The OC Above is Too...

Posted 6 years, 3 months ago (Edited 4 years, 9 days ago) by Orca

How this works: Post IC and state what the OC above is/does/has too much of. This can be based on looks, personality, behavior, etc.

Rules:

  • Use the word "too" at least once. That is the point of the game.
  • Please put effort into your responses. There's technically no sentence minimum, but please no two-word responses.
  • Your response should not be NSFW, offensive, or hurtful to real people. Let's confine the emotional pain to our characters.
  • Wait until three other people have posted before you post again, unless it's been 24 hours. In that case, only one other person must have posted.

You get the point, right? So let's start for real with Dr. Fire!

Izumi and Sachiko FairySugar

Izumi gently bouced his daughter as she whined and whimpered her little fist in her mouth as he spoke to the police officer in front of him. "Well to be honest I wasn't sure why they only choose to rob our apartments. We dont have anything of particular value. Im grateful you were around i wasn't expecting any officers to be out so late at night. It seems almost too late for anyone to be out. " he shook his head with a sigh "Once again. Im very grateful to you Officer." He said as he looked at his daughter who cooed at her father and grabbed his shirt with her drool covered hand. Why the police officer had choosen to help the pair was a mystery the world may never understand. Though perhaps it had to do with the fact Izumi had run out of his apartment (or really jumped through a window) barefoot holding his daughter to his chest as he did so. Why the other was wondering around so late at night didn't cross Izumi's mind.  Perhaps it was true that it was far too late for normal people to be out and about. But Cameron wasnt exactly normal now was he? Not that either of them knew that. He rubbed his eyes feeling exhausted. "I should go back inside to put Sachi to sleep and clean up. I hope you have a wonderful night Officer..?" he paused waiting for the other to tell him his name and when he did he smiled. "Cameron. Nice to meet you I'm Izumi. I'd say hope to see you around but then I wonder if Id curse myself with bad luck " he said with a smile.

Caelestis Solaestial

"A job, college, and a young daughter? That's certainly one busy life, if I say so myself." Caelestis sipped his drink—which was for once, not actually lemonade—while idly chatting with the man beside him at the bar. "Your diligence is commendable, but is it not difficult living by such a strict schedule?" He looked towards the one who had introduced himself as Izumi with an uncertain expression. It was hard to wrap his head around the other's lifestyle, and the fact that he had a child to take care of only furthered the pity Caelestis felt for him. It seemed to be anything but a downside to Izumi however, making him to be only even more baffling and admirable at the same time. The man's demeanor reminded him of himself, but aside from that, they seemed to have very little in common.

Continuing with a gentle smile, "Well, I'm glad you don't seem to mind it, but it wouldn't hurt to try to make a bit more time for yourself as well, don’t you think? There's so much out there in the world to experience—it's too harsh to limit yourself in such a way." He let out a soft chuckle. "Although if you do truly enjoy your life as it is, I suppose my concerns are unwarranted." Having finished speaking for now, Caelestis stopped look down at his glass, swishing the liquid around ever so slightly before lifting it to finish drinking the rest that was left. Ready to mingle elsewhere, he slid off his seat, only briefly turning back to Izumi to bid farewell. "Oh, and it was a pleasure meeting you. I'd love to chat again another time, were we to ever find the chance."

Smith (Human) kafkaesque

Smith couldn't help but put some skip into her step as she walked alongside the vampire and chirped to him, "You know what, sir? You're far too kind to be offering this to me, you know? I usually just admire the scenery whenever I go to the beach, but it's always pleasant with someone to accompany you, mm?" She briefly shifted her focus away from the sand underneath her feet, as well as the waves that crashed onto it every so often, just so she could look up at the other party and give him a beaming smile. Awww.

Now where the hell was her husband?

"But that asides," she hummed while attempting to answer his question, "I normally just come around here with my husband and son whenever we need time to relax. It's..." She paused for a moment to rub her chin, though her inflection remained as merry as always in spite of the slight hesitance that was starting to bleed into her mannerisms. "... It's not as often as I hope it is, if I have to be honest with you. I think in an ideal world, we'd be doing this at least once a week- I mean!" She let out a hasty laugh while giving the other party a sheepish grin. "Not the walks with you, necessarily- I'm just glad that I met you this time around, but... Well..."

With a quick whisking motion of her hand, Smith clarified in between chuffs, "I mean... The visits to the beach in general. It's really a lovely place here. It's warm, you can feel the sun on your skin..." Poor choice of words there, hon. She nonetheless held her arms out and sighed, "... And there's a lot of people, minus the whole need to prove oneself. It's just relaxing. You can never be too calm and collected for your own good, right?" Another pause. Apparently, poor Smith didn't even realize that was the exact ideal her bitch of a husband was trying to achieve... In the most extreme, perhaps morally corrupt way possible, but... Technically... Yea. That... Was going to be a problem!

"It might just be the air too, but-" she started before quickly breaking off into a laugh and squeaking, "Oh, I must be rambling a bit too much now, huh!" Honey... Smith had to rub at her eyes for a few seconds in case tears started to prick at the corners of her eyelids- And by the skies, would she never forgive herself if that turned out to be the case. "I really do apologize," she nonetheless professed as an apology, "It's just nice when I'm able to just walk somewhere scenic with another person, and just... Well... Feel the fresh air, mm?"

Again, the young aristocrat paused for a moment, then muttered in a quieter voice, "I... I just wish that I was able to do this more often, as said before... It's only too rare that I come around here, though I do think you can understand... Right?" Though at the same time, Smith was quick to condemn herself as a fool. Imagine rambling like this and leaving no room for the other to interject!

She now gave him another smile before asking, "By the way, how's that lemonade you're drinking? I heard that the vendors around here make it too sour or too sweet at times, but I think it's more of a matter of preference than anything else. Sometimes people like the sour variants more, sometimes the sweet ones. I'm personally a sweet variant, but I won't judge if you opt for something sour instead." She giggled while nudging some seawater-soaked sand with her foot. "I'll just be surprised because of how sweet you've been to me. Too sweet, really. I mean that as a compliment, though! I just... You know that old proverb about being what you eat, right? I think that's why... Something like that..."

@ NP: you're welcome to use her post-hospice version in your response, but lmk if this is the case so that I can respond appropriately!!

I maaaaaaaay also do a follow-up for NP if I have the time!!

Jan-Paul Jansen fizzelston

"You are too tired to read these," Jan-Paul said. His fingers tightened around the old paper. The letters were old ones, personal ones. Not the type an outside like him was supposed to read. He stared at Smith. "At least that's what my uncle told me," he said. Not sure why he talked to her anyway. She was a corpse. With her sunken eyes and wheezing breathing. Her skin was as light as paper and her eyes dull. Jan-Paul grimaced. Before opening the letter with the letter opener.
Jan-Paul folded the letter open and started to read. Occasionally Jan-Paul quickly scribbled something down on the notepad beside him while reading. Ages love letters. Epistles that informed her about a family Jan-Paul had never heard off. Void. Why did his uncle ask him to read these anyways? There were no banker's notes. No safe-codes. No mentions of money. Just the remains of a forgotten life. Jan-Paul eyed Smith again, as he slowly removed the small spectacles from his nose. Golden. Of course. He rubbed the glasses with his shirt as he cleared his throat.
"You did write a bunch of letters when you were younger. Right madam?" He asked. His ears pricked. "Did you like that? Writing?" He asked. His question lingered heavily in the hospice room and Jan-Paul uneasily shifted in his seat.

"I'm not a word magician. No." Jan-Paul used his letter opener again. A new letter. A new accomplishment that wishes her well. Jan-Paul suppressed a shiver. "I don't have people to write to," he confessed. The realization made his hands damp with sweat. "I'm sure… I won't get as many letters as you did, if I happen to...Get ,ill," he said. Using the last words loosely. "My uncle wouldn't write to me," he said. Jan-Paul's grip tightened around the opener. "My court would place a new puppet on the throne. I would be forgotten. As the world has forgotten you," Jan-Paul said. The merchant let put his breath and rolled out the next letter.

Haha I lived that, oh poor JP please grow a braincel 😭😭

Kade mossyrocks

"You're way too rich. No one should have that much money." Kara looked slightly repulsed and judgemental as they spoke. "Also, you're quite egotistical." They paused. "No offense, though," they quickly added, slightly embarrassed by what they had said. Jan-Paul smiled, almost menacingly. Kara shuddered, and continued. "I mean, you really seem to think only of yourself, and it kind of... blinds you to the truth. I mean, who in their right mind would go out of their way to find a crazy murder uncle and make him your right hand man?"

Taken aback by Kara's words, Jan-Paul reeled in shock, struggling to gather up the remnants of his dignity.

Yet Kara still continued. "Even the rest of your family, rich and evil as they are, know to stay away from him. I heard you're smart, so why don't you listen to your family? You're way too trusting when you get an idea; can't you see he's the real ruler on the throne? I'd keep an eye out for him if I were you, and learn to practice fighting. Your crazy murder uncle can't protect you all the time, especially if he's the one trying to kill you. Somehow I don't think he'd be content to remain behind the throne for much longer." Kara looked at Jan-Paul imploringly. "Please listen to me. I'm only doing this to help you.

Jan-Paul shifted awkwardly from one foot to the other. "Yeah, I'll be sure to keep that in mind," he chuckled. As he walked away from the colorful magpie, he, for the first time, began to doubt his decisions slightly. But his uncle wouldn't try to kill him– or would he?

 Lucasia Ragnvindr VictoryDrawsStuff

"I don't mean to be harsh but... You are a little too merciful." Lucasia told the Airbender, concern laced on her face.

"You always spare your enemy in a match in the end? That could be a fatal mistake if you aren't careful...I made the same mistake so I am only just telling you... But really, sometimes this world doesn't allow mercy to always prevail." the Twilight Heroine added.

.

Note for @NP: I will try to do follow-ups but I can't truly guarantee! Also, go with whatever you want for Lucasia, be harsh if you desire! :D

.

(FOLLOW UP TIME!!!)

"Ehhh? Pink? I believe you are mistaken? My hair is red, first of all!" Lucasia replied, utterly confused.

"Also yes? My cape is kinda glittery, and I wear a lot of jewelry. Or is it because of my magic?" the Twilight Heroine added.

"And lastly...oh. I am to lady-like? Girlish? Oh...I thought I wasn't, I never wanted to be like that..." she finally said, her voice suddenly taking on a tone of sadness and complete despair.

Prof. Alphonse TunaPetunia

Alphonse had to stretch his neck down to talk to this dragon, "Wow," he snorted. obviously holding back some laughter. "You are way too short! And I thought dragons were supposed to be huge and intimidating and stuff- or so i've heard." He'd chuckle, giving em a pat on the head, obviously messing with her at this point. "You're like a little kid, I thought you were a teenager, right?"

"You're also too brash for my liking. It's about planning. You plan before you do things! Especially fights, since someone like you could just get squashed if you messed with a real big dragon." What do you know about fighting, Aphonse? You're just a spindly noodle. Also calling her a fake dragon is just rude smh. "SO! As I've said. Short and brash, not a very good combination. Should probably be eating those vegetables you o-so hate." He snickered. Man, what a bully.

Alphonse put a hand to his chin, thinking. "yes.... you're right..- I SHOULD PLAN EVEN MORE! WHO CARES WHAT THEY THINK! well, me- but- The better the plan, the better the prize!" He cackled, holding his hand out for the stoney demon to shake it. "You are very good with advice, stone-y man! I WILL plan the biggest thing ever! MWAHAHAH!"

Fruitloop Troops21

"You are too old. You don't even know how old you are which is unexpected",Fruitloop said,"You also are bizarre. I never seen demons so I wonder what is it like to be one?" Fruitloop wasn't sure to be scared or curious because on one hand the demon looks scary but he barely even has anything to back up his scariness.

"Naive? Weakness?"Fruitloop tilted his head. Well,so far it hasn't caused him much trouble but he should take this person's words into mind.  Should he put up a bit of barrier from then on but then again it wouldn't hurt being nice to others. That works for his best friend, right?

BAKA! yanderechips

"Ung-- you're too quick, slow down!" The tsundere ran behind the critter human, panting for her schoolgirl breath to come back. She came to and halt and squatted, catching her breath. "Huff.... Slow down you- puff- bug.." When Yvette didn't answer, she only scoffed, but in a way that you seem like you're still catching your breath.

"Ugh, are you even listening to me?" Baka wiped the dust off of her long dress. "You could at least, the very least- just slow down.." Yvette started running again.

"Wait- COME BACK!!" What was she chasing Yvette for again?

Zinkyzor

Fidget looked around nervously " your too serious! " fidget suddenly chirped,  her mood switching at the snap of a finger " please lighten up at some point in life!! " fidget smiled. Fidget just kinda stood for a second before waving to baka " and please have a great day!! " and with that she left

NV PicklePantry

"You are kind. Far too kind," NV murmured. "You shield yourself with an icy, stoic attitude, but I can see it. Deep down you're caring and thoughtful. Especially to your children. You even learned the darkest magics to save your son and give him a second chance at a better life. That's kind, that's love. Not many families have bonds as nearly as strong. It's a testament to your dedication and your ideals, and tells me that you are a good man."

To think a day would come where NV would sit like this, with someone leaned against them. It was a warm feeling that filled them, a cozy feeling. Even the animals, normally so cautious and scared of them, stayed nearby and dared to chirp and squeak, knowing that if Caelestis was willing to be close to them then they weren't as harmful as they all thought.
Then came his words, as kind as ever, giving them another warmth inside them, a bubbling excitement one felt when praised by an idol. Yet there was something more to this warmth, as though they could only satisfy it when the praise came from Caelestis and Caelestis alone. It was one Envy would often try to snap them out of by burning the brand over their shoulder, even now, yet with him here, they felt the strength to ignore it.
     Until the offer was made.
NV's eyes widened. "Wh-What?" They quickly turned to look at him. What was he saying? He was willing to give up his features, his traits, his everything for them? To let them take it all? Why?
Isn't it obvious? cooed Envy inside their mind. Because you're hideous~
The mummy tensed up, the Sin cackled, You're beyond his help now, you know. All he can do is get you to take his face now. You'll feel better, and he won't have to look at you anymore. A win-win.
Their eye shook slightly with strain. That wasn't-- No, that wasn't true. Caelestis cared about them, he always said so! He was the one that sought them out most of the time! It wasn't out of pity or obligation, it-it couldn't be.
Look at him. At its command, they looked at his face. Look at those divine features. His eyes, his smile, his hair, his skin. All for you to take, no struggle or harm. Imagine all the people that would love you, or actually look your way! You'd be a god of beauty. Don't you want it? Who are you to deny it? Isn't that why you've been around him the entire time?
It was starting to feel uncomfortably hot. NV could feel their breathing shortening. Was that why? Was it really why they'd stayed around him? Not out of care but... want? They were drawn to his features and wanted them for themselves like some... some leech. It couldn't be. A shaky, bandaged hand reached towards Caelestis's face to caress and steady their nerves. The look in his eyes was caring, if not curious. There was no fear or animosity on his face. He cared. They cared, too. They cared about each other, didn't they?

     Who would care about you?

NV quickly recoiled their hand. Wraps that had slowly coiled around him removed themselves as reaction. How long... How long had those wraps been there? They almost mummified him but they... they didn't mean to...
"N-No," they whispered in a hushed tone. Quickly, they stood up and looked down at their hand with horror. What were they doing? Their gaze traveled back to Caelestis. "I..." Unable to explain themselves, they rushed away in a panic.
