Please make sure to read the rules carefully! They are not long and are here to make sure everyone has a good time and nobody has to be banned

Rules:

  • You must fill your claim within 12 hours! Failing to fill the claim will result in you being skipped
  • Make sure everyone can view your gallery! If you have +18 content make sure it's tagged so that minors can't view it!
  • No passive aggressive or backhanded comments, or anything that could be read as negative or hostile. If you don't like someone's art, don't claim that user. This is a compliment thread, not a critique thread!
  • You can post again after three new posts have been made after yours!
  • If you have already claimed a user once, feel free to compliment one specific piece from their gallery! This is to prevent the game from being clogged
  • Your comment must be at least two full sentencesTry to put effort into your comment, and if you can't think of anything nice to say, maybe don't claim that person at all.

This is not targeted at anyone in particular, but just a reminder that even though cutting your long sentence into two shorter sentences technically gives you the minimum two you need to participate, it's an extremely scummy tactic and absolutely not fair for the person you're claiming! If you can't think of anything nice to say, wait for someone else who you can give a proper reply to. I'm sure you wouldn't want a clearly low effort response either

Banned users:

N/A. Let's keep it that way!

3 warnings = ban from the thread. However, in really big problem situations (insulting and slandering etc) the ban might come immediately

If someone hasn't finished their claim or otherwise causes you trouble, feel free to DM me so I'll give a strike! Please also notify me if someone doesn't follow through the minimum sentence count either!

Ok one thing I appreciate about your art is how expressive all the characters appear; their poses and facial expressions reflect how the characters are and I really love that! Also the poses are natural as well, the poses don’t look uncomfortable. I also like how your art style is mostly cartoony and such (I think? Not sure how to describe heck) but the proportions are actually also quite realistic as well. Overall I really like your art style, it’s cute and unique in my opinion!

wow, this is a neat style! I find your sketches superbly expressive, both in terms of how the faces are drawn and in terms of the loose lines. You also have some really good colour palettes, and I'm particularly fond of this one (like, I really love this one, coupled with that lively background with the spattering of dots) and this one. You're well on your way to developing an extremely recognisable, exciting and energetic style. Also, you have some really memorably quirky designs, e.g. this one--a canine with a mouth on its tail? rad and this infernal dog-like design--you clearly have a flair for drawing ferals, and I wish you all the best in your future art!

Probably the most up-to-date collection of art

yo I missed this at first but thank you so much! I'm glad you like my colours; perspective's not something people have pointed out to me before, so thank you for that feedback!

MxMartyBellvue

oh... my GOD... ok honestly where do i begin??? your sense of color is just INCREDIBLE and i haven’t seen anything like it. and you have a great grasp of perspective like stuff like this, this, and this. also i love this tweet because i saw the other ones like it and honestly... keep doing those two in warm lighting because it always comes out great LOL

all my recent art is right here on toyhouse actually hfhfhf anything else is basically like only the last couple of posts on my blog before it gets. really old because i didn’t draw a lot in the past few years before toyhouse, this is like the only place that’s inspired me to Keep Drawing

AHH your art is so pretty!! I'm in particular love with the way you draw the head shapes; they're all really diverse and so realistic looking in a way that honestly makes me really jealous! The way you draw the features of your charcters is so soft and delicate too, like it has the "softness" you see in real people as opposed to a lot of stylized or cartoony art where sharp angles are very exaggerated. In general your style has this really nice touch of realism to it with proportions overall, and it's really clear to see from your art you have a really strong grasp of both anatomy and 3D dimensions (which is something I really struggle with myself; I find it hard to think of the world and things within it having visual depth).

I also really like the way you do noses! I feel like it's often really hard to find the good balance between realistic and a more 2-dimensional when it comes to noses, but you're definitely doing it really really well!!

omg thank you so much ;__; < 33 it always makes me happy to hear people like my colors because I have always been super self conscious about them, especially since I don't see especially blue and green shades quite like I should aaa than you!!!

Guardy

asdghjf YES I love your art so much, where do I even sTART

The colors you use always look so soft and warm, and I have no idea how you even do that given how much blue you use*. Gives it a very vintage pastel kind of feel, though, which I absolutely adore. Something that also plays into that is how just generally soft your art looks - round-ish shapes and delicate, clean lineart everywhere (especially the hair, how does one even do hair lineart that cleanly yet also keeps it soft and fluffy??? Heck). Especially the stuff you do of your own characters always looks like it fell straight out of a fairy tale, and I love it.

Your pixel stuff is awesome, too - detailed, without getting lost in those details. Your TH avatar is one of my favorite character-based pixel arts I've seen so far, tbh.

And, last but not least, those simple, striped backgrounds you occasionally use? I'm pretty fond of that kind of stuff anyway, but they also fit your art so well

*oh, and I also love how you balance out your colors; even when literally 85% of the picture is just... blue, it still never looks overwhelming or monochrome, because you balance it so nicely with colored outlines and well-picked skin-tones and hair colors.

[THREAD MOD POST, PLEASE CLAIM @GUARDY INSTEAD OF ME!]

I added a new rule to the game: you must fill your claim within 12 hours or you can be skipped. Please don't claim people if you don't actually have the time to participate in the game, as this only slows down the thread the risk of forgetting to claim increases.

Wow. I love how your digital paintings look. I'm always in awe of people choosing to do this style of artwork as I think its difficult and takes a long tiem to master but it loosk liek you're getting a handle on it. I love how soft fabrics and skin tones read. super smooth. The way you draw some features are pretty to me and read as sinister on some characters which i hope mean you'r e trying to inject some of their personality forward into their designs. Pretty cool.

I really enjoy how dynamic all the posing is for the characters in your art. Even when they are doing something that could easily be statically posed, like sitting, there still feels like there is movement to them (especially this piece). The soft lineart along with the overarching colour scheme of reds and purples makes your art give off a very 'retro' vibe that I really dig. Plus, all the characters are recognizable. Each one has a unique design I would be able to pick out in a crowd.

Also, you really good at making clothing feel like it has mass. I can't quite articulate how I feel about it other than fluffy skirts have got the poof and loose clothing flows. It's some good stuff.

TenMomentsTill Your use of colors and textures is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL, I mean oh my god I hopped into your toyhouse tab and was almost immediately awestruck. This piece in particular caught my eye the second the page loaded, I’m totally in love with the texturing and lighting on it and it just hit all my aesthetics in one. I was also incredibly impressed with pieces like this one simply because of the lighting effects used. The detailing on the bones, especially the finger bones around the head, were so eye catching as well and it all just flows very nicely together with your style as a whole. Absolutely marvelous use of color and anatomy, I’m very glad I stumbled across you <3

Wow, okay, first of all, your art looks really put-together! Like, every character's design suits the character and isn't clashing. Your anthro animals have nice proportions (nothing ridiculous), and you have a wide variety of designs even though your style is pretty consistent. I'm not an art connoisseur, but I can tell you're good at what you do!

your art has this really cool doodle-ish style! what really stuck out to me was your use of colors. in all of your pieces the colors all go together and look nice. like in this image, all the colors have a similar feel to them meaning none of the colors look like they don't belong.

//sorry if i'm awful at explaining things!

edited because i can't spell to save my life

Ok, first thing's first. I LOVE your pixel art!! The cute little details on the lines and colouring are so charming despite being small. The colours of your art is so clean and soft, the same goes to the colours of your lineart. It blends so well together and makes the piece soft n pleasing to look at. I also admire how detailed and clean your lineart is. There weren't any strokes i found out of place so good job! (I personally have a hard time with lineart shshhs) Last but not least, the simplistic backgrounds are just great. It doesn't make the piece crowded but it does makes the center pops out

All of my up to date art is on my art tab!

Ooh wow you're art is really cute and soft ^^ I love the how the colors look and feel; most palettes feel soothing to look at, both warm and cool. I like how the round shapes you use seem almost perfect too. The lineart you use is just as soft as the way you color which really ties a piece together ^^ Overall your style is comforting and pretty ~
