PSA: Nonacrone (UPDATE 1; 10-2-18)

cerviidae Hello! I was someone who entered for a character, Tez, for this WTA. I only found out what happened later in the Freebie Bin through other users. 

On the 3rd of October, I received a PM from Nona which asked if I was still interested in Tez, to which I said yes. I was transfered the character almost immediately after. I haven't heard from anyone else who had the same thing happen, but I just wanted to share this, even though it really doesn't excuse what they did.

Hopefully some characters are still being passed around!

While I feel that’s good of them- I also feel it’s a stunt. Nona knew how everyone felt and likely just wanted some of the heat off of them. This won’t change how I view or feel about them. 

If she wanted to come here and voice her opinion she would- but she hasn’t. 

@CryLikeAWolf I low key agree. Advertising for almost a month, then suddenly changing their minds, and then changing their minds again even though they blacklisted so many people and got defensive? Irked.

She hasn’t done that. As you said, it’s still... too odd for them to change their mind so much.

I wasn't going to get involved as I have no dog in this fight, but fyi 75% of this thread is pure speculation.

You speculate Nonacrone was using the the WTA so that they /could/ sell the ocs at inflatted prices.
You speculate that they /might/ be using your ideas for their ocs.
You speculate that they are a tracer (and don't give me that bullshit that "I never said that". You implied it pretty clearly).

Do you have actual evidence to back any of this up?

As of right now the only tangible thing against them (and being a asshole does not a service review make) is that they were trying to sell freebies. For you, you are 1:3. I know I put my foot in my mouth last time for saying this, but please provide evidence if you are going to make accussations like this. This board has been up long enough you should be able to back up what you say. Otherwise you are on the fast track for slander.

Edit: "Potentially a Minor with NSFW Artwork" I missed this, but I want to point out you use a lot of maybe words for accusing someone of some pretty serious shit. I will be grateful if what you are warning people of is actually true, but if not, what you are doing has some pretty serious legal ramifications.

Authorized Honestly, I do agree, but this PSA does have a lot of valid points. As one of the people who experienced this situation at least with the WTA and her hostility first hand (or at least I saw the conversations happen in front of me) Nonacrone has done a lot of the stuff they say. For example, being hostile to people through chats and PM, as well as making a WTA and constantly spamming it on every single page of the freebie bin (to the point where I was actually going to pm them about spam, the notifications I got from the freebie bin from her alone were in the 50s). She specifically said that she had no attachment whatsoever to her characters, extending the WTA until every character had entries, yet when it ended, she said "None of them were what I had invisioned" basically. Which isn't how WTA works, considering that the applicants cant read Nona's mind and they'll just write what they envision for the characters, and whoever writes the most captivating story wins. Also, putting her characters up for offers after just putting them up for free and denying everyone who put hours into their work. So keep in mind, this PSA has at least some validity besides her selling free characters. Even so, I do agree that there should be at least some more evidence backing up the claims and speculations, or at least they should delete that for now and wait until they collect more evidence.

Authorized hi there! Thank you for bringing up some valid points, and I would like to remind you that this was a group effort. Most of what was in this PSA was an agreement between several people, and I'd like to try and explain our group reasoning for the things in this thread.

- Our speculation was not that they hosted the WTA to sell characters at inflated prices, but that they had used it to get people attached in order to receive potential money or art offers. Our evidence for this belief was that Nonacrone was still very eager to take offers on all her characters again.  

- This one was debated on if we should put it in, but it was decided that it should be added, due to the concern of many people who entered. We came to this simple belief because they had entries pm-ed and the fact they ended up hiding many characters right away. We can talk about removing it now, since her characters are now unhidden.

-And finally, I don't believe you should have mentioned this at all. It was a stretch in the beginning and many people already told us we should take it down, which we did. We no longer have this "speculation", and you mentioning it looks very petty, as we have already removed it from the PSA and apologized for it. No, this is not us giving you "bullshit", we admit that we made a mistake.

We thank you again for your comment, but unlike what you say, this is not slander. The closest thing to it is our tracing accusation which has been removed, as stated. These are all based on Nonachrone's actions and her way of handling many things, not things that make her look bad. She did it herself, and we are warning about it.
I also feel that you should not use language such as "fyi" and "bullshit" in something like a PSA, as it should be professional.
