Ask a question to the user above you!

We have lots of threads to ask questions to or about characters, but what about the users? In the vein of the Say something to the TH user above you! thread and the I want to see a TH user who... thread (and serving basically as a non-anonymous CuriousCat), this is a thread to help you get to know your fellow TH users better by asking the person above you a question. In return, the person below you will pose a question to you. After you're asked a question, edit your post with your answer! 

If you're uncomfortable or don't want to answer the question you were given for any reason, just say so and leave a fun fact about yourself so the game still serves its purpose. If a question is truly problematic, message me with any concerns.

Rules:

  • Don't ask questions that are very personal or could be uncomfortable, and bear in mind that many TH users are minors, so while I encourage you to look at the profile of the user above you and ask about something mentioned if you like (like their pets, their hobbies, or their current project), please don't ask very personal questions like exactly where someone lives.
  • Try to ask something fun or interesting, but it's fine if you don't know the person above you at all-- getting to know each other better is the point of this thread! It's fine to ask something general like what their hobbies are, who their favorite fictional character is, how they came up with their username, which of their own characters is their favorite, or how they found ToyHouse.
  • Of course, it's great if you ask something more specific, too! If you know they have a lot of fandom characters, you might ask how they got into that fandom, or if they have a unique art style, you might ask how they developed it!
  • There's another thread for specific questions about characters, and another for worlds, but you can ask general/broader questions about a person's creations here, like how long they've been working on their story, or what inspires or influences them. I'm not going to keep writing examples, but you get the idea. Just use common sense and try to get to know your fellow TH users better!
  • You can ask multiple questions in your comment if you want to, but only one is fine, too. This can be as in-depth or as casual as you like.
  • Please ping the person above you so you make sure that they see your question! If you're not sure how to do this, you simply type @THEIRUSERNAME, and they will be notified! This will not work if you edit the ping into your comment later (like if you wanted to claim and then edit your question in); you must put it in when you first submit the comment.
  • You are NOT ALLOWED to skip anyone in this thread. If you cannot see the post above you because the poster or you have blocked each other, wait for another person to comment before replying to the thread. Feel free to bump the thread to encourage others to participate!
  • Wait at least a couple of posts before going again.
  • Edit your original comment with your answer to keep this clear; please DO NOT add new comments to the thread just to answer someone's question. This gets confusing. Take it to private messages if you want to have an ongoing conversation.
  • You can bump the thread as often as you like; I don't mind.
  • Be nice and have fun!   Please don't be rude if someone asks you a question you've already answered before! If that happens, you may link your previous response if you don't want to go over it again, but I recommend adding something new to say about the topic, if you can!
  • Want to play the game in reverse? Answer a question from the user above!

"Hedgemaze Expo" is the name of the main characters' band in my comic! I've been using either HedgemazeExpo or Hedgemaze as a username ever since, which is to say since 2003! Most people just call me Hej for short now.

The name itself doesn't mean much of anything, other than that I liked both words and liked the sort of paradoxical nature of an exposition dedicated to huge structures that can't be moved (what do they exhibit, photos? bush samples? tiny mazes?). In terms of the comic, it's just supposed to be a unique, kind of awkward, and silly band name, because in-story, it's an inside joke between my characters Jill and Amber.

v AWW YEA I LOVE TOO MANY!! For metal, I'd have to say GWAR. I saw them live in concert with Nekrogoblikon (love them too) and it was a life changing experience lol, Ministry and King Diamond are really good too and another really good underrated metal band is Job for a Cowboy, they're definitely my second favorite. For punk I'd have to say Adrenalin O.D. , Pere Ubu and New York Dolls! MC5 is really good too since they're considered the pioneers of punk since they started back in the '60s.

v okay, originally back in my danger days era it was zonesunsetz, then i lost interest in that and now its batsunsetz because thats my Name. i have no specific attatchments to sunsets its just a nice word

i made tha bat on monstergirlmaker at first and drew her after :) no specific inspo though it was judt the options i happened to choose

Are there any obscure/niche monsters from folklore that you would like to see OCs of?

v So, I read Hamlet in AP Literature class and I got pretty damn hooked on it. The hyperfixation on Hamlet then digievolved into a general hyperfixation on Shakespeare as a whole. Admittedly, I'm more interested in Shakespeare's stuff than non-Shakespeare plays but I do intend to check out stuff like the Ancient Greek plays and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (admittedly that one is Shakespeare-adjacent but it wasn't written by the Bard).

What inspired you to take such an interest in Shakespearean plays and other classic literatures? Do you also have the same fascination with other types of plays, such as Greek plays and literatures from other languages?

v I think I just liked how they sounded, a lot. I'm picky about how my music sounds and this bands was like candy to my ears, I just couldnt stop. I first discovered them by adding random songs onto my spotify playlist when I was young, maybe like 11 or 12 and they've just stuck with me. I was going through a bit of a phase when I first listened to them and ever since I have been hooked.

V It has got to be either Chelsea or Toby. Because out of all the characters there, those two are my favourite. Particularly I really like how the deer antlers on Chelsea is replaced by a rabbit ear headband, and I love Toby's furniture. And yes! I bought all the cards. ^^

WAAAA THE LAST SERVEERRRRR!!!!
It was a buggy mess but it was all we had.... I am not suuuuper upset because I saw it coming and I had the time to mentally prepare for it. But maaannn, it does feel empty. It is all forever gone now.... My childhood :( </3
There were so many levels I still wanted to play.... Like this weird level about a cursed mud tower???? XD. I did not get to finish that sadly.....
I hope my profile does not get corrupted now because I would forever lose all the community make-up stickers I have collected </3

(I will still keep making costumes because it is fun!!)

I just wish they would have given us a warning beforehand and time to play one last time :(

And If I remember right, I discovered them through a certain friend as a little child! We would play LBP1 at their house very often and I absolutely fell in love with it!! :D

i like them all for different reasons. admittedly, my bf got me to like sanemi. i didnt like him before, i thought he was an asshole LMFAO.
muichiro i relate to. i have a blunt personality, i used to be a really happy child and full of inspiration and then trauma just kept beating me down. i luckily didn't endure a twin, yknow.. dying but alas. im dissociated more often than not, i forget things easily. im just muichiro!
and rengoku is just a beautiful, magnificent creature LMAO. 

least favorites areeee:
kanae - id probably tolerate her more if the fandom didnt smash her and sanemi together like barbies tbh. hes pretty gay coded in his novel and im tired of the ship being forced down my throat. unfortunately fandom ruins so many characters like this for me and it sucks

muzan- he is surprisingly a boring character to me and i hate that we have to watch like 30 minutes of him talking every time theres a new season.

uhh goddd i dont actually dislike many characters in the series im crying. shinobu? ive seen too much nsfw of her without my consent but again, its just not really her fault.

V Currently I only have 1 cat, and he hates his own species lol. Y'know how when cats are about to fight, they kinda have a convo first—arching back, tilting their head, all that? Yeah, not my cat. He goes straight for the attack, no hesitation

v Can't think of any least favorites but I did really enjoy Sleeping Beauty and the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.
