It is a bit difficult to choose, both characters are very different yet very cool in their own way!

First of all, Toinette is a lovely character! She has a very loveable personality, and her story about her bond with her adopted father is very cute. Also her scroll magic sounds very interesting, I am curious to know more about how it works and how she uses it.

However, I think I have to say Nemu is my favourite out of the two. As someone who also struggles with low energy, she speaks to me. She feels like a very real and relatable character. I like how she's not perfect, and she struggles, but despite the fact her illness makes life difficult she still tries her best. I like stories about perseverance through struggle, I think it's very touching. Also, can I just say, the section that talks about her beloved roomba is very cute, haha. I'm glad to hear she has a companion who can help her out.

Estranged brothers turned enemies, who do you prefer, Eden or Carver?

Before I get into this, I just wanna say that both of them are really cool! I'm usually not a fan of human/humanoid characters but I was really interested by what I read on their pages :D

With that, I'm gonna have to go with Carver! While the struggling relationship between the two stood out to me, I found myself leaning more toward his side of the story. The feeling of not being good enough and not being able to live up to others' expectations is a very relatable feeling. I like how he knew what was right for him and didn't want to let his father and brother manipulate him in favor of his own freedom.

His personality is very believable as well! I've seen people make characters with similar personalities and get away with making them realistic, and this character certainly isn't an exception! In fact, I haven't seen many of them, so I think this is a great representation of these types of characters! As for a specific point, I like how he's able to hide a lot of it under a calm look, it's such a contrasting look - characters who don't look like what they actually are have always been pretty relatable to me.

I also love the little plot twists in his backstory and personality. For example, when reading his personality, I saw the note about his charismatic act and thought that he would turn out to be friendlier despite everything else I read, only for it to say that he isn't, and that was really what kept me hooked. I had a lot of fun reading about him <3

Going with owner and pet for this next one - Zipper or Rub?

fanitoon pinging since its been a bit! 

Firstly, these characters are super unique, ive never seen cuphead ocs before!! its super interesting!! 

But im gonna have to go with Zipper! I love the whole story behind why her name is zipper, and how she got that in the first place. It's really cool that she is growing and moving on from the incident and is able to use the zipper to signify that- even going as far to rename herself!! The twist of her meeting the devil a second time and him "fixing" her chin is soo good. Her source of comfort is taken away and only continues to remind her of the Devil- how will she overcome it this time?

I also love a character who is actually very kind but puts up a front to protect themselves. This along with her pretending to be brave is just such a good combo. Shes protecting herself by putting up a front- and im not really smart enough to word this right, but this reminds me of her zipper!! She has had so much taken away from her and she keeps adapting to keep herself safe.  

Also, I do love her relationship with Rub. I love that he is able to be Zipper's new comfort after her safety was ripped away from her. Its a really sweet friendship!!!

Brothers with just a little family drama.. Dakota or Michael 

this was a pretty hard choice-  i like how intertwined their stories are with each other and how reading both bios really changes your persepctive on their dynamic

that being said though...i had to choose dakota. the first thing that actually caught my eye was his pfp art, as well as a lot of the pictures in his gallery. the stylized black shading featured in a lot of it is very well done and fits the traditional cowboy vibe perfectly

now for the stuff in his bio: obviously it's a pretty big tragedy that he lost the two people he looked up to in life at such a young age, but what i find really well written is his reaction to it. instead of thinking that everything in the world is corrupt and that all hope is lost, dakotah still decides to value the morals his father once upheld. that choice alone shows very powerful agency in his character, not to mention the years he spends fighting for justice. i love seeing ocs who take action and aren't just witnesses to what's going on around them

and then there's the whole twist about michael being alive :0 since dakotah finding out he 'died' was part of what caused him to run away, finding out his response to the truth was interesting. his behavior is very realistic and understandable...ALSO bad transition but him having a filipino bf automatically gives him 100+ points in my book lets gooooo fellow pinoy (sorry i had to wrap it up my hands were getting tired)

as much as i love reverb and hes skrunkly , i gotta say i do enjoy skywiper !! i enjoy robots with minimal or no face ! but anyway moving away from the design (which i do enjoy mind you!) i like the fact he gets bitter as more people get the spotlight, sad he couldnt grow from it but i get it yknow ?? im sure his tunes were nice regardless ! :0 also personally im a big fan of shady morally gray or evil characters rubs my hands together , i love him a lot hes such a guy . 

I also enjoy that he wonders about his choices, though granted I do wonder if he'd continue on his path of betraying , it is one of the easier ways to get to the top sometimes . I SAY LET HIM BE EVIL !!!! (/lh) im just a sucker for protags or characters that are evil/morally questionable , so id have to go with Skywiper . I DO ENJOY REVERB THOUGH . DO NOT GET ME WRONG . but between the two id have to pick skywiper, also i like his name ..

While I like Pal and known about her existence from forum games before Bucket's, I still have to side with Bucket here.

She's just so sweet and I love that she doesn't entirely fit the typical housewife / support character trope. She has a detailed description and an actual personality and personal view on the world which I often miss about characters like this.

Just by reading her profile I felt this weird comfort. I think I'd feel so safe around her (if I was a bot), no wonder she rehabilitates others, she radiates healing energies.

I love love love genuinely kind characters!

ok i relate to Sunny way more than Vian overall, and I really like his design, especially with his eyes covered by his hair.

however I'm going with Vian. I LOVE comedic relief characters with something much deeper about them and not being to remember your life when you were alive? That's pretty deep. Not only do I love the concept, but I also love the execution in both design and ESPECIALLY personality. Characters that can both set the mood then immediately destroy it right after are honestly really great since they can make people to from "haha" to "holy shit." 

also i love ghosts so they have that going for them

Between two characters who go from mortal to deity (despite one returning to mortal), which do you prefer? Zylkaus or Hanoct?

KingYoshi hmmm my oh my. hhhh you’ve given me a pretty hard decision! both of these fellas have something interesting enough for me! zylkaus in particular has such intriguing origins in my opinion. from his backstory to being an inventor, to stealing powers for such inventions and perhaps not quite forgetting his main goal but dismissing it for his work, it’s all pretty unique in my opinion! PLUS i really love the inventions this guy makes, it was so fun to read through the list! or maybe i’m just a fella into inventive scientist characters lol.

however, at the end of the day, hanoct wins me ahaha- because chaos amirite/j OKAY BUT i can’t help being more appealed to him. i really enjoy mischeivious and playful characters, and hanoct’s no exception! he’s such a fun and havoc-wrecking character, yet there’s still a someone close to his heart [verdana], and i found that pretty wholesome. his backstory too got me connected to him, the guy had a pretty rough background and it’s no surprise why he’s desperate for freedom [happy he did tho]. if this character was in some show, i could tell he would be one of my favs lol. also small detail but the text details were nice as well, from the nwodedispu to the m!s$ing words, fitting for hanoct lol.

Ohhh boy this is really hard because both of these characters are so detailed and have so much effort/depth put into them?? And they're both really well-fleshed out...buuut I think I'm gonna lean towards Max! Partially because...well, ngl, he's just like me fr fr. Ok not so much anymore but I can definitely empathize with his struggles, especially the "my life seems OK, so why don't I feel like it?" kinda thing. I really feel for him though because even though he seems to have a genuine share of flaws, he also looks to be a sweet kid. Really good job on capturing his feelings and conflicts with your description. (I also say he's just like me because we share some interests lolol)

Not to dunk on Jon, though!! He's also really well-written, I really love characters who tend to project sort of "cooler" personas to cover up what (they may feel is) a less-than-nice personality. I like how despite being as sour as he can be, he really is a good person and I understand why he acts the way he does from what you say in his profile. I just don't think I'd pick him because I might need time to warm up to him myself if I knew someone like him irl, you know? I feel for both these guys > < Oh, and I guess I left out designs but I wanted to focus on the writing- but both designs are super cute! Even though I prefer Max in terms of character, I really like Jon's color palette ;v;

Pick a vampire sibling! Jeremiah or Temperance?

i'll be honest: when i opened jeremiah's page and read the first couple of sentences i had a feeling he'd be the one i'd pick. sure enough after reading both pages he's my selection for this post, though i really enjoy temperance as well! i'm drawn to jeremiah because i really enjoy flirtatious and high-charisma characters. however, jeremiah has a special appeal to me because of his kindhearted and caring nature beneath his extroverted and over-the-top exterior. i also think it's sweet that he's really into the idea of romance despite his overly flirtatious nature. also, i'm just charmed by his outfit and appearance; i don't have any vampire characters but i quite enjoy them myself and have even considered making one recently.

as for temperance i don't want to leave her out in the rain because she's definitely a great character too, she just hits on a few less of my favored tropes as compared to jeremiah. i love her fascination with unusual and 'gross' things. i also really like the fact that like jeremiah, she's a sweetheart on the inside and doesn't ever want to push people too far or cause trouble with her quirky nature. i was surprised to hear that she's introverted and i think that adds another layer to her character. that being said i often gravitate toward extroverted characters, perhaps because i'm so shy myself and kind of idolize people who are more socially adept!

two guys whose relationship is rather... fraught! dove and yska. who do you prefer?

Both of them are such interesting characters! I definitely had a lot of fun reading through both of their profiles. HOWEVER, the choice to me is pretty clear: I definitely prefer Dove. All in all, I just like his personality better! I love characters of this archetype-- serious, no-nonsense, meticulous, inexpressive. And when you get underneath that IT JUST GETS BETTER. Frustrated with his inferior position in the grand pecking order, he takes it out through sadism towards creatures weaker than himself, i.e. his targets. It's kind of despicable, but I LOVE IT. He's a very compelling character, with a lot of traits that I just... really like in characters!

Again, both of them are great but I'm just not as drawn to Yska's personality. It is definitely super interesting that the malleable, eager-to-please, almost chameleon-ish personality is just a front to be able to get what he wants from his targets. But I'm just not as compelled by Yska's motivations? I mean, if I were an eldritch abomination, you probably wouldn't find me trying to assimilate with humanity. If this was only in terms of design, I would have definitely picked Yska, though. I love characters with black eyes and black hair, and also the lovely cascading waves of his hair are just beautiful.

But, yeah. Personality > Design for me, so Dove takes the cake!

Pick between two man-made Divine Beings, Valentin or Celestio?

thalassophobic [pinging because it's been a month lol] from the start, i felt like i was going to love valentin ii [or at least, design-wise, especially with the warm colors i just really love <3]. after reading in both i could say that he is my favorite of the two! however, celestio is just as interesting! there's already a couple of things to note when it comes to his personality, such as his "cold" demeanor due to his distrustful/anxious views of people, and how his perfectionist/logical views. you can kind of see that how his relationship with his creator and mentor affected his character! although you said you're on the works on rewriting, i'd say it's quite soild for now, and i think i'll certainly enjoy him as much once i knew a little more about him :]

okay, now onto why i'd pick valentin! what i love about was your take on his traits! okay, he's an adventurous, people-person and i'm drawn to characters like that aha. however, i was quite surprise to know once valentin actually feels pressured to surpass his original! but honestly it a whole lot of sense :O having his overconfidence based on their standards that "they have to be the best", really makes him distinct from a crowd of ocs. and honestly. it's just really sweet that he has a big heart to others despite him believing his gonna be the perfect being one day.

unrelated but like your art looks really good and i just love how you organize the text of info in these bios! it's very neat and easy to read :O
