not sure if theres a word for this, but maybe something along the lines of not being in/mostly in control? the car crash in his youth + his dad + his brother knowing his big secret + his ego/ god complex kind of gives me that impression
the fact that aeticus is so reserved, slow to trust others, and rarely reveals information tells me that he's dealt with some extremely shady people in the past that have taken advantage of him. i feel like his biggest fear would be to be completely manipulated and have all his secrets publicly released.
I feel like Paris’ biggest fear is that he’ll end up disappointing everyone he knows. Wanting to leave his hometown, his gondolier training, the expectations put on his shoulders; even if he really wants to, he can’t follow the trail he wants for himself.
He;s such a well-written character!! i really enjoy the way you wrote his story as well as your choice of words!
Anyways, i think Mr. Decker's biggest fear would be long into the fight of his hopeless state of mind vs his core ideal. To the point where he might come into a conclusion, a delusion: where all evil must cease and tries to raise good in the world. Resulting in trying to achieve an utopia with destructive behaviour and irrational actions with many undesirable consequences. Somewhat turning him into a villain almost similar to the laughing Bakeneko, or even worse. As the result of what's left from his sanity

idk i feel like his fear is something he doesn't realise, being acceptance! he's so used to being shunned and hated that the thought of someone approaching him w/ friendship or positive intentions scares him a little bit :0

While I could list the ones that would be on his profile a part of me also wants to say crowded situations. In particular very small spaces filled with people such as an elevator filled to capacity to the point of motion being limited, having the constant specter of something maybe breaking, and also just the presence of others being so close.

You got that right, since I fear that the aircraft would fail in some way and I'd legit panic. But also ironically I am acrophiliac (love heights) so that was false.
I feel like germs and horror movies are a bit obvious so I'm actually going to say that she is afraid of mankind's darker nature combined with their innovation. Basically she would fear what terrifying things people can invent.
