't really notice that they're dense, including Seiji (and myself LOL). Like, even if you told him something directly to his face, he'll respond along the lines of, "Nahh, no way!" He just doesn't notice it, and I guess in some way, this hurts him too.

muichiro

You know who I never see? Seiji. So I'm going to ask about Seiji because I'm nosey. Give me 2, 12, 16 and 18!

Ace LostPocong

genjis

How about 5, 10, 13 and 21 for rane?

Thank you for the questions. Answers in spoiler:

2. Their emotional/moral weak spots

Emotionally, she is very vulnerable. Loneliness will turn her into a nervous wreck, and when criticized she will either lose all her confidence, or become aggressive, depending on the veracity of the criticism.

Morally, she can be a little dishonest, manipulative and violent. She doesn’t usually kill people, but she’s fine with beating people unconscious if they bother her.

14. Ingrained habits/forces of habit

When she gets upset, she often throws things to the ground, she hides her fangs if she’s around people she doesn’t know and if she gets injured, she will lap up her own blood.

17. Regrets

She accidently hurt someone the first time she met humans. Also, early-mid game spoilers: When she first joins the party, another party member, the mercenary, is still an enemy. After the fight, Ace melts her sword, which was a keepsake from her father. Ace didn’t know it meant something to her, so she regrets destroying it even before the mercenary later joins the party.

16. Dark secrets/’skeletons in the closet’

There’s not a lot honestly, but there is her ‘deal’ with Sine. Pampu knows and Jesse gets told about it if Ace trusts them enough, but when Sine starts messing with the party, this is Ace’s reaction.

 Laura Rabbit KingOswald

For Ace  2, 14,17 and16

NP: If you ask for IC that would be great, I have other 2 here

5. Guilty pleasures

She's not supposed to eat sweets cause of work, but she will always try to get sweets like cake, ice cream or just candy.

Also probably weird for a guilty pleasure but she loves cooking for others.

17. Regrets

She barely regrets anything

except if she makes some kind of mistake at planning something or didn't come out how she wanted it to

The only kind of regret she has is throwing away something important for her husband, not knowing it would affect him

18. Things they’ll never admit (Warning, murder and death below vv)

Probably she will never say that she threw away what's mentioned below which is actually her husband's ex wife that was turned into a statue and the fact that she killed her friends and her ex and still has the bodies.

RabbitJaguar

KingOswald can I get 5, 17, and 18 for Laura?

1. Fargo's physical weak points would probably be the back of her knees and her rear, since she usually guards herself from the front.

13. She gets flustered when she makes mistakes at work, and someone points it out. Like you can point out a typo that isn't there and she'll start sweating trying to find it. She's also usually dressed neatly, and will get embarrassed by something like a coffee stain on her coat, or an undone button.

22. Fargo has been influenced by Oz. She takes working for him very seriously, and his craziness sometimes rubs off on her, even if it's not apparent.

CROIX I'm really curious about Jango-87, 2, 11, 15, 2 and 20!

Pretty much anyone from my DND folder and Fragments Folder are better developed and will provide you with more interesting answers!^^

Alright! My wacky lizard child!

22. I would say that someone's really influenced her is her traveling companion, Daeris. The two spent an adventure together and frequently worked jobs together, when possible. Daeris, taught Opix a healthy amount of caution and patience where the fighter had little.

14: Opix has this really weird habit of breathing out smoke when she gets frustrated. This is a problem because this can look like she's going to start breathing fire at people which is understandably worrisome.

9: Once, when on an adventure, she and her party were dragged down to the Hellish planar landscape by a Teifling and forced to work for her under a very powerful spell. They were coerced into helping this woman by magic and that caused some really weird and wacky things to happen.

Lord Magma SOUNDBBABE

HardyLark hmm how about 22, 14, and 9 for Opix Tailmut ? :,3

Anyone in here is fair game !

2. Directly throwing or damaging his exposed heart will deeply wound him and may force him back into his heart while destroying the 'body'

12. Magma has a grudge / an immense hatred towards the council members who decided upon his banishment. It left him emotionally unstable for the first few life cycles on Earth, being far from his lover. Eventually he had to live with the fact that his chances of returning home were 0.

17. He regrets yelling at close friends, pushing his younger brother away, and over all sometimes regrets having an emotional connection with Ebris as it's too hard and almost impossible to see him.

18. Magma would never admit that he likes eating garbage. Or, at least certain types of garbage. Because of his origin of being a fire elemental, anything he eats will get burned down and digested into the body. He loves eating charcoal and other things along that line of fire starters, yet will occasionally eat human food and trash. He doesn't much like to admit that part.

SchoolMilkCarton

SOUNDBBABE how about 2, 12, 17, and 18 for Lord Magma?

Any of my characters are fair game.

Sure thing!

3. If we're talking emotionally painful, then all of him is a painful spot or subject to talk about. He wasn't a willing participant to become an angel and he sees this more as a curse than a blessing. Physically, he's got a good few scars under all that fur on his hands, mostly around the knuckles and on the paw pads from fighting/forgetting he does, in fact, have claws.

5. He will never admit that he does enjoy chasing a ball of yarn around like a cat would, he feels that if everyone knew that he would be mocked more than he is currently and even then, all he really gets are short jokes. He also does enjoy preening and generally keeping up his appearance, though he will argue that he does not and that he just "normally looks like this all the time."

10. Bastard is terrified of swimming. He didn't know how to swim when he was a person, and he sure as Hell does not know how to swim now. His wings and feathers just weigh him down even more. This also adds into his fear of drowning. Otherwise, he's got a mild issue with thunder.

13. Compliments get him very flustered, he's more used to arguments and insults. He doesn't know how to deal with them and will, usually, assume it's a backhanded insult more than a genuine nice thing directed at him.

---

Emotional/moral weak spots: Melody has a huge weakness for a pretty face. A handsome man can do just about anything and then smile at her and she would forgive him. The only exception is if he were to harm her son.

Fears/phobias: Melody doesn't fear any outward things such as heights or bugs or darkness, but she fears that her son won't be able to live the way he wants because of the world he is in and his timid personality.

Dark secrets/"skeletons in the closet": Melody doesn't have any real secrets, although she tends to keep her age close to her chest because she finds people tend to judge her when they work out her age compared to her son's.

Regrets: Melody's biggest regret is dropping out of college. She understands that she had to do it, because caring for Oliver while attending school just wasn't feasible for her, yet some nights when she comes home late at night from her second job and sees Oliver asleep at the kitchen table after having tried to stay awake for her, she wishes she had just tried a bit harder to get the experience needed for a better salary.

 H'elah Sohn Illysium

RabbitJaguar

I would like to learn about your girl Melody Cadoc! 2, 10, 16, 17.

dethklok

Hey there, and thanks for the questions! I'm sorry for the late reply, but here you go!

2. Their emotional/moral weak spots

One of the biggest emotional and/or moral weak spots for H'elah would be things regarding various forms of prejudice, especially racism, and child neglect. Growing up an outcast who was treated as if she didn't exist, H'elah spent a fair chunk of her life being neglected. She grew up isolated and alone, aside from her mother. She had no friends, no paternal figure, she really didn't have much of anything that one would really consider a chilhood. She adamantly believes that no child should be treated the way she was treated, so children, their abuse, and their loneliness are incredibly weak spots for her emotionally. You'll find her pretty frequently in orphanages.

In regards to prejudice and racism, this stems from the fact she was entirely disowned from her tribe solely because of the insular, conservative mindset of her tribe. Because H'elah's father wasn't a member of the tribe, she was considered an abomination of nature. She firmly believes that prejudices against things such as race, creed, religion, and sex or gender, are incredibly dated and have only served to make societies stagnate.

5. Guilty pleasures

I actually had to think pretty hard about what might be a guilty pleasure for H'elah, and I would have to say that it's something as simple as sweets such as chocolates, pastries, and otherwise. Being a dancer, it's imperative that she maintain a healthy weight and figure, which necessitates that she eats appropriately and healthy. That said, she's known to be a little bit of a glutton when it comes to sweet things such as scones and crepes, and she has overindulged in them a few times when she knows she shouldn't.

12. Grudges and vendettas

Overall, H'elah isn't the kind of person to really hold grudges or have vendettas against people. That said, she does hold a grudge against the group of purists that tore her and her mother apart, and left H'elah tied up, abandoned and alone in a big city before her tribe left. That's really the only grudge she has, but she's matured so much as she's gotten older, she's more or less let it go. She understands what being insular and isolated from the majority of society can do to people, and that the people who acted were more or less indoctrinated whether they realise it or not. Although she still has a grudge against them, it's safe to say that she would probably forgive them if she was ever given the chance.

21. Turning points in their life.

One of the biggest turning points for H'elah's life ties into the above, and is actually listed in her profile. When she was abducted and left alone in the city of Radz-at-Han, she never believed for a minute that anybody would actually find her, much less volunteer to take care of her. However, the leader of her troupe, Faustine, did just that. The abduction and her meeting with Faustine were the biggest turning points in her life, and she certainly wouldn't be the woman she is today if those events hadn't happened.

[FFVII] Reign kabuto

Illysium

2, 5, 12, and 21 for H'elah?

2. Their emotional/moral weak spots

Reign is afraid of being seen as weak or a loser. He also is incredibly defensive when his past is brought up. He only has one friend that knows of it and they don't really speak about it because of how Reign gets.

9. Humiliating memories

Reign was actually a little scared of everything as a kid, believe it or not, so he finds that kinda humiliating to think about.

10. Fears/phobias

Being more mature (and traumatized) now, he's outgrown fearing everything like he did as a little kid. However, it's not completely out of his system. He's got a fear of thunder/lightning that still persists to this day (astraphobia). Additionally, also scared of being seen as weak/a loser/ect.

17. Regrets

Reign's biggest regret by far was ever getting involved with SOLDIER.

vynex_gutz 2, 15, 16, and 19!

You’re welcome to those in the Fragments folder as well as, Illanya, Talyn and Ronald. (AUs can be asked for as well) That’s because these are my most developed OCs and will have more interesting answers to questions than my others! Thanks!!!^^

Oh, thank you for asking! I'll do my best!^^

1. Physical Weak Spots ~  Due to reasons following an incident on an adventure, Adven has a particular weakness in her right leg. While not a particular problem for her, since her job is mostly involving summoning and research, it does make her slower and make things more difficult for her on expeditions. However, Adven is always careful to cover her bases and will find ways to move faster.

6. Vices ~  Adven has a terrible habit of being a tease. It's bad enough at times, that she purposefully will bother people to get a rise out of them. Another vice of hers is related to her wife and child. While she is morally responsible most of the time, there are times where she will act against what's in the best interests of her team to help her wife or protect her child. As soon as it comes to family, the moral compass goes out the window.

18. Things she'll never admit ~ Adven would never like to admit it, but she's stolen and done some pretty shady stuff for the sake of her research. It's not something she's proud of, but since nobody was hurt, she thinks she can live with herself. On a lighter note, she will never admit publicly that it ended up being her shy, fretful wife Cerys who proposed first. She will dodge the question as best she can if it comes up. She just doesn't favor talking about it.

Haia is IC but Achi, Horen, Hype, and Bellazhanna work too.

1. Their physical weak spots

Her bones in general lol. Especially her ribcage. Under the spoiler for eating disorders.

She struggled with anorexia so (especially at the height of her struggle with it) she has very frail, breakable bones. Anorexia can cause low bone density among other things. So yeah, it's pretty easy to break or fracture them.

6. Their vices (physical or emotional)

Pretty much all of them lol.

She was into drugs and alcohol for the longest time.

But another big one is power! She often feels weak and insecure so physical/magical power is another. She goes to some great lengths to achieve it.

11. Bad or petty habits

Smoking was one of them as well as self-harm. She was heavily addicted to both.

She's also very inclined to pessimistic thinking and self-deprecating thoughts. She is in the habit of thinking this way so it is hard for her to stop. She also has a habit of making offhanded remarks. She kind of just says whatever she is thinking no matter how rude or off color.

21. Turning points in their life

The two major ones were when she decided to join the main character on her quest to save the world. Up until then her life was either directionless or going in a very dark and evil direction. Joining the main character gave her something productive/good to do even if she was reluctant to do any good at all. The other turning point was when she found out that she was pregnant. She quit smoking and drinking cold turkey for the sake of this baby which paved the way to so many more changes in her life. That's when she truly started to heal.
