Casper looks around, confused. This wasn't anywhere he'd been before. And he's been a lot of places. There was...nobody. Nothing. Like floating in an abyss of nothingness, whilst simultaneously being surrounded by thousands of people and buildings. The sounds he heard were dull and muted, like the static screaming of a nation of broken televisions. There were no cars, not that he could see. There were trees. So, so many trees. Overhead, green sunlight shone between blue leaves that resided upon yellow branches that sprouted from black grass. Everything was wrong. Casper's skin suddenly felt just a little too tight, his hands sweating callously as if it were a hundred degrees. But it wasn't. It was...cold. So very, very cold. Casper sat at the bottom of a tree with yellow wood, and settled his head in his hands.
In the distance, birds with scales instead of feathers scattered into the red sky, as they heard a loud yell of frustration and fear coming from the man who was now so very, very alone.
