You could ask a relationship question in one of the other Q&A threads, but I thought a thread specifically for relationship questions would be fun, and good for developing character relationships!

In this thread, ask a question to the character a person posted above you in the thread, about a relationship in their life. You'll post IC as a character you would like to be asked about, and edit your post with your character's answer after the person below you asks them a question!

  • The relationships in this thread don't have to be romantic! You could ask about a character's relationship with their sibling, their parents, their child, their dog, their rival, their boss, their worshippers-- you get the idea!
  • If you want the person below to ask about a particular relationship (or give specific options, like either their brother or their best friend), you can specify at the bottom of your post; otherwise, people will ask you about a relationship that's listed on the character's profile. If you don't specify and no relationships are listed, you'll probably get a vague and potentially unfitting question like what their relationship with their mom is, so I recommend having at least one relationship listed somewhere.
  • Questions can be anything: how the characters met, their favorite thing about the other character, silly nicknames, the worst fight they ever had, their favorite memory together, their plans for the future-- anything about a relationship the character has. Try to ask an interesting or thoughtful question!
  • That said-- this is NOT intended to be a low-effort thread. You are expected to look at the profiles of each character you are asking about (at least whatever section describes their relationship or history together), and try to think of a relevant question to their relationship. The only exception is if there really is nothing on the characters' pages to base your question on.
  • This is not a NSFW thread. Questions and answers can be a little bit racy, but nothing above PG-13. There are other threads for adult questions.
  • This is generally an IC thread, but you can answer OOC if you want to or if you need to say something that the character wouldn't.
  • Claim first if you need time to read the character's profile. Please ping the person above you so you make sure that they see your response! If you're not sure how to do this, you simply type @THEIRUSERNAME, and they will be notified! This will not work if you edit the ping into your comment later (like if you wanted to claim and then edit your question in); you must put it in when you first submit the comment.
  • You are NOT ALLOWED to skip anyone in this thread. If you cannot see the post above you because the poster or you have blocked each other, wait for another person to comment before replying to the thread. Feel free to bump the thread to encourage others to participate!
  • Wait at least a couple of posts before going again.
  • You can bump the thread as often as you like; I don't mind.
  •  BE NICE and have fun!

🥀 | Rose ''Raquel'' Paradis BaliSTAR

ramyune pinging you since it's been a while that this thread was updated!

I know Irene doesn't have a profile (yet?) but her relationship with Renard intrigues me. I wonder how she treats him. He seems to "like" her quite a lot... but he keeps her locked. He also keeps Alistait locked from what I understand, but he seems to be more certain of his feelings for him. Why and how are they different to him?

NP : if for any reasons you don't feel comfortable with IC, feel free to ask about Ben & Raphael

v Never. He absolutely adores this kid and would never blame them for his bad relationship with Troy. Favriel is basically the only thing that kept him happy in their awful mariage. He would give his life for them. However, Favriel was also fully kept in the dark about his parents' awful relationship. Rose has never wanted her kid to feel bad because of her/for her. Recently Favriel has learned about it and it's been hard for Rose :( ... Favriel also got a glimpse of Rose's more shady past and yeah... it's not fun for her...

PAL lezbtron

does Rose hold any resentment for his own child, favriel, or is he fond of them regardless? im quite interested in how he views them :0

Corvidae Felisidae

I find her relationship with bucket-fullo-bolts interesting. Bucket seems to be strictly a pacifist, how does she feel about Pal's liking for violence?

VVV / They have come close, but they've never met face to face since the start of the war. Mainly because Corvidae is.. fearful. But if there was a time they met face to face, Corvidae would be scornful. Asphodel would plea with him to stop what he's doing, but Corvidae would only mock his words. He'd claim that the war was Asphodel's own doing, that he failed as a protector.. and as a brother. He wouldn't dare fight him though, he knows that he'd never win in close combat.

Maria Morales JacobToonz

If Corvidae were to ever see Asphodel again, what would he say to him?

—-

Maria and Emily (I never updated her name here, my bad) first came together thanks to Tay, a mutual. They hit it off pretty quickly after that!

Joanne Nakano Akeya

Where did Maria and Ella meet? Was it through mutual friends, or did they happen to meet by chance during one of Maria's performances?

Not Dead Luna sugarycoated

Faelrix pinging cause its been a week ! hope thats ok !

does jeong-hui think of his mother very often? or does everything else that he's been through overshadow her? does he have many good memories of her?

luna's boyfriend ACTIVELY encourages her behavior, often giving her tasks that involve killing! she's one of the best people he knows for that! he gives her other tasks as well like putting up cameras around town for him, or simply getting him a soda. she'll honestly do anything he asks her to! (she didn't start hurting people because he told her to, she was doing that before they met as well) luna will often push herself more than she really should for him as well, she desperately wants praise and approval from him. something he maniuplates her with !
idk if partners in crime is quite right for them. if i had to compare it to something, i'd say its more similar to light and misa's relationship from death note!

Asphodel Felisidae

It says that Luna is just generally not really a good person. How does her boyfriend feel about her cruelty to others, or is he the same as her? Are they like, a partners in crime kinda thing?

vv Asphodel does hope to pull his brother out of the darkness that’s consumed him, but every time they meet..that hope dwindles. As you may know, Asphodel doesn’t have it in him to kill his brother. If there was even a chance to help Corvidae, he’d take it.

Corvidae’s hatred mainly comes from the amount of mental wounds that was inflicted upon him for so many years. Asphodels absence from most of it was a scar that festered and never seemed to leave till the moment it turned into anger. If Asphodel just..talked to him about anything, maybe the story would have a different ending. But then again, that’s only a single cut out of the hundreds that wound his heart.

PAL lezbtron

Does Asphodel ever think about trying to redeem or not killing him? And does Corvidae ever think about what could have been have his brother been there more or ?

 Jericho Wey _Deadweight_

How well did Bolts get accustomed to Pal's status and importance in the world? What kind of problems arose, if any? Did those problems get solved easily, or were there some major hurdles? Did anyone disagree with them being together? I'm so curious :0

v Awesome question! Spoilered cuz TEXT

The main differences between the two is that Jericho, while accepting of where his life was going at the time, never intended to become a killer and as violent as he is. He always had that in him, and even though he regrets his choices, he doesn't dwell on that and continues forward because he isn't going to let it drag him down. He makes the best of his life while disliking the things he does, despite it being his own doing, because it's all he knows. He became as good as he is so he could make things easier for himself, as to not flounder around and end the lives of those he's after quickly and efficiently. He does not like unjust suffering.

Ezekiel, on the other hand, saw what was becoming of his brother and purposefully jumped on the train to get his hands into "the shit", so to speak. While Jericho holds remorse and empathy, Zeke does not. At least, in the grand scheme of things. He loves what he does and gladly pushes himself to become better and better at killing, as well as better and better at torturing. He has a lot of psychopathic tendencies, and it certainly shows when he's on a job. Jericho is understanding and able to change his opinion on a contract, while Ezekiel just doesn't care. He's after what he's after, and that's blood. He CAN be empathetic, but usually when circumstances are still favorable for him to do so.

This has definitely caused bitterness between the two, Jericho knows he can't change his brother and loves him to death, but he can't help but feel disgusted hearing anything to do with his jobs. Ezekiel thinks Jericho can be too soft, and believes at some point, it will get him killed. The two have actually genuinely fought and injured each other while doing jobs together, the disagreements often take the form of either letting someone go or silencing them. Ezekiel doesn't care if it's a random nobody in an alley, or the child of a client who saw too much, but Jericho wholeheartedly disagrees with involving/harming innocents. Thankfully, Jericho always manages to put Zeke in line, and he's definitely the bigger and better of the two at the end of the day, so it's not hard to beat some sense into him.

Otherwise, their work stays unaffected by their attitudes. The only thing that affects their work is themselves, as both of them live for their work and each other. Another couple of smaller differences is that Jericho would crumble under the weight of his guilt and remorse if Zeke passed away, while Zeke is more independent, despite being entirely raised from birth by his older brother. He still loves his older brother just as much, but just wouldn't be as affected if Jericho died. Lastly, Jericho prefers operating in their home country, the US, while Zeke prefers to work abroad, especially in Europe and Asia.

Yska silket

what are the biggest differences between jericho and his brother ezekiel, and have those differences ever caused conflict between them? how do their differences affect their attitude toward things like their work?

np: yska's relationships are in his links; his primary relationships of concern are with yukio and dove so i'd check out those links. he also has a sister named lyja who you can ask about if you want, but she doesn't have a profile yet!

v HEHE when i saw it was you i had a feeling it would be about lyja.

their relationship is a bit... fraught. i think they do care about each other, but they don't love each other the way we would expect human siblings to love each other. lyja is the older of the two and she considers yska... to basically be a baby; she looks down on him a fair bit but that's pretty common in their family since he is absolutely the 'black sheep'. she doesn't wish ill on him but she definitely infantilizes him and thinks he's not capable of making his own choices. she's very patronizing and teasing toward him. she thinks his relationship with yukio is the funniest thing in the world and she finds it very silly that he doesn't get along with dove, too. she doesn't take him all too seriously, but she does resent him slightly for choosing humans over his own family. in her eyes it's the equivalent to a person choosing to play video games all day and waste their life instead of engaging properly with society- he's wasting his time and energy on something trivial and making no progress where he should be.

as for the number of siblings, i haven't settled on how many but yska definitely has at least a dozen or so siblings, most of which he is distant from. big family!!

v OH as for dove- so their society is highly stratified and tiered based on the power of gods. in our parlance yska and his siblings would be more like demigods. his parents are a slight tier up from that, and then above that are the big OP scary things (this is a rough layout). dove is a direct agent of the big OP scary things, so technically he ranks above yska and his siblings in that his orders come straight from the mouths of the leaders of their society. it's kind of like how people look at police officers... they are "serving" the public yet simultaneously have power over the public.
that being said, the relationship with inquisitors like dove and "people" like lyja is most typically friendly and not adversarial, they rarely run into each other because they rarely come down to planets to encounter inquisitors, and when they do they don't usually have a tendency toward breaking rules and social norms like yska does.
