Please make sure to read the rules carefully! They are not long and are here to make sure everyone has a good time and nobody has to be banned

Rules:

  • You must fill your claim within 12 hours! Failing to fill the claim will result in you being skipped
  • Make sure everyone can view your gallery! If you have +18 content make sure it's tagged so that minors can't view it!
  • No passive aggressive or backhanded comments, or anything that could be read as negative or hostile. If you don't like someone's art, don't claim that user. This is a compliment thread, not a critique thread!
  • You can post again after three new posts have been made after yours!
  • If you have already claimed a user once, feel free to compliment one specific piece from their gallery! This is to prevent the game from being clogged
  • Your comment must be at least two full sentencesTry to put effort into your comment, and if you can't think of anything nice to say, maybe don't claim that person at all.

This is not targeted at anyone in particular, but just a reminder that even though cutting your long sentence into two shorter sentences technically gives you the minimum two you need to participate, it's an extremely scummy tactic and absolutely not fair for the person you're claiming! If you can't think of anything nice to say, wait for someone else who you can give a proper reply to. I'm sure you wouldn't want a clearly low effort response either

Banned users:

N/A. Let's keep it that way!

3 warnings = ban from the thread. However, in really big problem situations (insulting and slandering etc) the ban might come immediately

If someone hasn't finished their claim or otherwise causes you trouble, feel free to DM me so I'll give a strike! Please also notify me if someone doesn't follow through the minimum sentence count either!

I really like how like.... 'soft' your lineart is, if that makes sense! like its very smooth and with the nice round shapes you use in your art it makes it very fun and soft looking! also the few lineless pieces you did came out SO nice!! you have a very good eye for colours that go well together & using fun accent colours! youre lines have a pretty uniform weight but just adds to the overall fun cartoony vibe you got going on!

most of my art is just in my art tab as i don't have many other places i upload it :')

ticklerust

I've been snooping through your character designs, and I have to say, WOW! So creative!! Your style is very pleasing to look at <3 My favorite design has to be Valentine. That hair and eyepatch, aaaahhh~    I can tell you put a lot of thought into designing your characters. <3

I post most of my drawings here: https://www.instagram.com/ticklerust/ and here: https://www.deviantart.com/featheredfun/gallery [most recent is 3d; you may ignore it lol]

The thing that really stands out to me in your art is your texturing! Those are particularly apparent in your traditional pieces because the medium kind of automatically makes them happen, but you can see the same thing in your digital art as well, in particular your choice in lining brushes and the way you do hair! The little cross hatching also really gives this very pleasant traditional feel to your pieces even when they're digital!

I also really like your compositions and expressions! All your pieces feel so "full" in a good way and I adore especially the ones that are closeup of the characters, as your skills in giving them very unique features and lively expressions makes them genuinely fun to look at! Especially your works about your character Peaches are so much fun to look at because of her poofy hair, a huge range in expressions and round, large eyes are all really intriguing details you draw super confidently!!

I think that your art is lovely! All of your pieces have the same mythic/mysterious feeling, and I love that. I’ve tried to do mysterious art before, but it never works out too well lol :/

Edit: for the person below me, you can do anyone in my Permas tab. I get some art from other artists so you may need to click on each individual piece of art to see if it’s mine lol (note: if it is great, it isn’t mine)

okay. let me just get this out of the way. the fact that you do pixel art in general is just?? really neat to see?? I don't think I see that medium being used too often by Toyhouse users, or at least those that usually frequent the forum game subsection. (there might be more in other parts of the site tbf lol-) so in that regard, you definitely stand out to me, even if I haven't really seen your art before. u_u

there's a real fluidity in a lot of your pixel art animations, from what I do see in your art tab. it sort of reminds me of the Pokemon sprites in Black/White and Black 2/White 2 in both style and relative smoothness. like... the animations are smooth enough to be pleasing to the eye, but there's also that rustic, almost retro charm that I really admire. I can consider that signature to you too, because a lot of pixel art tends to focus a LOT on either the smoothness or the retro aspect as part of the style. you, on the other hand, have balance between the two, and it's a refreshing thing to see imo.

also.... your selection of detail is just... *chef's kiss*.... I really enjoy how you can put in detail into some of your pieces without making them look cluttered or otherwise overwhelming to the eye, which I presume is critical when it comes to pixel art. however, even when it comes to your digital or traditional art, you know which features to include or emphasize in a character, and which ones to exclude or otherwise put off to the side. I think there's some feedback on how to put in more detail into a piece, but I also believe it's equally important to know when to step back and stop adding details. your style seems to lean towards the simpler side of the spectrum, but that's personally what I find really engaging about it?? there's just that... charm to it; plus, it fits the pixel aspect well given that too many colors or markings on one character wouldn't exactly translate well into pixel art haha-

so, by that regard, even if I haven't seen much of your art around yet, I'd love to see it around more in time! it's very aesthetically pleasing and charming in its own unique way! :D

@ NP: feel free to use my TH art tab, my Art Fight attacks, or my art Instagram for this game!! ^^

   - ayfdvgsurf ty for the kind words?? the surreal and morbid look is actually what I try to aim for in my art, since I do like me some horror-related styles haha- I also personally keep my style experimental to keep things interesting for me; it's more obvious in my Art Fight content than anywhere else though. u_u

I really like the colors you use. They aren't too bright nor are they drab or boring to look at. the colors you choose for your designs look nice together and your character designs are simple but charming. i also really like how you show personality thru different eye shapes!

oooof your lineart is so clean???? i also may be biased cause i love to do it too but the way some of the characters have that like shiny eyelid thing going on (idk how else to describe it) is very good. i also love the way you draw facial expressions! the poses you do for fullbody art is so nice too, and the tiny grumpy dimitri on your da....excellent

ooh i rly like how u draw eyes actually! i'm not sure what it is, but smthn abt the way u draw them gives ur art a lot of personality! there's life to them, u know? :D the way u draw hair also looks rly natural for the style, it sits well and is nicely detailed and shaded. u don't seem afraid to work w/ bright and bold colours and they contrast ur dark palettes rly brilliantly! u've got a rly good grasp on shading and light sources too, and ur able to draw small scenes w/o it ever making ur art look busy in the slightest ;w; not to pick a fave but i love this piece u did, it's got some great composition and it's almost like u can feel the panic from the person in the foreground :0 the blur is also a fantastic effect i think!

YOUR ST YL E... Beautiful. Nice sharp line art with smooth angles and well placed highlights of shading/lightening on each piece. I like the tones of purple and blue in the hair of some of your works esp, it really helps pull the pieces together and add just a smidge of interesting color to look at. The way you draw animal-like characters adds a lot of personality without making them look TOO much like humans in the face, so they don't reach anything uncanny while still having great expressions and personality  to them. Did I already mention how much i love your colors bc i love your colors it's...woof. gorg. You have a good grasp of anatomy enough to exaggerate features while still making it look real nice too.

Naiad_Ni

Ah! i think the shading is the best part of your drawings- you do it very well and seem confident about it! Also your lineart feels really smooth and nice to look at even though its minimal (in a good way). The way you draw hair is also really charming to look at hah! You seem to adapt all kinds of characters in your style which is positive! I hope you keep improving, you're moving in a good direction!

Ok first of all, I just want to point out that I love how you draw hair! Especially long and flowy hair, the way you draw it is so clean and readable and yet so flowy >:0! How!? Speaking of cleaner, your linework is sharp and clean, I always admire people that can use lines in this way. The fact that you are experimenting with different types of art but also with poses expressions and character types is such a good practice! This one is legit my favorite just the dynamic pose, the lines and how the character interacts with the prop is really good man! Slightly older but I love how you play around with portions as well, this more chibi style is just adorable! Again I love how you drew the hair (those readable shapes man I'm yelling) but the overall pose and expression are also really really good!

Agsga thank you so much 😭♥!!!?!? Those are some big compliments I have to lie down

OK Your style?? Crisp. Very nice, absolute eye candy it's just so nice to look at!!! The lineless paint-y texture of it is so SMOOTH & has such a nice natural flow to it! It really reminds me of D&D + medieval style paintings for some reason?? Like it feels like illustrations you'd see in a fantasy adventure esque storybook

ALSO The colors you use are 👌👌👌 they're just so nice on the eyes & natural looking, really warm. They have a really specific vibe that I cant put into coherent words other than "organic"

& the way you draw facial features & expressions is super unique too!! It makes ur chars really distinct & recognisable, I could look @ a picture & immediately go "OH Thats that char!!!" I just 💖_ 💖
