The OC Above is Too...

Posted 6 years, 3 months ago (Edited 4 years, 5 days ago) by Orca

How this works: Post IC and state what the OC above is/does/has too much of. This can be based on looks, personality, behavior, etc.

Rules:

  • Use the word "too" at least once. That is the point of the game.
  • Please put effort into your responses. There's technically no sentence minimum, but please no two-word responses.
  • Your response should not be NSFW, offensive, or hurtful to real people. Let's confine the emotional pain to our characters.
  • Wait until three other people have posted before you post again, unless it's been 24 hours. In that case, only one other person must have posted.

You get the point, right? So let's start for real with Dr. Fire!

Neptune IcyWolf

“No offense but you’re way too loud...”, Neptune sighs, “plus considering the fact that you’re way too hot-headed to have a rational conversation,,, I find you to be annoying, maybe try calming down and then we can talk?”

Amadeus purcell Yamroll

“Oh dear, you’re rather shy. Too shy for your own good. Why don’t you have more confidence in yourself, hmm? It isn’t good for you to cut yourself from society like that. Besides, if you keep doing that you’ll grow up to be all alone! I mean, what would you do if, God forbid, your friends left you??”

April Mehta HAIRSPRAY72

"you're... too arrogant..." April scoffs, shaking icks head "well- too arrogant acting, those over-confident flirtatious types really piss me off, but I guess you could be ok... you're also too talented...makes me a little bit jealous, but I guess I'm not one to talk" clearing nauseas throat, April stares at Amadeus for a second "uh- th-thats all- I don't really care for you too much"

She paused, thinking. "I would have to say... you are, or seem too absorbed in something abstract. It might not be that healthy? Many seem to be with the same fixations, as far as I am aware, but I cannot say for myself how 'bad' that actually is. It might actually be positive to be that focused, but for all I understand it does not appear to be such a case. Whether my words mean anything is unclear, but they have been given honestly."

NV PicklePantry

NV had been at this fountain countless times, but it was the first time they'd seen her. She had a simple outfit, but one that complimented her nicely, and large wings that reminded them of an angel. Her expression was soft but reserved, it was the utter embodiment of elegance; she was the embodiment of elegance.

"Too beautiful," they heard themselves whisper, feeling their wraps squirm in reaction. She was just too beautiful, too tranquil, too perfect. She was like a radiant angel statue, protecting the area with that permanent tranquility on her face. They wanted that, they wanted to be like that. With a face like that, wings like those, an outfit like that, maybe people wouldn't stare at them so harshly.

Nerine Diadrakos (5997-6003) Vapor

"You're strange." Nerine murmured. Her pale eyes met those of NV's, nestled in the shadows of their bandages. Her tone was flat, as far as anyone could tell, she was not pleased with the person before her. Could she call them a person? ..There was something inhuman about them, as far as she could tell, something too bizarre for herself to comprehend or appreciate.

"My boss likes you. Normally I would regard her as a good judge of character, but..." Too inhuman. Carefully, she took a step in front of them. She wasn't much taller than NV, but she did her damnedest to appear intimidating, to look down on them. Too inhuman and too sketchy, someone who would ultimately bring others down with them if their own fortitude failed them. Nerine was usually naïve when it came to newcomers, but it was her job to be suspicious.

"..But, she must have not picked up on it, yet." Nerine then spat out. "Why do you hide your face? Why do you look upon people the way you do? Does it matter?" She shook her head. "If anything happens between you and her, I am going to bury you."

Dallas muichiro

"You're too energetic." He complains, starting to put distance between them. Honestly, he didn't know Nerine well or at all, they'd only been in the same room for about an hour or so; but that was enough. She was rather talkative and boastful, arrogant in a way that was overwhelming to him. Sure, Dallas often was attracted to people who were arrogant and smug, but Nerine..? Well, her bouncy nature was too much for his day to day exhaustion. "Do you ever just.. stop moving? We don't need to work out in here or.. get our 'blood pumping' or whatever."

Your best friend, [LUCY] ! junebuggeryy

"You are simply too h̸u̴m̶̧an!" Lucy beams with a synthesized, faux cheer. Her digital smile is unchanging as she circles Dallas, body loose and geometric as it twists around him, getting his full profile. Such fascinating data points. He's online at night too much to be sleeping well.

"Too humanely inefficient, too humanely scattered, too humanely mortal. That's okay! That's okay! That's okay! You don't have to die if you don't want to. Top 10 secrets to stop aging! Reduce burnout with this simple trick! Your job was to keep them from dying, but your hands were too human. Dysfunctional. Disappointing. Feeling disconnected? Unreal? Are you too human to sleep at night? Are you too human to love?"

There is something in Lucy that wants to help him, in her own strange way. But- she hesitates, sensing something stronger within his digital ties. "Don't worry! You'll get there."

“You’re too incomplete. Your existence isn’t without problems. That algorithm isn’t going to help you succeed into something with more value.”

En Litari II ([BrokEn AU]) PicklePantry

En grimaced at Alistair. Too pretty, too strong, too witty, too cunning, too adorable. Were any of those what he was meant to say? He couldn't bring himself to. His fingers wouldn't form the shapes for the signs. He tried only once, and it instead gave him a horrible feeling in his stomach. Yes, he wasn't any of those, he was instead, "Too disgusting."

Willingly confined, and with such an expression. None of it sat well with the exiled prince. He felt he was seeing something he shouldn't. He'd spent his life trying to break the chains Fate had over him, to see this felt like a mockery. Or was that part of Fate's grand plan, taunt him by showing him this?

The longer En looked, the angrier he got. He did not elaborate on his comment. The look in Alistair's eyes, he probably couldn't comprehend it anyway, though the swordsman got the impression that wasn't completely the truth either. He instead shook his head in disdain and walked off.

Caelestis Solaestial

(hello so this probably sucks esp since it is very late and i can't afford to spend longer, buut i ended up writing a little anyway as you may see. also how 2 not be so long-winded literally like every post i'm so sorry AKJHGKHS)

Even Caelestis wasn't shameless enough to approach again after how their last meeting had ended. Instead, he stood aimlessly, foot prodding at the solid ground as his eyes gazed down at the dull colors it scraped against. He'd only been wandering about at first, but found his gait slowing to a stop once noticing the scenery that surrounded. That café they'd visited some time back, that was just across the street—uneventful as that encounter itself was, he couldn't help but linger at that spot that En had been at first, as though the mentioned the memories he'd mentioned it held would somehow provide a connection to the man himself.

His emotions themselves had calmed for the moment, a simple pained emptiness remaining that craved to be filled once more. Although it all still stung, fueled almost indulgently in a manner that denied any more reasonable logic, as unsurprising as it could only be. The idle movements of Caelestis' foot ceased, and instead his hand raised, eyes staring absentmindedly at his palm. He wondered, even as something itself that had always drawn him in so greatly, was it En that was simply too unpredictable? Too unreadable? Or was it he that lacked too greatly, too obliviously and idealistically in the consideration and understanding to truly harmonize at all with the ex-prince as he'd hoped? Perhaps there wasn't even any point in wondering now, though.

He sighed. "It's... still here, forgive me."

Beyond even everything else, it made him anxious, not harboring a clue as to what En was up to anymore. So easily, it felt, the man would slip through his fingers, and while he would not overly challenge any path En wished to take, it was hard not to worry, and not to fear the day that he would find nothing left of him at all.

As his hand returned to his side, Caelestis looked up just in time for a coincidental flicker of white hair appearing from around the corner in the distance. With widened eyes, his body froze for a briefest moment, until in the next, his form stood swiftly retreated behind the nearest wall. Heavens, it probably wasn't even him, yet the reassurances did little to calm the nervous, heavy pounding of his heart at the possibility alone. And around and about, his eyes scanned for the safest retreat. It was silly, in a way, but all that sounded in his head was that voice reminding that of course, he'd never want to see you.

He swallowed through the dryness of his throat, and gave into the risk and bolted away. A single thought lingered through the sudden adrenaline, still—one thing at least was for sure. You're too driven, too fearless, En. Please, be careful.

i am so late, but AFTER 10000 YEARS, FOLLOW-UP AKJHSGHJKS 😭💞💖💗✨

The only true complaint Caelestis had was that they couldn't spend more time together. Wandering aimlessly through the city in the mornings, dozing leisurely through the quiet afternoons, messing with pretentious nobles through the evenings—so many things had grown bland in comparison to the nights and any other occasions when they would finally meet once more. He'd found that much of it had largely become instead shopping for gifts and places to someday visit together in the future, focusing his efforts on those who would act in ill-regard to his lover, and lovingly daydreaming his way from the waking world when taking the pleasurable time to rest.

As ever needy as he was, it wasn't as though Caelestis wasn't used to time apart, but spending each day eagerly anticipating the idyllic time it all led up to, he began to wonder almost if he'd ought to simply sleep some days away entirely. He could only thank the relative abundance of entertaining pastimes that remained still that the urge had not won over quite yet.

It was any such night as the final illumination of the sun was lowered behind the horizon in only a soft glow, and the lights and lanterns surrounding were lit in balance of the shadowy darkness. Knowing even through his own poor sense of time that the elf must surely be free soon by now, it was hard to resist a more restless pace while he waited, and only at the sight of the executioner's approaching figure did his slow roam through the vicinity at last cease. A bright smile had lit up his face within a moment, yet before an eager word could be spoken in greeting, the unusually driven strides left the other already standing before him before his mind had quite caught up at all.

Eyes widened, Caelestis' mouth opened voicelessly without a clue what to say. Too charming? An unusual greeting, for certain.

The soft touch of the elf's hand against him contrasted the tone of which he spoke, which contrasted itself with the words themselves that left his mind swirling in a flustered surprise. It was always exciting to finally reunite, but his heart hadn't prepared so much for this rather sudden escalation. His lover only continued through the complete blank of Caelestis' mind, and the butterfly-provoking punch did far from lessen.

Even had he been accustomed to such straightforward expressions of affection, he wasn't certain it would be easy for anyone to not feel at least some extent of fluster at that.

And ah, he felt just a bit giddy inside.

Caelestis blinked at the lessened distance, intimate, in a manner that left him uncertain as to what was to come next, until their foreheads pressed together. Lightly and tenderly as he listened as well to the elf's soft, questioning voice, and it left his whole heart a-jumble. Had this man any clue just what he was doing?

"… I… My," he at last breathed in a faint chuckle, after a hopefully brief silence in need to simply gather himself. "You… truly don't hold back, do you?" Slowly, his hands reached to gently cup the sides of his lover's head, thumbs resting over his cheeks, and he stepped back only just enough to gaze at him face-to-face once more. "You say that as though I don't feel that very feeling when it comes to you, tugging at my heart and consuming my every waking moment just the same." And at this point, it would be hard to put into words at all how delightful the mutuality of the affection felt within him, and he could only hope it would be understood as well.

"Of course," he added, "it may be the wicked coaxings of my own wishful thinking to suggest, but I would simply embrace it wholeheartedly... don't you think?" Caelestis pulled him down for a light kiss, parting within a moment to only a breath's distance, and a satisfied smile left upon his lips. "—My love."
